  1. Diana do you still count Kings Mill log lfume as one that still exists? It was only renovated and had its name changed.
  2. ^^UDF was already in PKI but now that Graeter's is there I believe UDF is no more.
  3. Im not sure of the actual amount of deaths but if you read the timeline on this site it tells you about some of them. One person ("tower johnny") was killed when he jumped onto an elevator on the eifel tower while he was drunk, he was in a restricted area. Two people were electructed in one of the ponds trying to save some drunk guy who fell in and later that night a drunk woman was thrown from flight commander after she failed to strap herself in right. No one has ever died at Kings Island because of a ride malfunction but instead have died due to natural causes, diseases like heart conditions, or their own drunkedness. Last year one woman was found dead when her train returned to the station on Top Gun, she had, had a heart attack while riding. Here is a link to the timeline i spoke about: http://www.pkicentral.com/parkinfo/history/timeline.php
  4. Yes, PKD has FOF. But Kings Island installed FOF first and it was the first caoster to use LIM launch technology. PKD's opened a year later. PKD has a version of drop zone too as do all the other paramount parks but PKI has the worlds tallest gyro drop. Now to clear up any convusion; A gyro drop is a ride like our Drop Zone where there is no floor, you sit in a circular seating, and you spin going up. PKI has the worlds tallest of those. I dont know what PKD's is like but PC's only seats 16 people at a time and shoots you up then you fall back down and shoot upa gain and back down. That is a different type of drop ride. The one at PKD is a gyro drop too. The only difference is the carrier thing is a lil diferent and the coloring of the pole is different. Yes it is a Gyro Drop, but PKI's is the tallest.
  5. Im glad to see coney getting something like that thats perfect for younger kids who arent ready for something liek Drop Zone....way to go Coney!
  6. Yes disney does somewhat but due to security concerns the crowds are pushed back behind ropes and security personel are everywhere but sometimes the charecters come up to the corwod and wave, shake hands, give hi-fives, sign autographs and such. The only bad thing about the disney parade is that it is VERY VERY VERY VERY crowded.
  7. Yeah, Kings Islands shows have gone terribly down hill. I think School of Rock will definently be a winner. That was a great hit for paramount. I think if we eventually get Mission Impossible stunt show that would be pretty cool to see, the Indiana Jones stunt show was great down at MGM. The MI stunt show would be cool if you had actual Tom Cruise stunt doubles like how they have Harrison Fords actual stunt double performing down at MGM. I could see the MI show going in at the theatre behind the eifel tower.

  9. Yeah Six Flags is desperate, a lot of their parks are really going downhill.
  10. uhm.....scooby......while most men would like to see that....i dont think its family oriented
  11. Paramount needs to fight back with their own great spokesperson who can do something really cool. Any ideas people?
  12. I think they would probably theme it to Top Gun because it is better known. I dont think Sky Captain did that well at the box offices. The reason your legs stung off Face/Off is because you probably jumped right ot of the seat instead of getting off gradually. My frined showed me this on Drop Zone. He is a ride op at KI. If you let your legs be pushed up by the rushing air and you keep them sticking straight out then jump off the seat you will feel sharp pain through your heels and legs. I dont know what causes this but you get the same affect on Face Off. Just slide out of the seat carefully next time.
  13. ahh ok, thanks PKI punk. I really hate that show. Anyone got a picture from the opening credits where it shows collosus on the coast?
  14. Hahah i remember that pop up episode too, It is funny to see the bad edits. I remember the part when they told all the people to stay away from the brady bunch while they were filming and not to stare but yet during the episode you see so many people staring at them and forming a circle around them and that one kids keeps walking towards them.
  15. Thats what I thought it was too when I was browsing rcdb but I thought i remember the coaster on the show was on the coast of some body of water.
  16. While I am all for gay rights and I think this a great thing PKI does, this question comes to mind. PKI obviously lets groups who are willing to pay rent out the park for some time and have special days. Certain special interest groups like the gay and lesbian community of Cincinnati are allowed and that is fine. But what if they held a "Black family reunion" at PKI or an event celebrating the African American community at PKI. Im sure they park would let a group do this. But what if a group wanted to have a day celebrating "European decendants day" at PKI or a day celebrating the white community. Would this be considered racist jsut because they are the majority. I think that would be stupid.
  17. Ok, I hate the show Steb By Step. I hate its stupid theme song, and predictable plots. But, what is that darn coaster they show the family riding during the opening credits!? I searched Google and Tv tome and could come up with no answer. I even used RCDB to do a search for twin wooden coasters (from the looks of it it was a twin) and I looked at all the twin wooden coasters in the United States but could not find a pkicture that matched up with the one on full house. Im assuming it was in the US. Im pretty sure it was. Anyways, anyone know what stupid coaster that is? When I was searching google I found a message board where someone actually said it was The Racer before they moved it to Kings Island....idiot....
  18. If you go to Orlando I would reccomend hitting Universal over Disney (that is unless you have your kids with you) Universal has more coaster and thrill rides. Although Disney is great too, I went ofr the first time this year and its fantastic, they run their parks perfectly! They do such a good job! Although no matter where you go in Orlando be prepared to return with little in your wallet
  19. ^^ True but I dont know an FOF re-theme fo soundwave doesnt sound that cool. It would be all viacom sponsered artists and it would be whats considered "popular" music. So this probably means hip hop, pop, or some half assed sell out mainstream rock band. Remember the tagline ont he kI website "The best of hollywood entertainment now playing" and "Another holywood attraction comes to life at PKI!". A fof re-theme to star trek would be cool and inexpensive since its already in a building. Just add some more lights and effects. Although Im definently hoping for an Adams Family themed coaster!
  20. Borg Assimilator is a PC attraction but being that FOF is indoors it would be easy to re-theme it to the borg space ship from star trek. It would be very exciting too. I wouldnt count on soundwave coming to and Paramount Park. If they want to be family parks they will not associate with and MTV themed ride. Not after mtv planned the super bowl show where The Jane Jackson slip happened. MTV is not family oriented and just ask anyone who knows real music.....mtv sucks. MTV doesnt even play movie. And CM? IF your referring to CMT )country music televison) They wont do that. How exciting is a coaster put to country music? No offense to country listeners but thats not the music you put to a coaster, you put shredding guitar solos and powerful drums.
  21. IJST is going to have explosions and guns on it. Its based off a movie where they portray criminals and violence. I really seeing it getting bumbed up to a 4.
  22. I think if they re-theme FOF it will be to star trek, something iwth the boarg probably, because it already has some good space/futuristic theming in there. If Adams Family comes it is suspected that most likely it will be a vertical drop coaster. Remember reading about dropping straight out of the attic into the graveyard? A vertical drop would work perfect there. I could see KI do something record breaking and make a new type of vertical drop coaster.
  23. i hated it when SDATHC opended up and I waited forever for it, that may have the longest line, that ride always has a bad wait. It was good and its great for kids but Phantom Theatres effects were better. They shouldve kept some of the animatronics. Scooby doo is all like cardboard people jumping up. I guess I set my expectations too high after seeing the buzz lightyear ride.
  24. I think on opening day Delerium will have the longest lines just because its one of a kind around here (well with the exception of CP's maXair) and because its the newst ride considering IJST isnt open
