  1. If you noticed the thread asked what you wanted not what you think is good for the park. I think adding a Nick restuarant would be a good idea, but I wouldn't like that. It's just my opinion that I would rather have something that caters to adults.
  2. Inraider, it seems that you want a lot from PKI next year.LOL! I wouldn't want a Nickelodean sit-down restuarant because I would never eat there. A more adult themed sit-down restuarant would be awesome. I would like to seee Wings turned into a Tomb Raider restuarant. That would be nice since they are close together. A new area by FOF would be great too.
  3. I'd like to see an Intamin Giga coaster because we already have a hyper (SOB). It would have to be filled with airtime. It could also be the tallest and fastest gravity driven coater in the world. It would be nice too if PKI kept their good relationdhip with Huss and put in a Topple Tower. I know currently Huss doesn't make one but I think it would be awesome if PKI got a Giant Topple Tower! Still a regular Topple Tower would be great.
  4. Past Ride: King Cobra Major Flat: TR:TR Small Flat: Eagles Steel Coaster: FOF Wooden Coaster: SOB (Used to be The Beast but not anymore because of the new brakes) Water Ride: KCKC (Defunct) Payride: Slingshot Kiddie Ride: SDATHC (Since I never ride any other kiddie rides anymore)
  5. I only rode AE once this year. When I was riding I noticed somenew theming in the first tunnel that I haven't seen before. Maybe it was always there and I just never noticed it but it seemed new. I'm not really sure what exactly it was but I think it's new.
  6. No the park does not close because of school days. The park is still open but not to the public. Companies buy out the park for a whole day. Only the employees of that company can come to the park then.
  7. They cleaned up the puke first then made the woman sit in the seat.
  8. I was at the park today and while I was waiting in line for Delirium someone had thrown up on the ride. Luckily the ride was stopped and no one else was affected. After everyone was off the workers had to clean up the spot. It looked like they did a good job. Unfortunately they made a lady sit in the puke seat. She didn't seem to happy but she still rode. Now I'm thinking this will be a regular occurance, someone puking on the ride then waiting for the workers to clean it up. Then praying you're not the one who has to sit in the seat. Does anyone else think the same or what?
  9. Last year was horrible inside the hangar. I saw a whole bunch of garbage on top of the saucer that stayed there the whole year. Hopefully PKI wll do a better job this year. As for the blotches, I remember seeing the holes in the wall last year. I was hoping that they would patch them up and repaint it to their original scheme. I don't know how the the holes happened but I'm guessing that a couple of punks thought it was fun to punch in the walls. Hopefully PKI will fix this.
  10. Yeah I go to Elder too. I'm a freshman.
  11. Elder is out too. All Catholic private schools are out on Friday since it is a Catholic holiday. Also all Cincinnati public schools are off of school this whole week because of spring break.
  12. Well, I also went today and I was surprised that it wasn't crowded at all. I got to the park at about 11:30. The metal detectors were simple and easy to walk through. I had no problem with them. I decided to got to The Beast first. I arrive at a glorious sight... The Beast is a walk on and running 3 trains. The first drop didn't feel like anything with the excessive braking. It still was a great ride even with the slow drop. I actually got 2 straight rides on it without even getting out of my seat! Next ride was Vortex since TR:TR was not running. Vortex was also a walk on and still fun. After Vortex I was off to ride Spongebob. I wasn't expecting much from it since I do not watch Spongebob. What I got was a horrible ride and much disapointment. Half of the ride you are just sitting still and nothing is happening. 3D effects were hardly used. I don't know why this is in the Action F/X Theater because there is no action. This is definatly the worst ride that has been in the Theater. I won't pay another visit to this ride again. Next was FOF. Yea, no line in the UFO queue line! The front seat was a blast. I don't know if it was running faster or if it has just been a long time since I've ridden it, but it sure felt fast. Time for Drop Zone, only a 10 minute wait. This was my best ride of the day. Since it has been so long since I last rode it, it felt more like 10 seconds when I was dropping than the actual 2 seconds. I thought it would never end. I was so glad that I finally got to ride again. After Drop Zone it was Top Gun. I got to ride in the front seat of the new train. I noticed that the restraint has softer padding than the old one. The new train made the ride feel better. After all this it was time to go. I didn't get to ride SDATHC or Delirium because I didn't feel like waiting a long time when I already got to ride them on Media Day. It was 2:30 and I was glad that I got to ride so much in such little time. I would highly reccomend going to PKI early on a Sunday if you want the shortest rides on a weekend. I've been waiting all winter and it has finally come. Thank you PKI for a great day!
