  1. Hanna Barbera and Scooby Doo do NOT expire. They are never-ending licenses, this is more than likely a made up story but cover-up why the nicktoons are really invading our kiddy areas. Cartoons are being used as a ploy to get kids to ride the rides. They are being used as an anti-scare tatic for the kids to ride. Put simply, place a child's favorite cartoon on a ride, the child is comfortable with riding.
  2. It was also said that the Nicktoons could invade Cedar Point, Worlds of Fun, Dorney, and the others. I think we will see Cedar Fair assimilate the best parts of Paramount Parks and Cedar Fair together. I am more worried about Scooby than Nicktoons or Peanuts.
  3. I guess this means we will remain Paramount's Carowinds, Paramount's Kings Island until 2007. I wonder when Paramount Parks Employees will start seeing changes.
  4. I have a photo gallery over at my site that allows members to submit photos.

    Delirium

Carowinds Opening Day didn't go all that great. Guest were complaining about everything we did, the rides were doing their normal opening weekend pattern of having problems. It was cold and the park was empty.
  6. Anyone got a photo of the new lapbars on Racer?
  7. http://www.pbase.com/jamminj/image/41022231 There is the sign from Carowinds.
  8. Ya'll do know that just because we are for sale as a chain doesn't mean that we will be sold as a chain? Keep in mind that Paramount didn't buy Australia's Wonderland in 1992, and it was sold to australian investors.
  9. Actually they have 10 parks, 7 amusement parks(some with water parks), and three waterparks.
  10. Rumor down here is that, we will lose the Paramount name. Park Services at Carowinds got new uniforms this season, and they don't have a Paramount Parks logo on them. Also, our new go-kart track is named Thunder Raceway instead of Days Of Thunder.
  11. Honestly, I think smoothness relies more on the banking of the turns, the wheel design, how much space is allowed for the cars to move around on the track, and the forces on the track. I don't know but if ya'll ever get a chance to come to Carowinds, watch how much the Hurler trains shake going thru the first banked turn from the station.
  12. Ya'll can eat in Oscar's while you are playing in the park?
  13. The Subway building is still there, it is being changed into a Pizza shop. The games prices haven't went up any as far as I know, there wasn't any games under three dollars last season. As for food, I doubt the pizza slices have gotten any smaller. I know the pizza slices I have seen are 90 degree angles and as long as a pencil. Somehow I doubt a funnel cake is over six dollars, and for seven dollars it should include a drink. I will see what I can find out when I go by Outer Hank's Friday afternoon.
  14. Paramount Parks is cutting spending, and increasing prices for all Paramount Parks due to the sell of the company. I think Hard Rock Park opening in 2008 will cause Carowinds to lower admission.
  15. It appears as if Paramount is starting to remove the Paramount themes, or simply stop using them. There will never be a giga coaster in Carowinds, we will be lucky if we ever get a hyper.
  16. I think that if Carowinds keeps raising the prices, they are going to price them selves into dropping attendance. I don't know about games, but I think they were 3 dollars last season.
  17. I hope you mean Happy Days, I don't know if the menu changed or not.
  18. Honestly, I don't think it is a kiddy ride. Just the middle hill is as big as the Carowinds Taxi Chase(15 feet roughly).
  19. http://www3.paramountparks.com/carowinds/s...season_pass.cfm It is in the flash animation, but for what it doesn't say. Here is what I know happened last season. NO discounts on any thing other than Skycoaster, Season Pass:10 dollars per person. Park Dollars:Go to Admission Services, purchase "Park Dollars" they have nicktoons on them. You can 1 park dollar for 90 cents. Events:Two ride Tuesdays, WaterWorks Wednesdays, County Fair Satudays, and Kids' Sundays. Season Pass Mailers have more information.
  20. Since people wanted it to. A swimming pool and play areas? Sounds like Carowinds really did put some money into the campground.
  21. I don't, mine train coasters generally are family coasters, and family rides tend to hang around forever.

    Breaking news

I would be counting on Flight of Fear being rethemed.
  23. Yes, azul means blue. However, "Azul" doesn't translate in this case because it is the name of the train on the show.
