Hard Rock Park SOLD!
RailRider replied to CoastersRZ's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Will be a nice shot in the arm for the MB economy with the amount of jobs HRP is bringing in to the community. -
^ Very well put and I am glad I am not buying you Christmas presents either.

Flight Comander. Legs flipped over head when upside down. Glad it was removed.

I was just about to say...after doing CW and La Ronde last year I'm pretty much done with N. America (no desire for SFM as I really care more about rides than credits). With that said, there are whole big jungle gym's out there in Europe and Asia!! Although I'd probably opt for Asia first as I do have relatives who live in Japan. But Europe with all of its euro fighter goodness and Itamin's is darn tempting as well!! I look at most of Asia as a few good rides mixed with lots of Togo and Vekoma not-so-goodness.

Absolutely, I believe a company that likes to have fun will do well in this market also. Then again what else is new. -
Extreme Thrills Top The Stratosphere

But its not in Vegas nor is it over Memorial Day Weekend. Speed is around $10 I believe. $100 minimums on all table games as well. -
Extreme Thrills Top The Stratosphere
RailRider replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Unfortunately like everything else in Vegas the rides at the top are very pricey. I still can't believe I paid $20 to ride Manhattan Express. A togo never hurt me in more ways than that thing. -
And you got Dominator last year, which is a great coaster. I am also pretty sure that Cedar Fair had to pay for those trains on Volcano and that they weren't a charitable contribution from Intamin. If you dont want Americana I would gladly like to see it placed at KI. But hey KD hasn't received any attention from CF.

I have probably watched the video between 15-20 times now and I have a few observations. The back row rightside seat is my pick for what looks to be the best seat. The headchopper looks like it will be great at the bottom of the 2nd hill entering in to the 3rd. The pause after the second helix and before the drop in to the splashdown reminds me of the pause after the helix on BLSC. At these speeds over the tops of the hills, this could be an airtime monster. I think the trim before the MCBR does more than the MCBR.

RailRider replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Wow this topic exploded over the weekend... Not sure if anyone noticed but Don has posted some new photos on the Diamondback website that show the awesome decals and the water scoops on the back of the train. I think March came in like a lion this year, atleast thats what is sounds like at Kings Island -

Im glad to see they are staining the wood a darker color. Now it will match the siding on the bottom of the station and will fit much better with the other buildings in Rivertown. -

RailRider replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Im sure there will be decals on the trains. If you notice there are two raised areas on the top of the nose, I would imagine eye decals will be placed there. -

Sounds like testing will start early next week, just how it sounds to me. -

^ I agree there isn't a need for a huge que usually after opening seasson or on extremely heavy days. Also with 3 train opperation, Diamondback should have no problem keeping the que moving. -
Wow could there be any more work going on in Rivertown?
