I am planning to be there on 3/25. The coaster looks really nice even though it has been rather cold in Charlotte. I have been seeing this coaster being built over the past year and getting really excited. BTW, Leviathan in 2012 at CW, Fury 325 in 2015 at Carowinds, ??? in 2016 or 2017 at ??? ? Where would that be if there is another Giga? MI Adventure? - Not likely Great America? - Not likely Knotts Berry Farm? - Long standing rumor for giga Valley Fair? - Possible Cedar Point? Already has one. Kings Island? - Possible What do you think?

Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom, SFGAd
Rustbucket replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Is this open yet? Another 15 feet from Drop of Doom. They need a little easier break than Drop of Doom on this. Eagerly waiting for this and Falcon's Fury. With a little luck, I will hit 10,000 on Drop Tower this year. I got a late start this year. 592 to go. -
Quick trip update Got on line for Goliath at SFGAm around 10 am. They gave out a ride ticket for the coaster. Mine was 182. The station was non-descriptive. The line was about 3 hours long by 10:30 am. Ride itself: a great envelop pushing wooden coater. I got on the last row. First drop was by far the best on any wooden coater. After the turn, the third hill air was almost as good as third Diamondback hill. The dive loop was quite intense. There was a camera on the last hill. One real downside was the length. It is way too short. I will rank this after Outlaw Run. More with picture later

I saw this from Drop Tower this morning. Smoke was rising up from the Launch area. Not quite sure where exactly.

Just 6 rides. Best seat so far has been 7 Right.

I need to try Banshee next week. My favorite two inverts are Talon and Apengeist followed by Montu, Afterburn and Silver Bullet. I am really looking forward to riding this. I got my 10 rides on Afterburn 2 weeks ago at Carowinds so that I am ready B&M for Inverts.

My last ride at Kings Island this season was Drop Tower. This has become a tradition for me. Drop Tower (Zone) has been the last KI ride for the past 11 years. Hopefully, I can visit some more parks later this year.

It looks more red than maroon or purple. Or magenta. Or boysenberry. Or violet. Or burgundy

Surf Dog is indeed a coaster. It is known as a power coaster. -
Couldn't agree more...I think the cars were and restraints were designed by a short woman...(no offense to short women). She really is not a short woman. You are right though. It was designed by a woman.

Gold Pass speed lane tickets also existed. Like someone said before, you had to get tickets in the mornings. They had specific time when you could ride them. -

The excitement is building. I spoke to Don and Greg to congratuale them. Waiting for Delirium and fog is making it look somewhat like Halloween Haunt.

Don's tweets have referenced DIVE, WING, FLY, BAT, COMB, APPLE, OWL, SCARECROW, and FABIO. Hmmmmm....

Length: 4,032 ft Height: 218 ft Drop: 214 ft Inversions: 7 Speed: 78.4 mph Duration: 2:20 Max Vertical Angle: 55.7° Except for inversion and the length, do these numbers look familiar?

Batman the Ride at SFStl and SFGAd have the longest queue line.

Wow you're right. Those who say CP is landlocked, look at Knott's! Yep. It is also very small park. You can take interesting photos of all of coaster tracks from parking lot. They are so close to each other.

What do you mean? How about Sierra Sidewinder and Pony Express?

I guess I need to add Busch Garden Tampa to my travel destination next year. I was talking to people about exactly this for years. Before saying inverted wing ride, how can you design this?
