Lets see. ThunderHead -> Awesome Tenesse Tornado -> Smooth Arrow MultiLooper Blazing Furry -> Very unique and fun attraction Mountain Sidewinder -> Nothing else like it in the world. Simply Amazing DareDevil Falls -> Tremendous next gen log flume MysterMine -> Looks simply amazing The shows are first class. The only place that ever equalled the shows at DollyWood was OpryLand. I honestly beleive the talent at DollyWood is better than Disney. The shoping is amazing. Anything you could want and very unique gifts, plus you have craftsmen valley. Where else can you see a blacksmith, glass blower, wagon maker and candle maker in one place? The food is first class as well. Anything from a sit down home style meal to their excelent funnel cakes with fresh strawberries and whipped topping. Next time at DW you must get one of these. DW is worth ever penny, dont forget the scenery is amazing and theres a pretty nice water park next door. -
Well experience some of the other attractions. They are really quite enjoyable. Also you do not know cold until you got out on the Cedar Point Penninsula in January or February. I was out on a 2 construction tours while they were building Millie and with the wind coming off the frozen lake it was so cold. Thank goodness they drive us back to the site because we would have never made it walking. Coldest I have ever been. Because of the cold is why Cedar Point closes earlier and opens latter than KI. Go to Halloweekends near the end of October and you will freeze if the temperature at night gets in the 50's because of the lake wind.

The Festhaus in recent years has not looked better than it did for WinterFest. Any change now would be great, because it needs some serious attention.

Fright by Night, Fun by Day

The description of WorkSite makes it sound like they have morphed part of WasteLand with it. With the nuclear fall out and everything. Also I brought this up earlier, but does anyone think that props from Cedar Points no longer used Toxic Tunnel of Terror could be used for the WorkSite. There were a lot of 50 gallong drums, work trucks, and construction props in the Toxic Tunnel of Terror. Just wondering since they are close in proximity and Cedar Fair is now in control. Sounds like fun -
Honestly I was for the slots long before they tied some of the earning to scholarships. Seriously look how many people living in SouthWest Ohio go to Argosy and BellTerra why not keep those dollars within Ohio? Makes sense especially with money going towards scholarships and so forth.

There looks to be very little there in the way of OTSR. Which will add to the comfort of the ride and you will not be cramped like FOF or SoB. Will provide a very open experience for guests. -
The ROI would be less complaints at guest relations, so the fine folks there could focus their time on more important issues. Seriously I imagine they get tired of the number of complaints received from SoB. Also by adding new trains and creating a smoother ride the park lessens the chance of frivalous law suits.
-
I could seriously see a change in trains coming by next year. Maybe something a little lighter, the current trains are so freaking heavy no matter what is done to the track the ride will always be rough. I mean seriously, giant plodding trains + flat steel rails = pain for most riders. I think we could see SOB hit its stride under Cedar Fair with some different improvements.

Yeah I dont think the kiddies would understand why SpongeBob decapitated Patrick and is chasing them with a ChainSaw. Might have some psychotherapy issues with that a few years down the road. Anyways nothing makes more sense to me than Nick characters with chainsaws chasing kids. I bet Nick would definately allow their charcters to be portrayed that way. Great idea...

Yeah but just because its a record breaker doesnt make it a good coaster. I like SOB, but a lot of folks hate it. Look at the records it breaks. How about rides like Raven, ThunderHead, Raptor, Titan? They don't break any records but I think you will agree they are all great rides. Honestly most record breakers don't keep their record for long and are only touted as record breakers because they are used to draw in the crowds. Hence my generic press release above. Seriously I dont care if a coaster breaks any records at all as long as it is a great ride. -