  13. I just got back from PKI today and I found out why SOB does not have new restraints yet. Right now PKI is installing the new restraints on one of the trains for SOB while they are still running the other on the ride. When the new restraints are installed on the first, they will run that train and install the others on the train that is running now. After that SOB will be back to having two trains running with the new restraints. This might sound confusing but just remember SOB will have new restraints soon.
  14. I got 3300 with no stoppage on Media Day. I'm sure I can get higher next time. I think it would help a lot more if you could see where you shot though.
  15. Well, I went to the park today and TR:TR still was not operating. Hopefully they get the problem fixed and it will be ready next weekend.
  16. While I was at the media preview I strolled along into sob's station to try to get a sneak peek at the new restraints. As teenageninja said before, they are the same. What I think is that they are not done with putting the new restraints in the other two trains. They only need the restraints for two trains since they only run two on the ride. Expect to see the new restraints soon.

    Delirium's Sign

I agree that the tornado logo would be a good addition. Right at the entrance is where I think would be a good place to put it.
  18. Go to the front gate and there will be someone there to help you. All you do is say your name and they will check you off the list. If you get there early there will probably be a big crowd of people.
  19. When I was at the video shoot last friday I got to see the sign. There is nothing great about it, it just looks beter than before.
  20. What's the point of this post?
  21. I was very impressed with the sign too. I love how you walk down the path from International Street to Action Zone and Delirium is straight ahead. Maybe they could put the logo or something like it at the actual entrance.
  22. I just saw this on another site! Enjoy. I just got off the phone with Jeffrey Siebert at PKI. It seems that will be needing extra riders for the double attraction media preview this Thursday, but, the park has asked that those that may want to attend need to be willing to "perform". I explain about that in a sec. Here is the deal. The park needs 60 riders to be at the park on Thursday. We will be able to attend both attractions of the media preview. The first part of the day we will be able to ride the amazing Scooby Doo and The Haunted Castle, the second part of the day will be for Delirium. The first 60 people that e-mail Kylee Bernado at Kylee.Bernardo@paramountparks.com by Wednesday at 4:30pm, will be admitted to the media preview! It should be a fun day for all, but please keep in mind that this isn't an ERT in any way or form and should not be consider such. Those folks that will be wearing apparel with park logos or graphics won't be allowed to attend the shoot. We need to meet at the front gate at 10:00am sharp!! Don't be late Now, here is why we will be performing. At 12:30pm, we are to meet at Delirium for a dress rehearsal, so to speak. Those 60 folks that are the first to e-mail Kylee will be given a pair of white underwear. "Oh oh. Why don't I like the sound of this?" No need to worry. You won't be asked to strip down and wear these pairs of underwear. However, we will be wearing them on the outside of our jeans or shorts. Yea, it might look a bit strange, but we are needed for this "stunt" so when Delirium is unveiled to the media, the presentation will have a uniqueness to it! We will be running around the ride, in our new underwear (with a nice Delirium logo and phrase printed on the "rear side") before boarding and being among the first this day to ride the new one-of-a-kind machine! If this sounds like something you would like to do, please act fast as this is a one of a kind opportunity to help Paramount's Kings Island and get rides on the new Delirium, and Scooby dark ride! ACT FAST!!! Spread the word as far as it will go! -Sean Flaharty
  23. The seats on Delirium are the exact same seats on TR:TR. The only difference is they have different colors. When I was at the video shoot it felt just like TR:TR.
  24. I like Action Zone better. Even though it may get crowded I still like it the best. Delirium will be a great addition to Action Zone that it was lacking before, a flat ride.
  25. I'm pretty sure PKI will let you bring two-way radios into the park. I saw a lot of people with them last year at PKI.
