  1. I think that Dane should be The Chairman and DAN SHOULD BE THE PRESIDENT.
  2. I would like a nice, smooth, indoor coaster that is themed after the Phantom Theater and features it characters and music. Italian Chef
  3. I said it before and I'll say it again. As a pass holder I'd rather pay $20 to get into FearFest and experience short lines than get free admission as a pass holder and wait and wait and wait and wait somemore with my bladder ready to explode on the long, long lines. Italian Chef
  4. I hope that Mr. Zellner will provide Boomerang Bay with some Australian flare in the cuisine.
  5. I found Ryan's article to be intellectually stimulating and a sad sign of the times. His article is not just relevant to the theme park industry, but American (and worldwide) business in general. Small family friendly theme parks, retailers, pharmacies, grocery stores, and even restaurants can't compete with the financial might of large corporations such as Disney, Paramount, Wal-Mart, Pizza Hut, Kraft, etc. I love PKI more than any place on Earth. However, I must say that some of its cost-cutting decisions have reduced my happiness at the park - specifically the elimination of Hanna-Barbera characters walking around the park. The only H-B character left is Scooby Doo and he is now stationary. Additonally, the Scooby Doo shows, which I greatly enjoyed, are gone. The decision to scale back the Hanna-Barbera presence in the park is, in my opinion to save money as well as because H-B characters are not very well known by the current generation of rugrats. And it PKI's defense, they have invested heavily in other areas, such as the new food service and the upcoming Boomerang Bay. Yes one must wonder, if PKI were a small park, would it maintain the walking H-B characters to appease folks like me who grew up with them? In conclusion, I think that Ryan's article was very well-written and makes one stop and analyze the changing amusement park industry in The United States. Good job Ryan! 6. I can't wait to see the show either because I was interviewed on The Travel Channel. Those of us who participated in the show spent several hours at TR:TR. Boddah and I met that day for the first time and agreed that after that day was over neither of us wanted to ride TR:TR for at least one month. Since then, I've only ridden TR:TR 2 or 3 times this year. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  7. It was nice to finally meet Mrs. G - and I'm sorry we couldn't talk more. It's also too bad that Mrs. Chef couldn't hang out with us. I'll e-mail my pic to Dane soon. Again, it was great to meet everyone. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  8. At 31 years young I scream - and like an immature kid. I yell things like "I love fat women (which I do), "I'm a stud", "bonzai", "Godzilla", and "oh yeah". Screaming helps the adrenilin rush. Have a groovy day! Italian Chef :chef:
  9. My wife needs the car tomorrow...so I won't be able to go. Sorry.
  10. Sorry about that. Lately I haven't been a fortress of luck.
  11. I was able to download it successfully. Thank you SOBRider. You're my hero! So far I'm not a great player, but the game is mega-cool. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  12. What should Dane's title be? If anyone has any ideas other than what is above...please share your ideas. Sincerely, Italian Chef :chef:
  13. I think that Dane should not be called "fearless leader" as that is Aaron's title. We should come up with a different title for Dane. Perhaps we should start a poll. I'll do that. Sincerely, Italian Chef :chef:
  14. in the movie "Kangaroo Jack", they had a scene in a bar in Australia, and one of the bar taps said "Fosters" on it! Thank you for your insight! I realize that some people disagree about the beer. And I repeat that I seldom (less than 5 times a year) drink beer. However, for a park to be authentic Auzzie, it'd have to serve beer and Auzzie beer at that. The Australian diet isn't all that different from the American diet. They eat meat , potatoes, pasta, etc. However, they also eat buffalo burgers, vegemite, and some people even eat kangaroo! I'm not an expert on Australian cuisine...but lived and worked with Auzzie folks in Japan. Generally speaking, they are warm-hearted people and HEAVY beer drinkers. Whenever I drank with Auzzies and Japanese together....I outdrank the Japanese and the Auzzie WAY WAY WAY outdrank me. Good day mate! Crocodile Italian Chef :chef:
  15. Mrs. G, It was great to meet you today. It's funny how all of us non-teenagers didn't want to ride Drop Zone. Hence, I can say that we older people because are very young at heart. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  16. Hey all, Though I had to leave early, I had it a great time. It was a pleasure to meet all of you and I hope that next time, I don't have to cut my visit short. On a side note, I'd like to commend Mrs. G and Danielrad'sgirl's father on their parenting skills. I was most impressed to see them interact with their children and hope that I'll be as a good a parent as they are. Again, I liked meeting each and every one of you and hope that we can all hang out at PKI and perhaps some of us at the Thai restaurant sometime. Have a great day! Italian Chef aka Charles :chef:
  17. I might be there Sunday. It depends how tired I am after Saturyday.
  18. I MIGHT be there on Sunday. The later I stay at PKI on Saturday...the less likely I'll return on Sunday. The earlier I stay at PKI tomorrow...the more likely I'll return on Sunday. Feel free to e-mail me if you want: homecookingwithcharles@yahoo.com Have a groovy day! Italian Chef
  19. Thank you for your offer of help. I will attempt to download it and post my results. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  20. Hey, I'm glad that I'm not the only person over age 30 on this site. Otherwise, people might think I'm an immature chef with a child's heart. Mrs. Chef doesn't think so, she knows it! Be groovy! Italian Chef :chef:
  21. Mrs. G, Actually we don't really disagree. I think there should be one authentic Australian eatery for the adventurous that'll serve up things like vegemite and buffalo burgers. Additionally, there should be an all-American eatery with Auzzie names, such as Tazmanian pizza, Outback burgers, kangaroo fries, etc. As far as beer is concerned, I seldom drink it as I am a red wine drinker. However, I realize that many of PKI's guests demand beer and since they do, Foster's or another beer would be most appropriate. Additionally, I lived and worked with Australians in Japan and learned how important beer is to their culture. So, as you see...we don't really disagree. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  22. Since I don't know what most of you look like - and everyone can identify me by my picture....if you see me and Mrs. Chef tomorrow morning, please flag us. A 5'5 skinny Italian guy and his Japanese wife shouldn't be too hard to spot. See you tomorrow folks! Sincerely, Italian Chef :chef:
  23. Can I download winzip for free off the Internet or do I have to purchase it?
  24. I plan to be there on Saturday. I reckon that most people will know what I look like from my picture on this homepage....especially people who bought my book. Nametags would be helpful...but who has time to buy them? I am greatly looking forward to PKIC Day. My wife is bringing her digital camera for our "group photo" shot. And if it's okay with Dan and Dane....I'd like to write a story about our experience that day. I hope to remember my tape recorder. It'll be great to meet some of the nice people on these forums in person. Though Mrs. G and I will probably be the two oldest folks at the event....we're both like totally mega-cool. I'll see you all (who'll be there) on Saturday. Have a great Friday! Italian Chef :chef:
  25. HHHEEELLLLLLPPPPP!!!!!!!! Tonight I tried to download the Jeffrey Siebert game 2 times - and both times it took over 1 hour. The first time it saved as an un-readable (wierd symbols) word document. So then I tried to download it on my DESKTOP - and once again...it's an un-readable word document. Please tell me where I'm going wrong. How do I download the game and where? I really want to play the game but can't access it. Sincerely, Italian Chef
