I doubt CF would ever convert Boomerang Bay to its own park with separate admission, not only because it would be difficult to do (with the train and walking path), but also because they'd never be able to compete with The Beach at that point - The Beach is larger, has more attractions and a lot less concrete, among other things.

KENTUCKY KINGDOM CLOSED

According to RCDB, Iron Wolf is still operating, and it is a B&M stand-up. I'm not sure why you'd need two of them in the same park either. -
Yes they are. You can find them at the KI Pretzel Stand on I-Street near Festhaus.

Unfortunately if she can't be there I don't think you have an option. I remember reading somewhere that the passholder and the guest must purchase the ticket on the "bring a friend free" day.

The park really should get in touch with the National Carousel Organization as well... They have a preservation fund which is used for "grants for the preservation and restoration of operating carousels and for related projects". I have no idea what needs to be done to get access to those grants, but I'm sure they'd be willing to help. When I get a chance I'll email Don and see if they have any more info on the organ yet. I've been meaning to email him about why the 5@5 was abruptly stopped anyway...

It's not showing up there for me either. Looks like it's something Ryan or Dane will have to handle.

As per the Gold Pass VIP Benefits page on the KI website: Sunday-Friday: 1/2-hour ERT on DB and Beast Monday: 1/2-hour ERT in Planet Snoopy Wednesday: 1/2-hour ERT in Boomerang Bay Saturday: 1-hour ERT on DB and Beast I believe that the Planet Snoopy ERT also includes Boo Blasters (despite the park's insistence that it is not part of Planet Snoopy).

And for those who have no clue what "touchdown Jesus" has to do with this: http://www.journal-news.com/news/crime/jesus-statue-catches-fire-in-storm-762245.html

I also love Flight of Fear. The very back seat would be my favorite. The only part of that ride I don't like is the "foot crushing" experience that riding in the front row of the car on the load side. I realize this is due to the restraints having changed, but it's still not fun having your foot painfully wedged under the restraint, especially with a zip tie digging into your foot the entire way.

I think I saw that too. Ewww One time my sister and I saw a large woman walking around in those ultra-tight cotton shorts. As if that weren't enough, the shorts had "BOOTYLICIOUS" plastered across the backside, complete with a fake "kiss mark" in the middle...

GREAT AMERICA (CA): What now?

I think this sums up why the 49ers want to move... From the article that Terpy linked to above. -
I've been hearing about this on the radio lately but keep forgetting to post about it. More details available at http://www.akidagain.org/site/PageServer?pagename=kings_island_splash_10 Suggested donations are $75 to sponsor a child or $300 to sponsor an entire family, but any donation is welcome.

I entered the contest yesterday prior to the 4:30 Rock Band Live show, but apparently didn't win anything. I got a message about 4 hours later thanking me for entering and saying that I could reply with "KIPROMO" to receive updates and promotions via text (which I did, since I have unlimited messaging).

When I worked at KI back in 2005, a family of skunks took up residence underneath what is now Peanuts 500, in a hole near where the kids get on and off the ride. One night they decided to come out of their hole - while the ride was still in operation. Fortunately nobody got sprayed, but it was still funny to see a family of skunks in that area. A few weeks later, a trapper caught them and released them in the woods somewhere outside of the park.

I think it's just a marketing ploy to further remind guests that they can refill souvenir cups for $1.99 (thus encouraging more guests to purchase them). I saw those signs at several stands in the park yesterday.

It's too early to say what will happen to KK in the future. Also, for future reference, if you post a link with a comma in it, you need to put "url" tags around it like this: link goes here Otherwise the link gets cut off and you have to quote the message to get the entire link... -
Especially with the considerable amount of dust that now adorns said mirror...

That would explain why there are seat belts on Woodstock Express...
