Kentucky Kingdom
I love how the city councilman tries to turn the focus away from government red tape. Of course it had nothing to do with what the city and state were offering. It just "didn't fit the business model" that the Kochs wanted to operate under...

What`s next for Son of Beast?
Another fun rumor about this... A coworker told me tonight that Son of Beast will be torn down and that KI will be getting a new coaster in its place for 2015. I don't know where he heard that though.

Interesting Things Ride-Ops Do
Last night the lady doing the spiel on the train was talking about the Western town and mentioned that the funeral home's motto was "You stab 'em, we slab 'em". She then pointed out the jail, saying that it was "for the people doing the stabbing, as well as all the line jumpers at Kings Island".

Is Diamondback up and running?
There was some sort of a problem with DB again last night. My sister and I decided to ride the train before getting in line for DB (since we were planning on making DB our last ride of the night), and it was running several cycles of empty trains at the time. We got off the train around 9:30 or so. DB was still running empty trains, and they weren't letting people in the line, but there were still people in the queues and in the station. Shortly after 9:30 it reopened again with no apparent problems.

Different ques still standing?
If you look closely in The Vortex queue, you can still see a couple of areas from when the queue line went down under the station. As you come down the steps to the "landing" above the side track, you can see a set of stairs behind a gate, and another gate with nothing on the other side of it. I'm not sure when the queue was changed to its current format or why, though.

Guests Say The Darnest Things
Not actual guests saying things, but this past Friday when my sister and I were at the park, I saw a group of about 10 teenagers crammed into the Family Dryer. It was quite funny, especially considering that it was still 83 or 84 outside. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of it.

160 mph bumper cars... and they're street legal
Did some more searching on these... According to several sites (all of which have the exact same quote but no source), they're no longer street legal as of a couple years ago. Here's a slideshow of them from Flickr (a feature I didn't even know we had here!) http://www.flickr.com/photos/mr38/sets/72157622677941791/ The description from that set has the exact same quote from the DMV as well.

Diamondback Down for Week of June 4th
Diamondback did indeed reopen to the public sometime yesterday morning. The work that was done is near the last turnaround (right after they take your picture). Look to your left in that area and you'll see cleared dirt as well as fresh concrete.

Have you leveled-up in the Fun Perks Yet?
Still on level one after a 6th visit to the park (and another $9 purchase - this time a chesseburger basket at Jukebox Diner), but I've now unlocked a few more rewards and can choose from two rewards now instead of one. The additional rewards are 50% off Fast Lane, 15% off total food purchase, bring-a-friend for $9.99 or one free game play. My sister also got an instant reward for free cotton candy yesterday, though the cashier at Juke Box Diner wasn't quite sure what to do with the receipt at first (JBD takes the receipt that shows what you ordered and gives it to the folks in the kitchen so they know what to make, and crumples up the FunPerks one that prints off... The instant reward receipt almost met the same fate until the cashier looked at it more closely).

Riders stuck on Dorney Park roller coaster for 90 minutes
It should not have taken 90 minutes.

What Chili restaurant do you prefer?
You should probably add an "other" option since Dixie, Gold Star and Skyline are not the only chili parlors in town (and the poll would get quite lengthy if you added an option for every one). My favorite by far is Dixie. I first had it in 2009 when they were offering 80-cent coneys to celebrate their 80 years in business, and it's been my favorite ever since.

Have you leveled-up in the Fun Perks Yet?
Visited the park for the 5th time yesterday and spent another $10 (burrito + souvenir cup refill at the Burrito Shack). My visit has been counted, but nothing else has changed yet.

Riders stuck on Dorney Park roller coaster for 90 minutes
I'm wondering why it took the park 90 minutes to get them down.

Guests Say The Darnest Things
At White Water Canyon yesterday, a boat full of screaming teenage girls was coming by the water cannons. One of the guests who was soaking people on the ride said "If they scream, I'm going to get them!".

I feel like a noob...
Weekdays are better crowd-wise than weekends. My sister and I have been to the park each of the past 3 Wednesdays (because I'm always off on Wednesdays) and have both been able to ride everything we wanted to ride in the 10 hours the park was open (the park, prior to this week, was only open until 8 during the week). Last week it was noticeably more crowded than the previous week, but the lines were still pretty short.

Diamondback Down for Week of June 4th
Guess I'll be having another Surf Dog marathon during ERT again this week, assuming it's back up (it wasn't running this past Wednesday and my sister said it was down the previous Saturday as well).

Disney Scammers= free 4 year vacation
I hope a judge and/or Disney makes them pay back all those fraudulent charges they racked up. I'm assuming they'll also be banned from Disney World for life after that stunt.

Riding with a defibrilator?
I would recommend sticking to the "ultra tame" rides - Boo Blasters, Carousel, Sally's Sea Plane, Shake Rattle & Roll, WindSeeker, Woodstock's Whirly Birds and Zephyr. However, as others have suggested, it's best to get the advice of the folks in Guest Services as well.
