Entertainment News: Two New Shows for 2012 Announced
Avatar replied to Kirk Sheppard's topic in Kings Island
I have really enjoyed the level of entertainment that Kings Island has had over the past few years.especially when they brought in special event entertainment. I find myself these days when visiting Kings Island and taking in shows trying to catch the Snoopy Rocks on Ice show just to add variety to the mix. I do enjoy the song and dance routines of look back on music tributes but I would like to see a something different brought in to give more variety. In fact on my last two visit I brought this very subject up and said I would enjoy it if they bring in something like the "All Wheels Extreme" show from Cedar Point. I also wish they would add a adult comedy show for Haunt, I do like the Ghouls Gone Wild comedy with music but I mean comedy skits or stand up routine would be a great addition. If I got to decide with no concern to budget but just my wish list my list would be; Roaming Clown Band or something similar Few musical review shows in the Festhaus all wheels show in the international show place Live tropical house band playing at Boomerang Bay (really like this but it would be my first cut if necessary) Snoopy Ice Show Featured live show at Haunt to be moved to the theater so if it rains there is still something to do. Comedy show at Haunt Lastly to make up for the musical shows tie those in as a promotional events to entice season pass locals to come to the park more and to include those with meals. Such as many other parks who have brought in some old headliner bands. Like eat to the beat series or BBQ & Brew series. this would not have a lot of effect on the ride lines so much but get locals including further away locals to come and eat to listen to great music in a great atmosphere. This last one is what I desire the most. Again I am happy with what we have been getting but if I was asked for my wish list then you just read it. -
Cedar Pointer please refrain from lumping the whole KIC community in a negative accusation. Because a major majority of members enjoy and support the park even when things change. Some may not like it but understand the change while a FEW out of thousands complain at various levels of expression. I will always respect dissent when done so respectfully which I believe 99% of KICers do. Some get a bit over the top with their comments and very unfortunate they make degrading remarks about a employee or group of employees similar to what you just did in referring to KICers. To everyone else; There are sometimes when posts get edited or even moved due to their tone while others are left to stay put and unchanged, that is so that readers can put proper weight to those posters future posts. Again the number one complaint here on KIC is negative personal attacks or condescending posts. those post are about equally split between some who are constantly disgruntled with the park and those who attack those who speak their views on those matters. Honestly the vast majority of members as well as I see both equally negative and hurtful to the reputation of this site. Some of the members are extremely knowledgeable and are very well respected for the information or view they do share but either use a condescending tone in the post or end their post with a degrading insult to an individual or a group. I get asked why I support the park so much or why I let some degrade the park and other members with words in such a way as if I favor a position. I do have a position and often remind those who say those things to me That my position is and always be as an Administrator that KICentral is my first priority, then the park and members are equally prioritized and respected. One without the other or favored will be the demise of this site. We have been trying to tone it down a bit and most have helped by toning their post down but more is to be done and will be done. Is KICentral perfect?.. No and that is not our priority and focus right now but rather to provide a place for those who enjoy Kings Island to have a place to visit, express and share their options and ideas in a respectful way, while trying to provide a place for information of happenings at Kings Island.

Thanks Tanna, what you did was help a fellow member in need at no cost to us here. They are long time KI enthusiasts who found each other through park activities and both of them have switched jobs with some down time. So they have been working together so that when they share their vows with each other it will start with less stress. They are buying a home and forced to upgrade their car situation so if we can help them by winning a free photographer and photos for their wedding then we have done a wonderful thing in saving them some money to be used for other necessities. We here at KICentral do these type things on a case by case situation so we don't overdo them but also to make sure they are worth and legitimate causes. Knowing these two individuals as many here on KICentral do, they know this is a very ligament cause and one we all can be proud of in helping. I had my wife and daughter vote. -
RailRider phenomenal trip report so far!!!! I love California Grill and have always wanted to go back ever since I stepped foot out their door. So where are the food pictures? LOL Zoe is so adorable, Miss Rider really dressed her in in some great outfits for your trip. I used to worry I had Miss Rae in to many of my pictures for my reports but after seeing your report and if everyone else is like me I smile with every picture you share that has a picture of your beautiful princes Zoe. I enjoy sharing tips and tricks with anyone who cares to listen I just want everyone to enjoy their trip to the fullest and not be stressed during their trip. Now have said that you know as well as I that you planned this trip to fit your guys lifestyle and that I just gave you a few food for thought options, from what I have seen so far you did a marvelous job. I knew many of your dinning choices and now enjoying your reviews of them. Once you do Disney to include the table and signature dinning choices on most days it is hard to take a trip with out it. It turns the trip from a theme park trip to an relaxing family trip with a great casual but fun things to do. I love the hints and must admit so far I know/known them all but don't shout them out to not spoil it for everyone else, I just know what to look forward to next.