Look at this beautiful picture of Maverick Maverick Photo That drop looks great and the launch out of the tunnel over the lake looks amazing. This thing is going to be very photogenic -
How about Santa on a Rotisserie with Elves standing around. That would be cool yet demented. I think they transformation of the WinterFest props is going to be interesting and also pretty erie because we will probably recognize them from last years WinterFest. Definately sounds like a not to miss attraction with all the buzz its getting.
-
HauntGuy, you are correct. That was just another attempt by myself to slam Tim Burrton. I just don't like him as a director because his movies are just a little screwy and some what demented. Look at Johnny Depp in Charlie in the Chocolate Factory, something about him the whole movie was just a little creepy. Thats just me though. Anyways I am sad that WinterFest will probably never be back. Ohwell I will just stop complaining about it. HauntGuy I hope you are right and that Holiday Horror will be very scary. Anyone think they will make fake snow for it?

what is the new ride for next season?
RailRider replied to rollerocasterfreak's topic in Coming Attractions
I dont look for much next year. With the change from Paramount to Cedar Fair, I dont expect a huge new attraction. Look for lots of upkeep, painting, repairs and cleaning to be done in the offseasson. I know Cedar Fair said they would honor all of Paramounts capital expenditures for the off seasson, but they also axed WinterFest. Dont think we can count on anything for sure. -
Hmmm, I wonder how this scare zone is going to work, besides the fact they are using the WinterFest props. I just hope they dont ruin some of the nice props by throwing blood all over them, because I am still hoping that some day WinterFest will be brought back. This still kind of sounds Tim Burrtonish to me and I am not a fan of Tim Burrton. Seriously could you make The Bat suit with bigger nipples and cod piece. Then again I will hold judgement till I see it myself.

We could also say it has the most non records for a coaster that were released in the press release. They could have said its not the biggest, fastest or longest, but instead they went with all the record stuff that tried to dress it up more than needed. Kinda funny like how Maverick is claimed to be like the 4 longest coaster at CP, ohhhh nice record. Seriously, Voyage is a great ride and I am sure Maverick will be also, but I hate the press releases that try and make every coaster sound ground breaking, record breaking, never done before. Coming in 2007, (insert park name here) the worlds first (ajdective) coaster ever. With thrilling drops, twists, and turns. (insert park name) is proud to unleash (new coaster name) thrilling guests in 2007. The (new coaster name) will feature thrilling (insert adjective, noun, verb, pronoun, adjective, adjective, verb, pronoun, noun, adjective, verb, verb, adjective, in any order you like). Are you ready for (insert coaster name) coming in 2007. Hey look kids its a them park press release MadLib. Have fun filling it out. -
Neither did the one down by Vortex.

Wings needs to be changed and made in to a all you can eat buffet type resturant. Cedar Fair will hopefully make some big changes to the dinning options at KI. Just compare the offering at CP to those at KI.

^ ^ ^ Perfectly stated, especially about Coney Mall. The only way that TR:TR could fit in better with RiverTown is to transform that area in to some like Adventure Village or Adventure Trail. A theme like that would help tie TR:TR in with Beast, WWC and the train. Could have like Excavation sites, safari outposts, The Beast observation center and other things like that. -
^ ^ ^ I might even say it is a Eurofighter crossed between IJ:ST, but on Steroids, but it is colosest to the Eurofighter. Intamin builds higher quality coasters than Gerstlauer. Im not knocking Gerstlauer, but I think Intamin is one of the premier builders out there.

Well if you keep it small its just like having a halloween party. So just use your head, dont burn anything down, and dont kill anyone. Other than that have fun.
-
Ahhh the fire marshall could care less how many people you have in your basement in a homemade haunted house that doesn't meet code. They have more important things to worry about like razorblades in candy... Seriously keep it small and only for friends and family and your fine. Just dont start advertising this thing.

Yeah he definately has some serious head trauma which is still oozzing. Just one more reasson I love Maze of Maddness *cough* Asylum *cough* is for the massive amounts of blood, chainlink, mirrors, fog, strobes, and the great sound track for the haunt. We got so lost going through last year it was crazy. Funny you cannot walk through mirrors no matter how hard you try...
