I doubt they will change the name and drop the Paramount, Paramount owns the park to promote its movies, not everyone knows that Tomb Raider and Italian Job are paramount movies, Im sure Viacom wants the Paramount name expressed when it can be.
-
Sorry, I wasnt clear, in the past few years it was open i meant, toward the end of its life it suffered a lot of downtime.
-
^Ok its time to clear some things up. FACTS: -King Cobra is closed -King Cobra's remains sit in a field behind the park that is off limits to guests. -Maintenance issues with the ride coerced the park to close it after it was assesed that the space could be utilized for another ride(s) that would have better uptime and potentially draw more guests. -The coaster was getting older and as obvious signs showed, it wasntholding up as well as other coasters in the park. -Spare parts in North America are NOT hard to get for these coasters built by Togo, other Togo coasters still operate throughout North America including two other stand ups at Paramounts Kings Dominion and Paramount's Canada's Wonderland, and a Togo Hyper out in Las vegas at the New York New York resort. -Togo went out of business in North America after its loss in a lawsuit with Knotts Berry Farm, Togo's North American headquarters were in Cincinnati Ohio. -As Boddah1994 confirmed, and others who were on the tours and who have seen the track up close can testify to the fact that the ride was dissasembeled with no intent as being sold as an amusement ride again. -While on the internet for sale, it was only for sale as spare parts, track, and trains. -At one point the trains were almost bought, but the deal fell through. -King Cobra is not coming back, not at Kings Island, not at any other park, ever. -No one was ever killed riding King Cobra although accidents did occur on Shockwave, a similar Togo stand up at Kings Dominion. While KI has never confirmed why they removed KC for exact reasons many speculate that it was the steel that KC was built out of. Togo had a bad reputation with many of its coasters in America being built from cheaper Jappanesse steel that didnt withstand heat too well and that this is what led to the demise of King Cobra. Whatever the reason, Togo has a sullied reputation in North America for building coasters that have had accidents due to restraint problems, horrible maitnenace issues (KBF lawsuit) and horrible aging, as well as extremely rough rides (the New YOrk New York coaster in vegas). However, they still seem to be very profitable in Japan.

Im gonna recreate this great coaster and its "theming" and que line in RCT3 then put it up for download, theres some stuff I dont remember about the ride though, any one got any good pics of the station?

Yeah lets all go ride Mini Kingda Ka..........judging from the fact that RCDB doesnt know and none of us live anyway near Thorpe Park........id say the name has not been anounced yet.....wow did i have to think about that? -
^it is the same one, Jungle Jim bought it from Kings Island, youll see when the rest of the pics are done.

A back? At Jungle Jims currently there is a 5/3 bank themed after a Roman style building, maggie moo moo's ice cream, starbucks coffe, then when i was there the other day the backside of the store features a carpet outlet and some other stuff that i dont exactly remember. A couple years ago I was working for my neighbor with a company called "Dan's Striping" who was re-painting the parking lot lines for Jungle Jim and laying out plans for the new parking lot section, one day while working we actually got to talk to Jungle Jim and he told us about the plans for the mono rail which unfortuanently have been pushed back, but it is going to happen. Ill talk more about that when the pictures are finnaly done. BTW, Klocksters pictures show much better what state the King Kobra track is in and shows evidence of how the ride was dissasembled. The ride was never intended to be sold as ana musement ride again, the way it was taken down was not wtih fantastic care, it was just for sale as scrap metal and spare coaster parts. Im sure if Klockster can get the right permissions he will post them.
-
and you know this how?
-
That building in the back is the monorail station and that picture was put there to keep people guessing, lol, that elephant used to be in a PKI fountain in HB land and now that a ton of people see it theyre probably gonna make comments about how much they miss it and how the park was stupid to take it out and how they cant cope with change *rolls eyes*, i bet a bunch of old school fan boys will flock to it at Jungle Jims like catholics to that bleeding virign mary statue out in California.
-
^Because to post a picture in the forums here he would need the html code for it, which unless your a webmaster for this site or its gallery you dont have acces to the html codes, so a link is what needs to be provied. By the way, I will have the Jungle Jims pictures up soon... ^Sorry thats so freaking big, the first time i posted it, it was fine, now its just being stupid.

its not an option on RCT3
-
RCT3 only lets you make the coaster trains one solid color.
-
I dont know jack what I'm talking about, I bet you might have a clue what air pressure has to do with Vortex, I'm very interested in the parade floats.
-
ahahahahahaha yeah right...
-
Yeah, Jungle Jim will be getting the monorail to work, my neighbor is a fairfield city council member and she was telling me its taking forever for him to get a permit for the ride from the city of fairfield and he needs to have state inspectors come do their inspection of the ride after its completion which wontbe for awhile, its planned to be in the next few phases of his stores construction however, it was supposed to be open earlier....the station and amintenance house for the cars is completely buitl and even featrues transfer track, there are 4 trains. On the front of the store a 5th train, that is even painted sits on a mock track so people can see it off of Route 4 while many footers are in place for the rest of the track. Ill go take pictures soon, I would tonight ifi t wasnt dark already.
-
I dont know if Ill be back Brandon, if I will it will be at Beast again.
-
Wow you really wasted the time and energy to post that.....the IJ recreation will feature real fire and water effects and some of the best theming detail around, a download should be out this weekend.
-
^hahah awesome, thanks.

RCT3 is a good game and the advantage it has is the camera and free flying camera moods as wel as the fact that its 3d and you can ride the rides plus its more up to date than the other games, i still play RCT1 on my laptop, as far as realism goes RCT1 is more realistic, but when making a recreation id rather use RCT3. I did IJ:ST for flightoffear1996 and heres how its looking so far.... If you notice certain areas around the scenes depicted are not completely constructed so dont say "HEY ITS NOT DONE!" Im still finishing it.
-
Thats a good question, although since Six Flags owns the rides and has quite a few other parks, most of them will probably be relocated to other Six Flags parks.
-
^That link doesnt work, and Boddah's right, the way it is cut apart makes it unusable and it would cost way more than the coaster is worth to put that track back together, KC was never for sale as a ride after it was dismantled it was put on that site in case anyone wanted to purchase the trains, spare parts, or scrap metal, its sad to say it but KC is no more. The trains are still kept because they can still be sold or used as spare parts at one of the other two Paramount sister parks that still operate Togo stand ups. Togo has long been out of business in the North America (theyre American headquarters used to be in Cincinnati) however Togo still makes and operates coasters in Japan where a potential buyer could be interested some day. If PKI was keeping the trains around for a museum of defunct rides I'm sure theyd be kept in better condition, but who knows, anythings possible, Id love to see a museum too.
-
^it was never for sale as a ride, just as scrap metal.
-
Im not trying to be negative, just telling the truth, its not coming back at any park.
-
^Are you another one of the silly people boycotting the park due to a lack of campground and equal oppourtunity lodging facilities? Give me a break. Campground back in 2007.
