^ Well I am still shocked over KD getting an Intamin Giga, so I think at this point anything could happen for Carowinds, although most and myself included think B&M Hyper and there is nothing wrong with that.
-
^ You obviously do, yet you continue to post in this thread. Im confussed

Why is this thread still open or even being posted in? http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...0&start=120, already discussed for 9 pages, go read it and make your posts there so we aren't having the same discussions over and over.

Funny but when I saw that picture I thought to myself that seems staged. Everything looked way too perfect the way it was all set up. I must agree, this seems like a leak to me and I think the posting on this site to start a topic specifically on Carowinds 2010 coaster since KD is getting the love is also interesting. Seems like this is all planned to leak on Carowinds Connection and also KIC all at the same time. I love a good conspiracy. On the ride itself, anyone think since the original was a weight drop launch looper, that the 2010 ride could be launched as well? I know the majority of rumors I have heard suggest B&M hyper, but what if. Plus I always like fueling the rumor mill, its fun and thats what they want us to do. Game on...

Cedar Point Employee Reported Missing...
RailRider replied to RailRider's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Yeah pretty sure they would have known if he got hit. Also seeing as how he was a busboy at one of the parks resturants so its not like he had access to areas you could get hit by a coaster. Seriously did you even put any thought in to that or did you just throw it out there? -
Seriously considering putting in an application for this. Can anyone who has worked haunt previously tell me what the typical hours are to work? Also is it just minimum wage or a little better because of the hours. Just curious. Thanks

Dollywood as others have said is not to be missed. A very unique park that offers an experience like non other. If you are in Gatlinburg a trip to Dollywood is a must. Amazing shows, awesome food, great rides, and the Craftsman Valley is top notch. Also while in Gatlinburg you may want to visit Ripleys Aquarium, awesome attraction and it seems much bigger than Newport. I would highly recomend taking a trip in to the Smokey Mountain National Park and even doing the Cades Cove auto tour. Awesome scenery. While in Gatlinburg I highly recomend eating at the Park Grill, it sits at the entrance to the National Park and the food is excelent with a very fitting great lodge atmosphere. Also Legends by Max on the strip has excelent Italian, and finaly the Peddler Steakhouse has amazing steaks. Also in Pigeon Forge there is great shopping at the numerous outlets, NASCAR Speedpark is an exclent place to have fun and has some awesome go carts. Also if you like wine, the Apple Barn Winery in Pigeon Forge / Sevierville is great. Just dont plan on doing much if you do a little wine tasting there. The Gatlinburg area is a great place to visit and I think you will be nicely surprised.

Former Hard Rock Park has a new name
RailRider replied to nhimes90's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
^ I would agree, because I would imagine that the park starts thining out between 4 and 5. Also something else to consider, consumers spending less money to enter will not feel as guilty leaving after only a few hours. There is a fine line when it comes to pricing and currently FMP is well bellow that line. -
Cedar Point Hotels
RailRider replied to flightoffear1996's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
If you are not worried about price then stay at the Breakers. Get a lake view or lake front room and you will not be dissapointed. Truly a historic gem and it just adds to the experience at Cedar Point, especially staying there during Haloweekends. Breakers Express is a great place to stay and is fairly affordable. Sand Castle Suits is quite nice as well, but if staying on the point, stay at the Breakers. Honestly I dont think the Cedar Point resorts can be beat, they are just a notch above everyone else in Sandusky. -

Once again thanks everyone for the kind words and glad you have enjoyed the pictures of Zoe. Amazing how much that little girls smile can brighten my day and how much of a boost taking her to SDC gave me. I am truly blessed and glad you have all enjoyed the pictures. -

Funny, yet $4.44 seems to be an appropriate admission price for what the park offers. -

The launch and upward helix on BLSC is greater than anything AE can offer.

I think the fact that Texas Giant will be shut down for roughly a year for retracking and other improvements should speak volumes. Yes SoB is rough as is Mean Streak, but neither can touch Texas Giant. The Magic Carpet section of trick track at the end is brutal. Yet if you are looking for a insane ride on an extremely rough woody, thank Texas Giant is the way to go.

4th of July Weekend at Silver Dollar City PTR
RailRider replied to RailRider's topic in Trip Reports
Yeah we had that option, but we were only in town for a few days and what time we had I didn't want to waste saying no, but I definately thought about it. Also Standbyme, SDC is really quite nice. Very similar to Dollywood in atmosphere and an excelent collection of rides, but smaller. I would recomend visitng SDC to anyone. -
And to think Tiques and Eagles use to sit in one of the nice quite areas of the park. Although I find BLSC to be enjoyable the theming and lack of upkeep is very sad. Thank you again Paramount, over promis, under deliver...

I had to add this as soon as I heard it yesterday. While at the local Mcdonalds for lunch I over heard 2 employees talking about Kings Island because one just got back from visiting. The one asked the name of the new coaster. She replied I didnt ride it, but its name is something snake. As the two stared at each other for a little bit, the one employee said, "I remember now, its Dragon Snake." The other employee quickly agreed and stated how much she wants to ride Dragon Snake and how cool the name is. At this point my food was ready and I politely stated that the ride name is Diamondback. They both looked at me and advised me I was wrong, I stared back in disbelief, shook my head and walked away. Seriously what is a "Dragon Snake."
