  1. I think that Tazmania Typhoon will be GREAT fun and look forward to riding it. Hence, Mrs. Chef and I will need a baby sitter. Any volunteers? Have a great day! Italian Chef
  2. What if you were in a restaurant and saved the life on Viacom's CEO using the Heimlich maneuver - and he decided to reward you by giving you ownership of Kings Island. However....the following conditions would apply: 1. It would no longer be a Paramount park, so all ride names, characters, logos, SHOWS, etc. relating to Paramount, Nickelodeon, or any affiliation to Viacom must be changed. The season pass would no longer be accepted at other Paramount parks. 2. Hence, Paramount's Action Zone, Top Gun, Congo Falls, Face/Off, Wings Diner, and Bubba-Gump Shrimp Shack would have to have their names changed and be re-themed. 3. Nickelodeon Central would have to go. So, you would have to annex the territory into Hanna-Barbera Land and re-theme and re-name the rides after Hanna-Barbera. 4. You'd have to give up TR:TR to another Paramount park. 6. You had to retain the same staff at the park. __________________________________________ With all this in mind, how would you the new owner re-theme the rides, restaurants, areas, and shows that used to be be Viacom/Paramount/Nickelodeon themed? And, what changes would you make on your own since you would be the owner of the park? This imaginary scenario would be a great intellectual exercise for anyone of any age. Have a great day! 3. You are correct that my wife is very beautiful. However, I didn't step on her foot. She didn't go to the park with me because she's pregnant and is restricted from everything except for SCATHC, the Eiffel Tower, the Grand Carousel, and the Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad. So, I went with a friend today. However, when my wife feels better, we're probably going to take a visit to PKI and ride the only 4 attractions that she can handle together. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  4. I voted for Tazmanian Typhoon because to me it looks like a giant toilet. And I reckon it'll be a very fun attraction. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  5. The laser tag is in a room with small walls and areas for people to take cover. I don't recall any colors as the room was very dark and I accidentally stepped on the foot of a very beautiful lady on my team.
  6. I too noticed that the SCRAMBLER is missing today. However, I consulted with a park employee who told me that it was only removed to make room for one of FearFest's attraction's que line. Though SCRAMBLER will be missing for the rest of the season, it'll return in 2004. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  7. Lazer Tag was interesting. People were divided into 2 groups and shot at each other in a large dark room that had areas for people to hide. We were told not to run, fight, cuss, etc. I think that it was worth the $4 (but surely not $12) and recommend it. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  8. I noticed the missing Scrambler too today and thought that PKI was getting rid of it. However, a nice employee told me that it was only temporarily removed (for the rest of the season) for FearFest.
  9. I'm not old, I'm chronologically challenged with irratable bowel sydrome. :chef:
  10. First off, I'm surprised to be the very first person on this forum to post a trip report. Therefore, I've made history that no one will care about. Under normal circumstances I do not visit PKI or anywhere on a Sunday because I work Mondays and don't like to go to work tired. However since it was bring a friend free day and I'm such a nice person (sometimes), I brought a former associate who worked for my company in Japan. It was a very cold day! I had to wear my winter coat the whole time. I did manage to ride FoF twice, The Beast, TR:TR with hardly any waiting. Then on to Delirium - but I had to wait over 30 minutes! Then lunch. And the wind made my food at Bubba-Gump Shrimp Shack cold because I had to eat outside. After that I did Laser Tag, AE, and then went home. Four hours was enough for me. While I was driving home, it began to rain. I figure I made a good decision to leave when I did. I hope that the next time I go to PKI, it won't be so cold. Also, I will choose an indoor eatery so my food stays warm. Have a groovy day! Italian Chef :chef:

