  1. Which cell provider do you have and how much is the replacemetn costing you? Do you have insurance on the phone? I am currently on my 2nd Razr, i have not dropped it, it has not been touched by water, or had any damage done to it. Just like the first one, the screen has gone completely white. According to Verizon I can pay 50 bucks for a new, or full retail on any other phone I'd like to purchase.
  2. So they brought in a crane for a motherboard? Interesting. With all due respect to KI Man, chalk up the broken motherboard theory to a dippin dots guy's opinion, its just a rumor hes heard circulating around through the employees, he works in games. Tomb Raider had a bad board in the audio/show system earlier this summer which was why the show was not running for a while. The issue now is mechanical. Everyone's an expert. I miss the days of riding in the delorean to skyline...
  3. When did they stop doing that? I only remember that very vaguely. Once every summer my dad would take me to Kings Island, just me and him and the antique cars were my favorite thing at the time. I remember we kept riding the different sides trying to compare the layouts to see if they were any different and I thought it was cool to actually drive and press the pedal.
  4. I'm a triple platinum hockey coach.
  5. I really don't see why so many people sling mud at Wikipedia, sure anyone can edit it, but if you ever doubt what an article says just go to the bottom and view the sources for further reading and research. Wikipedia is just organizing information for you. As for the screamscape thing, thats just usal screamscape. They never really have that much more "inside info" than anyone else, just a porrly laid out site with massive amounts of advertisements and never have any real news. The fact that they have to confirm what they believe to be the truth shows they dont really know the truth at all. Take anything screamscape says with a very large grain of salt.
  6. Its definently some of the best food in the park too.
  7. KIBeast! Excellent trip report! Glad to see you had a good time and got up to KI before the season ended. Also, your married now! Congrats man! Are you possitive there was a trim going down the first drop of SOB?
  8. I'm not sure what rides they closed or if they did, but they did do away with the animals and wild life attraction.
  9. Of course they are, just as KI was a staging area for X flight before it went to Michigan's Adventure.
  10. Hi, Thanks for posting. I am going this weekend and have tickets to the Fright Feast. Could you tell me where you DO stand to go in. (If you are IN the park looking OUT towards the parking lot is it the usual entrance on the right...nearest to the line where you get your hand stamped to go out?) I am sorry that you got "jumped on" for your post. A lot of people seem to be a little testy with negative comments around here lately...maybe it's the thought of the season coming to an end?! I understand you adding your Golden Ticket comment to just give a little insight that you do know what an amusement park is supposed to be like. I did not find it egotistical to mention. If people don't think that the Golden Tickets awards are anything it's funny that a LOT of people go out of their way to brag when Kings Island wins one. Thanks again. Well said standbyeme. skjackson, if you don't mind me asking; why exactly do you get a Golden Ticket vote? What is your role in the industry? I dont really see how mentioning the Golden Ticket thing is wrong or how the Golden Ticket thing has become a joke, no one seems to be saying that when KI whens best kids area every year and no one else on here seems to be involved in the industry enough to get a vote. So jackson, maybe some of these people would be a little more understanding if you described what you do in the industry to get a vote.
  11. Al Collins himself showed me 2 napkins a menu and 1 full legal pad with nothing but formulas, drawings, and jokes from him, Mr. Allen, and many others who contributed to the actual design of The Beast. So yes it was a napkin thank you. Most people do not understand the scope of this project, there were engineers working for places like GE that quit there jobs to work on this project. I personally know a carpenter that quit his job of framing houses to work on the project, he now has his own company that he started after The Beast was done. That company is now one of the top builders in Florida. And if you had the chance to ask any of the designers, they would put the credit some where else. Relax monroe, i believe you, i was making a joke at how well I know The Beast video.
  12. When Boddah and I rode during the first weekend of HH and on HH media night SOB was an awesome ride. We rode in the very last seat eeach time, got air going down the first hill, hill into the rose bowl, and off of the mid course turn.
  13. So they brought in a crane for a motherboard? Interesting. With all due respect to KI Man, chalk up the broken motherboard theory to a dippin dots guy's opinion, its just a rumor hes heard circulating around through the employees, he works in games.
  14. He got it from The Beast video they showed in the queue line for two years! Seriously, i can recite the whole thing if need be.
  15. It was on the back of a paper menu, not a napkin, I can recite the rest of the video you'd like.
  16. Before RCCA built Son of Beast, they had constructed 3 coasters (http://www.rcdb.com/ir.htm?contact=114), one of them by the same designer as SOB. Also keep in mind that Kings Island sued halfway through construction, formed Roller Coaster Corporation of Ohio, and then finished the construction themselves.
  17. Not to mention the historical operations crew they have each year!
  18. Where the turnaround of that wooden coaster and the bavarian beetle (was it called that back then?) are, is that where Riverbend is now?
  19. ^That ones my favorite you added. Notice the detail in the theming at the bottom, reminds me of an CP in the past and check out those Ginko trees. KD's section that was themed after Coney Island still has those Ginko trees standing I believe.
  20. Id take Firehawk over Dominator any day. If we got any ride from the now defunct rides side of Geauga Lake I would hope it to be the Americana ferris wheel.
  21. I personally found the original friday to be better than its sequel "next friday". Oh, were not talking about movies?
  22. Ok what part of Halloween Haunt is "family appropriate"???? This is a time for 13 and over only please so why should Halloween Haunt be "family appropriate"?? I like things the way they are!! This year it is a lot better than last. As for the show - did you happen to see people outside of the area telling people - and particularly parents going in there with small children - that it is not appropriate for children under 13 years of age because there is suggestive clothing and dancing? If you want "family appropriate" please check out Nick or Treat that happens in the morning/afternoon because after 5:30 it transforms into an adult oriented haunt site. Adult in that it is not good for young or easily frightened children. You can also turn on your television set any time and see that the dancing and wardrobe in that show is no different that things I see on "regular" TV. Cedar Fair has not made this a secret that they are trying to beef up their Halloween Haunt and that next year it will be even bloodier, more gory, and more scary. This year is only a peek into the future at Kings Island. I for one am happy to see the changes. Not to mention that they also warn you before the show with a voice announcement that the show contains graphic images and language and the in turn give you plenty of time to leave if you so choose to opt out.
  23. How much does it typically cost you to rent space at lighthouse point and where did you buy your RV from?
