Yes they will since now they are convincing more and more families to stay on site for their whole trip, without the need to leave the Disney property, I mean they pick you up and drop you off at the airport at no charge to their guests. Disney is seeing major increases in it’s attendance figures. So I really think it’s just a matter of time for them to expand on both their California & Florida Parks.

Outside Water Park; Typhoon Lagoon Because you can snorkel, ride on three different water coaster slides, real sand sitting area’s and have a 6 foot wave crash over your head while taking a picture of it. Indoor Water Park; Bear Track Landing Hands down it is the best that I know of, mostly because of what Ryan/Italian Chef said.

Bill; how cool was that! And o by the way, I love your photo album. Your girls are really growing up fast. I’m glad to see you spend so much time with them and your love for them really shows through from the many pictures that you take of them. You know if you keep it up, you are going to win that father of the year award. I mean I don’t see many other fathers taking their daughters to Home Depot to build a Coaster Car.

Braves0511; I went to Disney with a group in my school days and still to this day I still tell about some of the funny stories that from that trip. I’m glad you got to go and it sounded like you had a great time, I’m from Indy too and was wondering what H.S. Band you play with? I really enjoyed reading your report as it allowed me to see Disney World again through an energetic teenager. I haft to admit though I was stunned when I read that you said some of the parks really didn’t have that much too offer. My family can never get any of the Disney parks done in just one day and we have never waited more than 10 minutes for any rides or attractions. Your typical teenage response, is the exact reason why Disney World should build that 5th rumored Thrill Them Park. Could you imagine how cool the theming and atmosphere would be at Disney high thrill amusement/theme park. Well any way glad you had such a great memorable time! Avatar

Nice pictures and update. I like the one that looks like your on the platform looking out the rides exit, that really gave me a the sensation of being on the ride looking out. Good job.

been away for a short while but can and will do what everybody wants to do.

I also feel that leaving the lights on through the off season was a kind gesture to do for GWL during it's grand opening. It adds to the guests experience when pulling up to the hotel or when looking out the window of the water park and seeing the tower all lit up. It also reminds those guests about KI, so maybe they start planning their summer visits to GWL to include KI too.

I agree about Great Wolfs Lodges theming and other amenities is pretty good, but as one who has stayed at both place on site, the GWL while does a good job it falls way short of amazing theming that Disney often produces. I love the GWL and will continue to stay there as they meet and exceed my expectations for lodging and for family time activities. I think because of the good job that GWL has done I think it would be a great choice for Disney to possibly expand upon. My earlier comment about the theming in the area was more slated towards the seasonal so called theme parks up here in the north. I would personally love to see a company like Disney or Busch Gardens come to the Midwest and show some of these so called Theme Parks what theming really is.

For those of us that would love great themming and would like to see it close by to set a new high level standard of themming in the area, lets cross our fingers this happens! Great Wolf Uncaged By Rick Aristotle Munarriz February 28, 2007

Your both close it's actually called "Lucas Oil Stadium". The owner of the company is from the Columbus, IN area and does a lot with Racing oil and of course domestics. We where all taken back by that name but knowing the history behind it, the name has kind of grown on us.

I was disappointed with Star Tours too. But like others have said, I think I liked MGM Studious the best too, but really I like all of the Disney Parks. Was Areosmith still rehearsing in the studio at the ride. Now I really liked it when they pulled us up to a staging area to see another short show before they blasted us off on the Rock n Roller Coaster. When we were at the Tower of Terror their was a family that wondered around that freaked me out. Talking about if some place is haunted, I would say that Hotel definitely gives that feeling with all it's theme. But truly my most favorite attraction at MGM is all the impromptu street shows they have going on all over the place. Did you see any of those? Just last week I was talking to Miss Rae about going back to Disney later in the year with my mother. So I asked her what she would like to do when we go back and she quickly named off several things then said but I don’t want you to see that Love me, Love me lady!!! I asked her why not? And she said because that lady said Love me, then she fell down, then you told her that you loved her and that made me sad, because I thought you were going to leave us. Oh…..the minds of six year olds and the funny ways they interpret events. Another great trip report thanks, looks like you guys got to do and see a lot while you where down there.

Nice report and I especially like the pictures you added. 70 degrees must have felt like 90 for us and just think we were all back here in a snow storm. Good planning.

Part 2 of the unofficial trip report Dinning; They were told to experience some of the unique over the top restaurants around the Orlando area. So they decided on Boston Lobster for dinner one evening. Unfortunately due to the wicked weather on the East Coast lately the price of lobster spiked and they were not able to purchase one of the advertised colossal lobsters. They were offered an alternative free dinner menu choice, called eat or be eaten. It offered you a chance that if you can catch it you eat it for free. PKI Vortex mother was losing a lot of weight from not eating a lot so far during the trip so she took matters into her own hands. Lets just say they ate well that evening and even offered another family to join them for dinner of the fresh catch of the day!

