Carowinds ro get Boomerang Bay
RollerNut replied to The-Snapper's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Basically, the waterpakr will more than likely get a few plywood cutouts, a fresh coast of paint, more trees, and new new building. Along with a pool that was a pond, and a slide from PKD. -
Kings Island to Overhaul Children's Area for 2006
RollerNut replied to ZosoBeast's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
The Phantom Flyer is not a Aviator ride. Avatar sounds like an spinning coaster. "A ride based on "Blue's Clues," with children actually riding in "Blue" shaped cars which will jump up and down as they circle her house." Sounds like the Tumble Bug. Keep in mind, Carowinds advertises Dora The Explorer's Adventure as all new in 2005, but the ride has been there since 1973. "A Bikini Bottom attraction that will replace the current Green Slime Zone Water Maze. "Guests will enter in through SpongeBob's Pineapple and exit through Squidword's Tiki House," Siebert said. "It's somewhat a walk-through attraction."" More than like will be a remodeled waterplay area. -
Is it just me or does it look like a model?

Six Flags to close AstroWorld

Now that is really sad. -
Funhouse Express is in the Paramount Action F/X

Please delete.

PKI's should be completed today along with PKD.

http://www.canadas-wonderland.com/fearfest/index.cfm If you look at this list, half of the attractions are themed to Sleepy Hollow. Does anyone see the repetition in this?

False, check out the gallery of SFFT at Lone Star Thrills. Boardwalk Canyon Blaster. Rides and roller coasters do sometimes get put in storage without being constructed.

Any one ever been to Carowinds?
RollerNut replied to BeastVortexFan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Carowinds is my home park, and I own Carowinds Zone Carowinds is a small park but has a few good coasters. -
I would rather the parks drop the Paramount names and themes all together, and go back to be Theme Parks rather than Movie Parks.
-
They have done most of that before..... Most of it would be changed in the offseason.
-
Yes, Thunder Road is wooden backwards/forewards coaster at Carowinds.
-
WOW! PKI tells you why a ride is down. I wish Carowinds did that.
-
You may miss hints about 06.

It is sad to say but Paramount Park is doomed due to the fact that they ain't Disney. Paramount Movies aren't timeless like Mickey Mouse and his friends. So there for in ten more years, the older movies will be replaced with newer ones. This will doom Paramount in the long run as they can't keep reinventing the parks. Paramount Parks will be done by 2020!

The Indoor Pirate Ship is gone, that was Blackbeard's Revenge(1985-1999), it was replaced with the Saturator. The other ride (Frenzoid) is still there but rarly ever operates. It is due to be removed in the next few years.
-
Hmm, and how old is the world's oldest coaster? Racer isn't going anywhere nor is Beast. If they do rot out, PKI would go in and over time replace the rotted pieces just as they do the track. Wooden coasters are built to last unlike their steel cousins that end up being replaced by 10 years 7 out of 10 times.
-
2006 Nick Expansion, Maybe. The Les Taxis will not be returning in any form. Why would they remove a ride that big just to reinstall it in a different location when they could have put Stunt Track somewhere else. If PKI gets a new car ride it will not be in 2006 or 2007.

I am "counting my dollars" on Top Gun for PKD.
-
Oh, I can already say that 2006 is Boomerang Bay at Carowinds for sure. That ain't no mystery. I can also say this, Frenzoid's days are numbered and WhiteWater Falls may be doomed too. Bad thing is, I don't have to have employees feeding me this information neither. It is implied by parkfeedback.com

Hades` turn banked at 90 degrees
RollerNut replied to CoastersRZ's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
That looks like a major ouch. Don't they know wooden coasters aren't designed to do that. -
Most of Stealth's problems were fixed when It came to Carowinds, the problem was that PGA (appartly) didn't maintain Stealth, and it became SBNO most of the time. As far as the original flying coaster plans goes. Carowinds would have got theirs in 2001,2002 or 2003. The blueprints for BORG are dead giveaway on that as Nick Central(phase 1) isn't fully updated, and the plans changed (alot) over the winter.

Paramount Television(Viacom) owns CBS, TNN(Spike TV), MTV, CMT, VH1, Showtime, BET, Nickelodeon, TNT.... God, half of cable's TV shows and stations are owned by Paramount(Viacom). Paramount has their shows on Disney's secondary channel(ABC Family) and Warner Brothers's local stations. http://www.paramount.com/television/
