  1. They were not letting anyone wait for the front seat for Maverick when we were there, but I bet it is an awesome ride. I agree 100% about TTD, we waited a long time to ride the front seat and it was really worth the wait.
  2. Okay... I figured all of them except "RRRR". Which ride is that?
  3. A friend of mine ate at the Happy Days Diner a few weeks ago and she said that they got 4 hamburgers and fries with drinks and they spent around $60.00, and the food really wasn't that good. It always smells really good everytime I pass by but I don't think that it's worth $60.00!
  4. I wonder why it is taking so long to reopen our Drop Zone. I'm glad that they are inspecting it to make sure that it is safe, but I hope that this doesn't mean that there is a problem with it.
  5. I have seen numerous strollers going through security with diaper bags and snacks for little ones and they have never said one word to them about it. I don't think anyone would stop you from going through with formula and water for them. I bring a bottle of water with me almost every time I go and they have never stopped me or made me throw it away. I think maybe the person who made your husband throw his pop away was just having a bad day!
  6. We were at Cedar Point yesterday and we still had to go to Guest Services to get our passes scanned and arms stamped to get in. I think we actually got in quicker then alot of the people waiting outside getting their tickets.
  7. But you obviously know his ex-wife! Yeah..and neither one of them have a bit of talent...only a moron would waste money on their cd's And sad but true... some of us saw him and squealed like a 14 year old girl. No....I'm not proud.....
  8. Instead of being angry about this situation, I think that I would be happy that I am healthy and happy and able to lead a normal life. You do not know what their situation is. They could have very easily came and checked in 3 hours and 45 minutes prior and came back at the time the ride operators told them to, leaving them to wait the same amount of time you did, just not in the same way.
  9. I know that some of you have been to Carowinds, so I was wondering if any of you know of a nice but decent priced hotels near the park. I don't mind driving a few miles to the park, but since we have only been there 1 time I do not know the area very well. Any pointers will be appreciated. Thanks!
  10. As I was reading this, I know exactly how you felt because I had the very same experience. We rode it 3 times this year and I still felt that way when we got off of it. I love TTD, it is one of my favorite coasters.
  11. I hope that she has a good sense of humor or YOU may be in a wheel chair the next time you go!!
  12. We were at CP today and they were testing it all afternoon. We were very suprised to see it going. It looks really cool. I can't wait to ride it!
  13. I sent an e-mail to KI and asked about the Maxx Pass gold perks, such as parking, speed pass, meal deals and how will the parking attendants know if they are gold since the pass is red. Also, I asked if the perks for Maxx Pass will be going away at the end of May just like the regular passes. Here is their reply. "Thank you for your note. All Maxx passes are gold passes until the May 27, 2007 deadline. The toll booths and food area will be able to scan your passes and provide the appropriate perks therein. My understanding is that the speed lanes will function the same way. The attendant will just scan your card and let you pass. Please feel free to contact us with any further issues. Thank you for your time."
  14. If the regular gold pass is gold and then turning blue after May 27th and the Maxx pass is red and staying red (I assume), how will the employees know if the Maxx pass card holders are really gold passes after May 27th?
  15. When my kids said that when they rode it all of the lights were out and it was darker then they had remembered! I'm not sure what time they rode it but they must have changed something.
  16. I know that there is going to be a thousand trip reports for today and I agree that were lots of things that could be improved on, but I know that they will improve with time so I am not too worried about that. It’s opening weekend so everyone is still trying to get into their groove. I would like to point out that the management team was out in full force today which I have never seen before. We were at the opening of Larosa’s Pizza and Dick Kinzel sat right next to me. We saw him two other times throughout the park, once picking up trash to throw away, and again watching the first show of Hot Island Rhythms. It was really nice to see them taking such and interest in the park. It was fun walking around looking at all of the new things. I think it is going to be a great year!
  17. Does anyone know for sure if you can still get in the park on opening day with the temporary passes? If there is a really long line, we could come out at lunch and have them processed.
  18. I am not trying to doubt you, but has this been confirmed? The reason why I ask is that their alcohol related insurance premiums would have had to of gone up considerably just due to the plain fact that there will be more people consuming beer because they can walk around with it. It doesn't seem too far off to me. If I am remembering correctly, Cedar Point doesn't have restrictions for beer. There were people walking around the park and standing in line with beer.
  19. I remember driving with my parents down I-71 and being able to see the Eiffel Tower off in the distance and being so excited. My brother and I would scream "there it is!!!" and now my kids do the same thing. My brother was the first person to take me on The Beast because his best friend was too scared to ride it. We left him to ride The Enchanted Voyage with my mom. He was even too scared to ride The Beastie, and now his kids are too scared to ride the Fairly Odd Coaster. It’s funny how things tend to repeat themselves. The Beast back then still had water under it, and like someone else posted… a four hour line. It was worth every minute that we had to wait. I took a break from going for a few years and then ended up back there for my 17th birthday with my boyfriend. We had a great time riding all of the coasters together and I have a wonderful picture of me sitting on a bench with the Smurfs. We still go every year for my birthday. This year it is opening weekend, so we will be there with our kids and their best friend to ride all of the rides. We are all looking forward to it!!
  20. Has anyone heard if they have made a decision about early processing for season passes yet?
  21. The ABC Saturday Superstar Movie is not the same thing as the Banana Splits Saturday morning show. The ABC Saturday Superstar Movie ran from 1972 - 1974 http://www.imdb.com/List?endings=on&&a...,%20Ohio,%20USA
  22. I was driving home from work today and I passed a Semi with X flight track on it. It was very cool. It is going through Columbus now on I-71 and should be down your way in an hour or 2.
  23. They kind of did the same thing for Fearfest. They had tombstones with all of the names of rides from the past. If they were willing to put names on tombstones with the dates they were opened and closed they may not care about how many rides were taken out over the years.
  24. You guys know your coaster better then I do so I don’t even know if this would work, but, is it possible to use trains like Lightening racer from Hershey Park? That coaster was a great wooden coaster and it was very smooth.