It does seem as if they were more worried about throwing up coaster back then just for the sake of having more coasters. I do take in delight that Cedar Fair went with maverick because of the length and theme, I hope that becomes the way parks look at new coasters on the horizons. I for one would rather wait in a longer line to enjoy a longer well themed attraction.

An unofficial trip report of PKI Vortex trip to Orlando on Vacation, submitted by Avatar. This is a travel log of PKI Vortex’s memorable events leading up to and while on vacation. Some may be unaware that PKI Vortex has been work and saving his money to take a trip to Orlando and to add some coasters to his Coaster count totals. Everything was going fine with the planning until he got to exhausted from working to much over time over the holidays and he collapsed in his room one night. His mother was so concerned about him being so exhausted and all alone on his trip that he agreed to take her with him. When they arrived in Orlando they checked into their motel and because PKI Vortex insisted to have his mother in a separate room the motel manager told him that because of his tight budget that they could not have two rooms but that they would work something out and find her a place to sleep and they did!! The motel also offered Bus transportation to all the area Parks, complete with aggressive panhandlers. PKI Vortex wanted to have to have a Disney Character breakfast but found it to be too expensive for his budget, so he was very thrilled when he learned that Universal Studios was offering a economical self service interactive character breakfast too!! They took in many of the shows and walked all around Universal Studios to take in all the sites. Now came the time for PKI Vortex to conjure up enough courage to ride the coasters that motivated him to save for his trip. Unfortunately after riding his second coaster he was so frightened that he did have an accident. They both continued on but after a lot of finger pointing from other guest they decided to leave for the day. PKI Vortex was so embarrassed and upset about his accident that he rode back to the motel drowning himself in pity. Well he ended up falling off the wagon and went into hiding! His mother was steaming mad. So the next morning they decided to tone things down a bit and decided to attend Sea World. As I understand it PKI Vortex was still shaken from his previous day coaster experience and that he still wanted to add some numbers to his coaster count, so he asked his mother to take another proof picture of him riding a new coaster. His mother was so embarrassed from him wildly screaming as he rode the Kiddy Samu coaster that she sneaked off . PKI Vortex was concerned for his mother so he went out on a park wide search to locate her, he told the dolphins to spread the word around about his lost mother. He even recruited a Sea Lion to help him look and call for his mother. Well sadly PKI Vortex was giving up when one of the sea creators told him that he should go to the Whale Show to get cheered up, Samu even tried to Inspire PKI Vortex by putting up a personal message for him to keep on believing that he could still find his mother. About half way through the show PKI Vortex spotted his mother on the other side of the aquarium and the two whales helped reunite the two, for a mother/son family hug! That was enough excitement for the day, so they returned back to the motel for the rest of the evening. His mother was not going to take anymore chances of him getting over exhausted, so she took preventive measures to make sure he got plenty of rest. The next morning they decided that they would like to be a little spontaneous and to go to MGM Studious for the last park to attend during their trip. After a quick count of money they decided that they would need to sit through a time share spill to receive some discounted tickets. They took the tour and as they were going in to hear the salesmen spill, the salesman warned them that he will not finish his presentation if they use their hands to shield some of his selling points. In fact he walked them by some attendees that where still trying to hold out on him. PKI Vortex did a great job shielding his senses from the sales spill without using his hands and was able to get out in record time of 90 minutes! So off to MGM Studios for their last park experience. The next day it was time to depart and they where very happy that the stayed close to Universal because Universal doesn’t bus you to the airport like Disney does. Universal sends the plane to pick you up, right on site. If I have inadvertently left out any pictures or events please fell free to add them to this Unofficial Trip Report.

Souvenirs!!!! Oh man you shouldn’t have I was only kidding when I said you need to bring us all back a souvenir. Let me guess “Park Maps!â€Â.

Looks like you got to experience several parks on your vacation. Sea World looked like it has changed a lot since I been there back in 1993. Looked like you got to hang out with the NASCAR guys (nice Coke outfit disguise). MGM must have been a last minute decision visit as you never mentioned that you were considering going there. I just love that park a lot! Did they still have the roaming street performers? Thanks for sharing your video with us.

We have visited The Beach Water Park a few times last year and could not resist the BOGO season passesfor next year. They offer some real fun family entertainment as in live bands, adult only late nights ,movie nights, dog days and many more. We will of course be going back to enjoy the low food prices and real tree shading for a relaxing day around the pools. Now a couple things The Beach needs to work on is their bathrooms/changing rooms. The next negative item pertains to their purchase of some used water slides. Last summer many of their attractions had horrible water pressure and a couple slides I wanted to get up and walk down, so IMHO I don’t think it maters how many water slides they offer if they are going to continue to operate with low water pressure. Because instead of reporting having problems going down a few slides I will be reporting that I was having trouble going down 6+ slides. While they are taking the time to install the new slides, hopefully they will get the Wave pool back to optimal running condition.

In the summer months the toboggan slides used for Holiday Feast are only used to be a true eye sore as they are ugly and sitting in plain view of near the wave pool.

Looks like they are adding more, where up to two, time to pop the corn.
