Splitting hairs again I see.

Also in a nutshell a person who sees the Hollywood exploited versions or Halloween houses themed to old asylums may especially when they become a consumer often in their twenties will fear treatment. Keep in mind their mental state and reasoning at the time.

RailRider like you say slippery slope many others feel that same way on the mental illness issue. Mental illness is a hard conversation to have because as a society as a whole we or ignorant in that subject and feel uncomfortable having that conversation. It is human nature for that but we are getting better and are better for it. Honestly I wonder if Mr. Ouimet was made aware of the issue and considering his professional background he influenced the change.

Jvgoble3 you really need to get away from the words choice and offended when talking about the mental illness issue. I promise I will explain it later on why they are concerned about these issues. You can do a search on NAMI andfind one of my old post about this same issue several years back and of course during the Halloween season. Be careful my friend Here is that link from 2006 http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8413&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1

Working now but I can help those who may not understand the mental health issue. I am sure the organization was NAMI and knowing a bit how the work they most likely never uttered the word offended. Reporters like to try and interpret to summerize in a few words. NAMI educates police officers, jailers, teachers, Heath care workers, families of the consumers ect.... In addition to that the try to educate Hollywood and entertainment companies how careless stereo typing mental illness puts a scary and bad stigma on the illness. I will explain that better later. NAMI does not go out on a crusade and demand changes and throw around words like offended, rather they get their message out through education and trust me when one educates theirself in the mental illness they normally would rather steer clear of creating a negative stereo typing of the issue including myself.

Sounds great to me. Topic now closed.

Good Morning. In the Coming Attractions section of KICentral there is a long running thread covering things about the upcoming haunt event at Kings Island to include discussion about Caretaker letter. That to thread can be found here called Halloween Haunt 2011 . The last couple pages of that thread discusses pretty much everything here so this topic is now closed.

1290 is really good. I think a lot has to do with which car and gun you get, I mean sometimes I would not share my score but other times with a good gun I may hit my personal best like my last trip. Look how big of a fan boy I am, I took a picture of my score to remember it.

Due to the Fast Lane implementation and ongoing testing they have workers controlling the point of entry of the various lines going into the station. Welcome to KICentral ericthekirider. Your topic is not unique as a similar topic is being discussed here and may help your further in understanding what is going on with what you are describing. Topic now closed

Wow standbyme I had no idea you would think making the list would be such an honor for you. You parents must so proud of you!!!! I tell you what since you are so excited and the fact you have properly and publicly thanked your parents I am going to share for the first time ever seen here on KICentral the "KICentral "The List" list". You may copy "The List" for a limited time and share it with who you wish. Congratulations I think

On my last trip to Kings Island after we finished the Coasting for Kids fundraiser IndyGuy4KI and I rode Boo Blaster and my score was 4,380

Cedar Pointer I do not get what you are saying as he said a few times in a few post that his actions was wrong and that the Security Dept apologized for the officers reaction. It seems that you are just saying the same thing he has already said.
-
You must have a short memory then. You posted in another thread "Wow" I deleted it. Now your are responding with two words which I left alone and notice that your signature is getting extra large so I wanted to make sure you are aware of the TOS . Cool
-
Titan you said you read this whole thread but you missed the point he was trying to make. As politely as I can I suggest you go back and reread his posts, I think you will be able to figure out your question to what point he was trying to make. Happy reading

OK I got this figured out and sharing it here in case those who have not figured it out will know how to link a page with a word or words. Type the word/words you want use to link to another page like Terms of Service. Highlight the word/words using you mouse then click on the "link: icon in the post box, another small window will open up and put your link in the proper box. Click OK and it should look like this Terms of Service . Good Luck everyone and I hope you all are enjoying and appreciating Danes hard work.

ajwinters - Could you read through the KICentral Terms of Service once more please. Particularly the parts about one word responses and signatures. Thank you

Well good....let them point out to us where Kings Island legitimately offers guests a way to break the park rules if they pay $50 or if they have money. I hope they do not try going with the class war war thing again as that is getting really old. One member here on KIC saved a few bucks from his pay check a couple weeks ago to try the Fast Lane for himself. I do not remember him saying he had lots of money or that he got to break park rules. So please tell us where and what rule is allowed to be broken for $50.00 or if one has money.
-
Can you show me anywhere that if you pay an extra $50 to Kings Island you get to break park rules.
-
So how many "Like This" does each members get per day or is unlimited?
-
Hmmmm sounds like this thread has just about run its course. We'll keep it open a little longer in case anyone else has anything to add/offer that has not be said already.
-
Don't worry about it XGatorHead 8904 I am sure no one really cared about you posting similar comments twice, here and 2 pages back. I think it was just an opportunity to take at swipe at me from my post in the Fast Lane thread. Note to self; put standbyme on "The List"

Ajwinters i hope you are enjoying KIC and the feedback you have received thus far. I encourage you to start using search to find many of the answers you have been asking by starting a new topic. We try to keep certain subjects going in similar threads so they are easy found when one has intrest to find more information on a subject. Basically one or two threads instead of 20 threads talking about the samething. You can always add thoughts to those existing threads if you have something of intrest to add to it. Thanks Avatar

On this issue I can all but guarantee you that the park does not or will not take our opinions on if we like Fast Lane or not. If you do not like it OK but saying it over and over and over will not have any impact on the decision that has already been made. They are in the infancy stage of a long running guest option. Kings Island is testing how best to implement, market and execute the Fast Lane program, maybe a different system, variety of attractions, price, hours of use or limit of use on a attraction will come into play for next year. They are testing this year . At this point I doubt they even care if we tried to make helpful constructive suggestions as the non supporters have made it clear over and over and over that they do not like it which is OK for discussion I guess but the rest who would have liked to give constructive feed back will be wasting their time giving it here in hopes the park sees it. So if you have a constructive suggestion and you would want it to be considered then I suggest you send that to the park directly.

Welcome to KICentral ajwinters. If the park is going to show a new toy or model of a new attraction they usually will share it when they make an announcement. Brian5475E I agree this topic does come up every so often but when I did a quick search I did not find anything fairly recent, so if you can find one from before the park opened this year please share the link with me. I think we can give the newbies a bit of a break when we could not find a recent one with a quick search ourselves. I agree about a note on that model in the shop but I believe KI would rather see interest in it. Oh don't forget to welcome the new member too.

Well thanks for sharing Monroe!!! Hey speaking of sharing I was able to talk with a Kings Island representative tonight and I asked when can the members expect to hear about the rumored August announcement for whats new for 2012. The response was; "Kings Island still has things to announce for this year to be excited about". I would not put any stock into the WLWT rumored announcement it seems they were told that those announcements are done typically in the Fall and they said August. It seems Kings Island officials are very excited about something for this year still so stay tuned!!!!!