OK I voted!!! Very easy to follow instructions too. I encourage everyone who visit KICentral guest, members and KI employees to help Jack & Stalker out. They are both Kings Island enthusiast and have attend many KIC events including being part of the KIC team for Give Kids the World fundraiser. Now is the time to help such a great loving couple out, and it is free on our part. So do not wait go now and help them out! -
Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters Inc. - PTC just created a new Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Philadelphia-Toboggan-Coaster-Inc/113632142069127 Should be fun to watch them and see whats going on.

Carl didn't have the benefits that riders today enjoy with early ride times, being able to stay on for repeat rides and things of that nature. Carl probably would have finished with about 15,000 had The Beast had early ride times in the 80s. Carl worked night shift for the IRS. He would get to the park about 9:15am and ride until 3:00pm to 4:00pm, then go home for 4-5 hours sleep and head to work. On Saturdays he would ride from open to close.

Just a reminder I was not saying it was anything in particular but rather a suggestion that it may not be an obvious hint, then gave an example. ZOOMbabwe is considered the World's Largest Enclosed Waterslide. Just throwing it out there. http://www.holidaywo...rides/zoombabwe -

The lost record could be something very ambiguous in nature to what enthusiast would look for. Such as; oldest theme park without a steel roller coaster -
^^ honestly you need clarification on what he was saying. It would take less time typing to explain that to you but since you have marketing as part of your signature name, I suggest you go out and see what a customer is saying here. See for yourself what guest are getting fo their parking fee compared to others in the industry. Give basic service, then charge for basic service. That seems fair to me, but..... If you charge compable prices the give compable services.

If you don't mind I like to add to this side discussion. I can certainly understand the concern on the many up-charges that are creeping in at Kings Island and as well as other amusement/them parks. But I can also understand Kings Island introducing some extra pay attractions that would not be brought in otherwise due to the high numbers of season pass guest who visit. A park that has a lot of season pass holders does need to be creative in bringing in unique revenue sources. In the past we seen Kings Island bring in special entertainment to help in bringing guests.

I guess we all can rest easy now that Ouimet is in charge. -
How could you not know with all the hating on the park and members, unless you have not stopped by here in a while.

KI4evr Nice WindSeeker video. The music was a great pick and the angles of both day and night was picked well. Coastergeek101 - nice put together video. The park has asked us to remove POV from this site before as it is against the park rules to do one, therefore they ask we not allow them. The parks are afraid if we allow POV to be shown here then it would encourage others to tryout this type of activity, at the risk of guest safety.. At the end your video you give credit to the POV creator, I hope that they had permission from Kings Island to shot one and two that you have written permission to use the creators video. In addition if you want to share your videos here on KICentral please do not place your coaster site tags in such a way as to promote your site unless you have permission from us first.

Boy did I butcher that on too. I need to not post as much from the phone otherwise the you guys are going to take a cleaver to my phone the next time I visit Kings Island.

I believe the size of the avatar in question is the size the members uploaded and not being squashed. Unless Fire-Beast-OF FEAR says it is squashed then it is what he uploaded. This is from what I seen without going in his profile to look but will if he says it should be bigger, then my guess would be the program downsized a over sized picture to fit. P.S. please do not give the KIC members any suggestive ideas with your cleaver title,

You did good writing your first trip report I enjoyed it. Since it is your trip report you can write it they way you like, basically make it your style.

Dave congratulations and thanks for raising so much for such a worth while cause. I really enjoyed reading your report as i was very interested how the event went at other Cedar Fair parks. Sounds like you all had fun and the drink wristband was a nice touch.