  12. I am quite confident that Boomerang Bay will be much better than WaterWorks was. We'll have to wait until next year to see what will happen. Here's a prediction of mine. Every 10 years the haunted attraction in H-B Land is changed - which is why it's now SDATHC. My prediction is that after 10 years passes and SDATHC is replaced by something else, H-B Land will disappear completely and be replaced by a larger Nickelodeon Central.
  13. We now know that Boomerang Bay is Australian. But unless they serve Fosters Beer...I call it fake. I love PKI, but let's be honest. Should not Festhuas serve German beer? Let's be authentic. On a positive note....Mandarin Cuisine is quite authentic. G'Day mate! Crocodile Italian Chef :chef:
  14. I really think that a PKI role playing game would greatly enhance this site. Since I'm sure there are many talented, young folks on this site...one of you may wish to embark upon this endeavor. I'd love to, but between my full-time job, my enhanced house chore-load and baby preparations (as my wife is expecting), my writings, my volunteer marketing activities for my favorite restaurant, visiting PKI, and so on......I'm too busy. Sorry. So, any young thinkers have any groovy ideas for a PKI role playing game??? Sincerely, Italian Chef :chef:
  15. I'll be there tomorrow with one of my friends who used to work for the same company I worked for in Japan and even graduated from my university. I reckon it'll be packed, so as usual, I plan to get there early and leave early. Next year will be tough for me in terms of visiting PKI. I'll never be able to spend more than 5 hours in a given day because my wife and child will be waiting for me at home. Nevertheless, I can't wait to become a pop! Have a groovy day! Italian Chef
  16. The world we live in is not a very peaceful place. Nations fight over ethnicty, religion, ideology, territory, military superiority, natural resources, political advantage, and financial gain. In some parts of the world, cousins fight cousins because they are different sects of the same religion. It is sad. Paramount's Kings Island is a place that I visit to find peace and joy. Several PKI fan pages exist so that PKI fans can peacefully communicate with one another - and that is great! However, at times some folks from one fan page might do something that may unintentionally vex people from a different fan page. That diminihses the peace, joy, and sense of community. Without getting specific, naming names, or making accusations, I make one plea. Can't we all just along? If we all love PKI, whether we are from one webpage or another, one state or another, one ethnicity or another, one religion or another, one political affiliation or another, and so on...can't we just respect and appreciate each other? I just hope that we can all communicate in a peaceful, civilized manner. And I apologize for any actions/comments I ever made that did not contribute to the fostering of a pan-PKI fan community. Starting today, I shall do all I promote good feelings amongst PKI fans. Sincerely, Charles aka Italian Chef

  18. Since PKI has limited resources, I think park management would rather spend money on a new attraction to draw more people in than on upgrading an existing attraction. Then again....I could be wrong. Have a groovy day! Italian Chef :chef:
  19. Wow! I missed it because I was still living in New York and hasn't even heard of PKI yet. I thought that Graveyard Shift was as close to a Disney/Universal Studios as I've ever seen at PKI.
  20. My first choice would be to bring back Graveyard Shift. However, a PKI circus would be my second choice. A circus would be a grand idea. PKI doesn't have the budget for Cirque de Solei...but they could make a small, traditional circus. A ringmaster, some clows, a few midgets, a strong man, a daredevil, some acrobats, and some animals would be cool. Hey - here's an idea. If you were to participate in a PKI circus, what role would you want? I would chose to be a clown since I'm always "clowning around" on these forums with my jokes. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  21. True but I'd rather hear "Yabba dabba doo" than "I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm ready." SpongeBob is a Nickelodeon wimp and even Hanna-Barbera lightweight Snagglepus can tan his porous hide.
  22. I am 31 years old, but mid-aged where I work and younger than my wife, so I don't feel old in my daily life. However, sometimes on these unofficial PKi sites I feel like an old fart and don't even eat prunes! I'm curious to the age groups of the various people on this site. I hope that I'm not the oldest here. Have a groovy day and speak up because my hearing aid wasn't turned on. Think I'll hang out with Zsa Zas Gabor, Joan Collins, Bridgette Bardot, and Mermaid Man & Barnicle Boy. Senior Citizen Italian Chef :chef: PS - I do NOT use Depends (yet).
  23. So far these forums are proceeding smoothly. I have yet to witness any major catastrophies. However, I am waiting for a moderator to close someone's topic and state: "Four score and seven years ago this topic was discussed. Hence, we cannot have a separate thread for it as an unofficial PKI fan page divided amongst itself cannot stand. In the interest of preserving the union, we must close this thread." Those of you who are history buffs like me can appreciate the humor in that. Have a like totally groovy day! Italian Chef :chef:

  25. Why can't you eat meat anymore? I feel very sorry for you. Do you have IBS or a similar condition? I am the king of bad stomachs. In my life I've suffered from colitis in Europe, ecoli food poisoning in Asia (and lost 30 lbs), and developed IBS in the Kentucky. Hence, I must limit my meat and dairy product intake, seldom touch beer, must eat before 7 PM, and take metamucil. I can never eat until I'm full, have to skip breakfast, and can't digest most of the rich dishes that I cook for my wife and friends. I do hope that your health condition, whatever it is, will improve. No hard feelings about our past disagreements. Have a great day! your favorite Italian-American author & EFT specialist with a Japanese wife, Italian Chef :chef:
