  1. The announcement will come out this week. This is just my opinion, but I think that it would be really cool if the new water park was Cajun-themed and it was the location of Bubba-Gump Shrimp Shack. I don't see how PKI can make a credible Australian water theme park. I had Australian roommates when I lived in Japan and learned much about their culture. They love surfing and beer drinking - and are very friendly people. We'll have to wait and see what PKI shall unveil this week. Have a great day everyone. Sincerely, Italian Chef
  2. This week PKI will announce the details about its new water resort. Do you think it will include a hotel or not?
  3. Today I went to PKI with my friend Boddah and we lucked out because there was hardly anyone in the park. We go to ride FoF 3 times, The Beast twice, Adventure Express 4 times, Delirium once, SpongeBob 3D once, and TR:TR once. All that plus lunch at Mandarin Cuisine - and we left by 3 PM. While there we met Shadow and his younger brother too. Thanks to overcast - I had a great day at PKI. Go lousy weather! Sincerely, Italian Chef
  4. My favorite flat ride at PKI is Delirium. It's almost as good as a roller coaster. I love the rush I get on it. Being hurled high into the air while spinning is an awesome feeling. What's your favorite flat ride and why?
  5. Asking me to pick my favorite coaster is like asking me to pick my favorite wife. I love my wife first and foremost amongst all women and living beings. Well, I love The Beast first and foremost amongst all roller coasters. I love the duration of the ride, the quality of the ride, the hills, and the smell of the coaster, the woods, the scenery, the speed, and the adrenalin rush I get when I ride it. Sincerely, Italian Chef
  6. Weather permitting I will be at PKI this Monday with one of my friends.
  7. Ryan, Fusiondude, & STXBomber, I thank you all. I wanted to keep silent about my good news, but it's getting harder. I hope that my child will love PKI as much as I do. Sincerely, Italian Chef
  8. Ok, Chef. What is the mysterious "family situation" that is cutting your budget? God willing next year a baby will be born of mixed heritage. He /she will be half Italian and half Japanese. As a result of this development, Mrs. Chef can't ride any good rides until the latter part of next year (I hope). Sincerely, Italian Chef
  9. Hehehe, guess I'll be appreciating how young I look when I'm 30 years old. Chef, I'm actually 22 :-) Moving on, I thought they did a great job with the Delirium segment. They definitely had some interesting camera angles. Its nice to see PKI get some spotlight, very much deserved! - Todd Just a question, how did you get on the show? I've always wanted to be the guy that decribes the rides while riding it. I even practice it while riding FoF (ok, just to annoy my friends, but oh well...) "Ok, we are now getting ready for the launch... and here we GO! 55 MPH IN 4 SECONDS!!! And now we go into the COBRA ROLL! Two flips right in a row! We take a dive down to the ground then back up into another flip!" You get the idea... So once again, how did you get on it??? I read about the show in advance and e-mailed California that I am the author of THE UNOFFICIAL GUIDEBOOK TO PARAMOUNT'S KING ISLAND and pretty much begged them to interview me (which they did). Plus I mentioned that I am the former producer, star, script-writer, and director of HOME COOKING WITH CHARLES. How come no one asks me about my mysterious "family situation" that is cutting my budget???? Sincerely, Italian Chef
  10. Hey folks, I used to have a great friend who hung out at PKI with me, but she and I don't hang out anymore. Mrs. Chef likes to hang out with me at PKI if I beg her enough, but due to circumstances....she can't until next year. So.....I want to meet up with at least one PKIUnlimited person this weekend to ride Delrium, FoF, The Beast, and whatever else time allows. Anyone interested? Sincerely, Italian Chef
  11. Mr. Tanner, I thought that the Discovery Channel did an admirable job of displaying Delirium. Some featured speakers were Jeff Siebert (a deity on this web page), Todd Bills ( a well-known PKI fan), a ride engineer from PKI, and a beautiful young Asian-American lady. The footage of Delirium was great! So great that I will go to PKI this weekend to ride Delirium if the weather allows it and I find at least one person to hang out with. Have a groovy day! Italian Chef
  12. I just finished watching and recording the DISCOVERY channel program. They did a nice job with Delirium - but only briefly highlighted TR:TR. I was shocked by how young Todd Bills is because I thought that he was older. I can't wait for the TR:TR show to come out - mostly because I'll see myself. Whenever I see PKI on TV, I feel a sense of pride and joy. Due to recent changes in my "family" situation, I won't be able to afford to visit any theme park but PKI for a few years anyway. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  13. Mrs. G, I will make it to PKI at the time you plan to be there if I can. Mrs. Chef and I have both met DragonLord (George) and we fully agree with you that he is a nice young man - not a mean law enforcer at all. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  14. Unless I was misinformed this show will ONLY feature Delirium. The program which features TR:TR, in which I was interviewed as author, won't be out until later this year or even next year. Dang it! I should've switched to the Delirium program when I had a chance!
  15. I love PKI so much that I wrote a book about it. Nevertheless, I prefer not to make rude comments about Cedar Point or other parks - unless those parks are so lousy, they deserve criticism. Anyone ever been to Guntown Mountain in Cave City, Kentucky? If so, you'll know what I mean. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  16. Well one of my friends and I are planning to hang out at PKI this Sunday or Monday (most likely the latter). If anyone plans to be at PKI either day and wants to meet of PKIUnlimited folks, kindly pipe up. Sincerely, Italian Chef
  17. Pardon me Sir, but I'm somewhat confused by your statement. Are you agreeing with me that we ought to be gentler in our comments about the competition or endorsing the harsh rhetoric from the previous statements?
  18. Well I'm thinking and hoping to go to PKI this weekend, just in case any folks want to meet there. And I'm hoping that we can organize some kind of meeting for FearFest. Since I'm not the most charismatic nor best organized person in the world, I hope that someone will take charge. Sincerely, Italian Chef
  19. I hope that the employees and fans of Cedar Point didn't read the last few posts or they won't think we're nice people.
  20. If we are going to meet for FearFest, FoF will probably be closed. Hence the Fountain would make a better meeting spot. And if we simply meet on a Saturday or Sunday morning - we'd have more flexibility.
  21. Amen to that! When I first went to the Phantom Theater, I was amazed by how similar it was to Disney's Haunted Mansion. And I've been to the Haunted Mansion in Florida, California, and Tokyo. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  22. I suppose that we could make it next year. However, Ryan's idea of getting together for FearFest would be great. And I'd like to thank the two people who made laudatory statements about me. What do you all say we try to go to FearFest together the first weekend it's open? That's when attendance will probably be lightest? Sincerely, Italian Chef
  23. Tonight I had a grand idea. How about if us folks who post on PKIUnlimited.com actually meet at PKI soon? It would be like a school field trip. We can meet at a predetermined place and time early on a Saturday (or Sunday) morning and hang out together. We can ride the coasters and other attractions together, eat lunch together, learn more about the diverse folks that get on this site, and enjoy the park. Additionally, should we see each other face-to-face, the folks on this site might learn to respect each other more. It's easier to post a cruel statement about a person you never saw than a person you actually met - especially if that person seems nice. Should we meet together as a group Aaron and I might be able to arrange something special like meeting Jeff Siebert (who is highly esteemed on this site) in person or getting a group picture with Scooby Doo. I think that in either August or October we should do this. Let's act fast as time is running out. People please respond seriously and quickly on this one. Since Aaron is our young and fearless leader, I think that his statements will be of the utmost importance. Sincerely, Charles Infosino a.k.a. Italian Chef
  24. Phantom Theater was not scary for anyone old enough to participate on these forums. However, for small children under the age of 8, PT was potentially more scary than SCATHC.
  25. Scooby Doo is cute and fun. I appreciate the interactive qualities of the ride and the theming based on my favorite cartoon character. However, the lines are so long that I hardly get to ride it. The Phantom Theater was not cute at all. It was charming, sophisticated, and was remarkably similar to Disney's Haunted Mansion. Like many other folks on this site, I prefer PT's animatronics to SDATHC's cardboard cutouts - though Scooby Doo has animatronics as well. Since the lines were seldom long at PT, I rode it at least 3 times every time I visited PKI. Scooby Doo appeals to the child in me. However, PT appealed to me as an adult. Its story, theming, and design were quite debonair. Additionally, PT was a true dark ride and a real haunted house. In conclusion, I state that Phantom Theater was immensely better than its successor, Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle. Sincerely, Italian Chef
