  1. Terpy this question is directed at you and your legal knowledge. Theoretical "IF" IF KI and CF decide to remove SoB, because of the numerous issues and repairs made on the ride and since there was the infamous lawsuit against RCCA filed by Paramount regarding the structural deffects. Can CF look towards RCCA or even Stengel to receive costs or a recovery of costs for removal of the ride? Interested in how the legal system could work in favor of CF and KI removing the ride and not taking a bath in the investments they have made in it.
  2. Just a thought but if the $11 Million is for only the local impact, then the overall project cost is more likely to be in the $20 to $25 Million range. Factoring in the design and fabrication are done off site and that the cost of these things are easily equal to the site prep and actual construction cost of the project.
  3. I would rather drink the kool aid than see another coaster battle appear. Seriously whats the poin? Thank you DVO, now pass the kool aid
  4. Reading the article a few more times the project cost they are mentioning may only be for construction and site prep, which is what really affects the local economy. The cost of design, track fabrication and so forth do not effect the local economy. Usually tax breaks like the one Carowinds just received are only given for projects that affect the local economy so I wonder if the $11 Million is just the affect that the local economy will feel.
  5. Really nobody rides it anymore, that is only why over 450,000 guests rode it last year. Remember the line size for a ride is not a good indicator of popularity. You must account for many other things like ride capacity.
  6. Carowinds to build $11 Million ride... Hearld Online $11 Million seems low for B&M hyper, very interesting.
  7. The Big Dipper is an excelent ride. I think Camden Park would be more successful if they were a pay per ride park rather than a one price park. Then again that is a discussion for another topic and time. Also make sure you take a trip through the Haunted House
  8. Not sure if this will be the best of decisions for the park. The park is not in the best of areas and has done so well for so long without seasson passes. Why now?
  9. ^ The S&S restraints are amazing on Screaming Swings, I also found them to be great on Powder keg. Like you said Terpy very minimalist and they offer so much freedom. For 2010 the seasson after Diamondback and with the impending fate of SoB, I look for a new dinning experience and a show or two. Some general park improvements and not much else.
  10. Take your average crowd that visits say the Argosy, do you see them as being avid amusement park enthusiasts? I dont think so, many I am affraid would be unable to ride rides or even have the capability to manuver around a park during the summer months. I dont see the connection.
  11. The official site for Wildebeest http://www.holidayworld.com/rides/wildebeest
  12. The ride will be down for 2 months. http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_13040386?sou...;nclick_check=1
  13. I highly doubt a coaster painted Red is going to be called White Lightning. Then again I have seen stranger things.
  14. Im right there with you Beast1979, I expect standard B&M Hyper goodness and there is nothing wrong with that.
  15. Seems like a very uninspired release. Oddd, I would hope there is more to come.
  16. American, so you can really find anything you want.
  17. Please eat in the park at the Crown Colony for me. Get a nice seat by the windows that look out on the plain. Enjoy your trip.
  18. ^ Jeff Gordon is coming to Cedar Point very soon.
  19. And if you click on the link the URL is, http://www.whytelightning.com/ Very interesting.
  20. ^ The offseasson is always more enjoyable because of your graphic creations. Always something to make me laugh. Like so many have said the forums and threads get so far off topic because of stupid posts and the arguements break out. I ask all members to stay on topic and to ignore the moronic posts that are only there to bump post count or to divert the thread.
  21. The posting to watch your count go up is a general request for many of the users who are adding nothing. Also if you noticed I did not quote your post or anyone elses. Instead I am asking to keep the thread on topic and to stop this tangent, hence my explanation of your question and a refrence to the news story TylerRider was trying to coherently discuss. I think? Finaly why ask a question when something as absurdly posted about KI Take Legal action is posted. Comments like that should be ignored because they hold no water and there is no relevance. Like i said in my earlier post, sometimes the best option is to post nothing at all.
