  1. If I remember correctly(From Business Law), anything created relating to your job during the the term of your employement is owned by your employer even if it was created outside of your workplace. Therefore, any works created while at Marvel is owned by Marvel. On a semi-related note, is it copyrights or trademarks that expire, and pass into public domain?
  2. I seen the coaster in pictures. It is the Racing Coaster from Reithoffer Shows. It was actually in Lexington, NC for two weeks last year after leaving HRP. It didn't get setup but I rode it when I was little, and the Indy 500 coaster is set up at our fairgrounds this year. http://www.reithoffershows.com/attractions...etail.asp?ID=64
  3. Cedar Point did with theirs but it included new rides.
  4. Give this person a sign! Here's your sign! Heres afew signs, lol!
  5. Reads more like an "Save money while spending money" advertisement for Kings Island than a saving money. I would suggest skipping the games, not eating at the park, skipping out on buying anything from the stores, and we can't forget the free water suggestion that has already been made. Not sure how the food is at KI, but Carowinds was gross in 2006 and Freestyle's was in 2009. Amusement park food is normally known for being nasty, NORMALLY!
  6. Yes, I would likely complain even more...I worked Make-A-Wish day at Carowinds in 2005. I understand days like this are money in their pockets, but comeon. Days like this(Overly crowded) are part of the reason some people to come back to Carowinds(and I imagine KI). At Disney, tourist expect the park to be crowded, the lines long, and will stay all day. At Carowinds, a regular park guest may get annoyed and leave. How hard is it to put on the website and sign out front of the park, either "Welcome, _____Employees" or "Picnic Area Rented - Expect long lines". Better yet, since the pass holders are the bread and butter of the Paramount Parks, send out cards to season pass holders that "For your future enjoyment, ____ day is a "black out" day due to Special Event, no pass holders will admitted. We apologize for the inconvenience, and look for to your next visit."
  7. How many more times is it going to have to be said, ask the park managers not the forum members on KIC. To answer you question, KI was 24 hour Security so they don't close. However, I imagine they don't want people around more than an hour after the park closes(except Maintenance).
  8. Carowinds uses the same snake at the end for Carolina Cobra, and it starts out the same too. What it is really funny is they clearly show a B&M hyper but I can't tell if it is Diamondback or Behemoth
  9. http://rodeo.cincinnati.com/getlocal/gpsto...&sid=150662 Wasn't originally planned to be at KI. Concert dates and locations http://www.thecelebritycafe.com/features/28833.html
  10. One thing that should be learned from this story is to NEVER expect something free. I agree with the posters who said that there are other attraction included in the ticket price than rides.
  11. They have more to offer than Kings Island, personally I think its KI that needs to step it up in that department. Chaos rides have been disappearing quickly ever since the accident at Michigan's Adventure, so no surprises here. For me the rides are rather dull so I'm not too upset seeing them go. It may not help that Chance Rides is no longer promoting the Chaos, and I guess that means they are making new ones. I imagine at one point parts for the ride will become hard to get.
  12. That listing has been up for years, I found it back in 2006. Doesn't mean that it is for sure, the one at Cedar Point, or that Chaos will be removed. Chances are it is, but chances are it won't be sold.
  13. Viacom and Cedar Fair have already had talks, and the number of Scooby Snacks was too high for Cedar Fair?
  14. Magic Mountain was Wallyworld, and PGA(CGA) has Beverly Hills Cop.
  15. Knotts.com is confusing, the site is very poorly managed. It goes from one layout to another, and back. On one rides page, Silver Bullet isn't even listed.
  16. So it seems the Ride Rotation program only benefited Carowinds. However, Carowinds gave their Wave Swinger to PGA in 2001.
  17. Sometimes you have to skip a step, and go to the top to get matters fixed. If KIGR doesn't appear to be listening, and I assume that KI Management isn't listening either as I am willing to bet someone in KI's management reads KIC. Then the next step is to go to corporate. However, any letter sent to Cedar Fair will be sent to the park that the letter pretains to. On one hand, this means corporate is aware of the issue, and may deal with it, but on the other, corporate may wait for more letters with the same issue before taking action. I am willing to bet that if enough people follow Interpreter's suggestion then someone will stand up and do something about it.
  18. Does hammering home the value of admission mean going up or down?
  19. Wet n' Wild Emerald Pointe did this until 2008, I asked the revenue manager about itin 2007, and he said that it is a convenience charge. I also made the point that no other park major parks were selling tickets online at a higher price. Now Wet n' Wild charges the same price online as they do at the park. EDIT: Just checked the SFOG site, and they advertise "ONLINE SPECIAL — $29.99 Buy your tickets online and everyone pays the kids price of $29.99." I agree with Interpreter's following post, it borders on deception. It would make much more sense to make the Print-n-go charge a hidden fee in the price of the online ticket. However, it still keeps the price higher at the gate.
  20. I got a 90 also, I missed the one about Fresh Horses.
  21. For Drop Zone, something to think about is that the magnets(atleast the Carowinds Drop Zone) are "ON" when the brakes are letting the cars pass thru. When the brakes are "OFF" the carts stop where they are. Example when you hit the E-stop at Drop Zone, you can stop the passenger cars towards the top of the brakes, which is quite amusing to see. The lift carts will still be at the top of the tower and the passenger cars stopped whereever the brakes stopped them. At Carowinds, we let a guest ride with a fake leg and nothing odd happened. However, I would check with Kings Island Guest Relations or the Drop Zone ops there before riding. Also, I believe Carowinds has taken the signs down that pretained to this and electronics. The metal detectors at Carowinds used to mess up pictures on my camera but Drop Zone had no effect.
  22. Question, what about the parks buying themselves(or part of) from Six Flags then leasing themselves(or the name) back to Six Flags? In a sense making a park in own company being managed by Six Flags Inc.
  23. I wouldn't pay more than park admission for the first public ride on anything, however I would pay for an actual seat to put in my home if I had the money to spare. I would also like to have a Log from the Flume to make into a decorative bed. ~Roller"I need to be rich"Nut
  24. That shocked me too, seeing how Cedar Fair came from the names Cedar Point and Valleyfair! I wasn't surprised that CGA is being looked at but I was surprised that MiA wasn't listed. I was also expecting Carowinds to be on the list of being looked at for possible sale.
