Ok, a lot of people in other topics are saying that Top Gun will be the next ride to be removed or whatever. While no one knows what the plans are for the ride, its still a great ride and runs well and is a crowd favorite, a lot of people feel KI will tear it down. I came across something interesting on RCDB and thought this would be a muche better idea than tearing down Top Gun. On an Arrow Suspended coaster in England called "Vampire" it was renovated to use Vekoma floorless trains, the same trains that are used on Vekoma suspended family coasters like Runaway Reptar. It was also renovated. I thought this was an awesome way to make a great ride even better. I could really see KI doing this: Eventually the Top Gun theme will be dropped and the trains would be changed with floorless vekoma ones and they would heavily theme the coaster. I could see them theming it to something like war of the worlds or Star Trek. I dont know if it would ever happen though. I just thought it was interesting. Coaster RZ's is right they wil only keep trains if they need the parts for them. I noticed last year the 3rd SOB train was sitting back under an awning up on supports and had certain parts stripped off of it.

I dont think you are correct scooby doo, i do belive paramount has the rights to wotw, some brouhgt up this question at the recent tour and jeff said the only reason universal has that display for war of the worlds set up right now is because they are open year round and KI was closed at the time they wanted to do it and that is why paramount didnt get it.

OK we really need to stop, this has been started elsewhere and arguing about it isnt gonna get us anywhere because its too biased here

In the next 15 years? Are you crazy!? SOB is the tallest, fastest, and only looping wooden rollercoaster in the world! KI is famous for its woodne rollercoasters. The Beast has survived for 25 years and will survive for many more. SOB is much younger and will last for a LONG time unless huge matinence problems happen and it becomes to costly to run. I was the one who suggested re-theming it to war of the worlds because it would be way more cost efficent with a lot of outer space theming already there as for what PKD4LIFE said about they were already chaning it to sound wave.........No one ever said that Saoundwave was DEFINENTLY happening!

I like that idea Firefall PKD, people need to learn to follow the rules.....too bad we cant tazer people for smoking in line or out of a designated area. Theres nothing I hate more than some white trash dude with no teeth, hair down to his ass, white tank top on, baggy jean shorts, and an Icp necklace, and a backwards nascar cap from 1982 waiting in line smoking. Do you think on the RCT3 expansion they will have cars like these because KI opened a ride like this? I remember after SOB opened you were able to have wooden looping coasters in RCT2

No! Ki already has taken too many liberties with the theming. Great job with the photo shop though but in real life i would not want to see a Mini Cooper on the ride that looks like a gangsta car from some rap video.
