  1. It is quite obvious that Phantom Theater was at very least, somewhat inspired by Disney's Haunted Mansion. However, it isn't fair to expect PKI to match Disney in special effects as PKI doesn't have Disney's deep pockets. SDATHC is cute and fun.......but I'd trade it and the rest of H-B Land to have my beloved Phantom Theater back. And I am serious. Have a grandious weekend! Italian Chef
  2. Quite frankly, I think this site is most commendable. In the venacular of the more youthful members of this esteemed site...this page rocks dude! Sincerely, Italian Chef :chef:
  3. I wish that I could've rode it!
  4. You'd think I of all people would get every mailing. I guess not.
  5. Fusiondude is a brilliant young man and would great a great moderator/cotributor to this site. I hope in the future Fusiondude and I can write an off-topic post about Lotte World.
  6. I hope that my child will love PKI as much as I do. I intend to raise my child at Hanna-Barbera Land, then Nickelodeon Central, and then the other parts of the park as he/she gets older. Have a super-groovy weekend! Italian Chef :chef:
  7. Fusiondude, If you ever want to try authentic Korean, Thai, or other food...Mrs. Chef and I can recommend great restaurants to you in Northern Kentucky. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  8. I didn't get anything in the mail from PKI this week. Maybe tomorrow.
  9. We'll have to wait and see how fancy Boomerang bay will be. I hope that it'll be as great as we expect it to be. I'm really curious to the cuisine. Will they have Australian food such as vegemite and Buffalo burgers? I doubt it. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  10. Dan & Dane, I will be there that Day. Mrs. Chef will drive me there, but has to go home. However, she agreed to pose in a group PKIC Day photo, which would look good because she is a very beautiful woman. Having her in our picture would make PKIC look cooler. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  11. When Paramount bought Kings Island, it was owned by American Financial Corporation and managed by KECO. From what I heard they didn't do as well as Taft or Paramount. Assuming that American Financial Corporation would've sold it to someone other than Paramount...I'd say that it wouldn't been private investors or Six Flags. Regardless of whom bought it...I'd say we'd see the following: 1. The Lion Country Safari would be there. Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey operates a similar wild animal safari and would know how to manage KI's. Additionally private investors probably would've kept it because it was popular. 2. No Paramount's Action Zone, Top Gun, TR:TR, Face/Off, Wings Diner, Bubba Gump Shrimp Shack, Paramount Story, Nickelodeon Central, Nickelodeon characters, no Rugrats Runaway Reptar, no Nickelodeon show or Nickelodeon character breakfast, no Wild Thornberry's River Adventure, and the new Boomerang Bay wouldn't come to existence because it's Paramount corporate wide. 3. Congo Falls would still be Amazon Falls. Drop Zone and Days of Thunder would probably be there....but with different names. 4. All the Hanna-Barbera characters would still roam the park. And if Six Flags owned KI...so would Looney Toons as both are owned by Warner. That's all I can think about for today. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  12. I called Mr. Siebert yesterday and asked us if he could meet our group very briefly on 10/11 for PKIC Day. He said that had he known sooner about our planned day, he would've tried to be at PKI that day. Unfortunately, he has a previous engagement. I was hoping to get a PKI celebrity for a group photo, but I can't . Sorry folks. Maybe I can ask Mrs. Chef (my wife) to take a group photo with us. We ought to have fun anyway even without a celebrity. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  13. Mrs. G, Once again your writing has brought a smile to my face. You are indeed clever and funny. I hope that you'll make it to the PKIC Day at PKI on 10/11. I will be there and look forward to meeting many people. On a side note, I'm glad that you appreciate my portrayal of The Maestro. Have a groovy day! Italian Chef :chef:
  14. I feel sorry for the PKI employees who have to work outside in the cold weather. I remember seeing a very attractive lady dressed up in a semi-skimpy Egyptian outfit for FeaFest 3 years back and feeling sorry for her. Additionally, I tend to pity folks who have to work outdoors in the cold or rain. There was a time in my life that I was too poor to afford heat - and I froze and was miserable. That includes life in Japan (the winter) as well as the USA. I wish PKI could put a weather controlled dome over itself when the weather gets bad. Take care! Italian Chef
  15. I think that 10/11 is better than 11/2 because: 1. It'll likely be less cold. 2. It'll likely be less crowded because on 11/2 all people who bought 2004 season passes have a free ticket to bring a friend. Sincerely, Italian Chef :chef:
  16. It reminded you of Amadeus? That's ironic because I was inspired by Phantom of the Opera. Nevertheless, I appreciate the positive comments you made. I don't see you as a writing competitor as I didn't write the story for profit....but a potential writing partner. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  17. Forgive me for asking, but what do you think about my Phantom Theater story? Does it remind you of any famous musicals or movies? I hope that you all like it. Sincerely, Italian Chef :chef:
  18. I've gotten several PMs asking me about an official/unofficial PKIU day. However, that depends on Aaron as he is the boss. If and when Aaron can meet us at PKI....I'm there dude! If not, we may have to wait until next year. If anyone has any ideas....kindly speak up. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  19. Can you drive me home?
  20. Please remind me again. I might make it - especially if I have someone to drive me home as I HATE driving in the dark. It's a result of my elderly age. Have a groovy day! Italian Chef :chef:
  21. I was at PKI today and didn't see a robo-coaster. Hence...it's Gone with the Wind. :cowboy:
  22. :offtopic: Hey, I'm lucky that Mrs. Chef is pregnant instead of me. I couldn't give up drinking red wine for 9 days....let alone 9 months. And 9 months without roller coaster AND without wine...I'd go nuts!!!! :offtopic: Hence, I'm grateful that my wife will bear my child and I, as a man, can't bear children. I know that it sounds rude and greedy...but I really love PKI thrill rides and wine and would suffer terribly if I had to give them up for almost a year. :offtopic: Hence, though she's not reading this, I would like to express my love and appreciation for my wife Mrs. Chef. Additionally, she is the person who took me to PKI for the very first time! And you all know how much I love the park as author of their book, writer of PKI-inspired fiction, unofficial fan page member, and all around fan of PKI. Thank you PKI! Thank you Mrs. Chef! Thank you PKIC! And thank you the kind folks who post on this site! Have a most wonderful and joyous week! Sincerely, Italian Chef :chef:
  23. Mrs. G is a lady whom I hold in the highest esteem. We are very lucky that she posts on this site as she has much insight to offer. As usual, I agree with her. It is much easier to type venom about someone you never met in person than a human being that stands before your eyes. Of course, this would not be true if the person had B.O. (body odor). Hey everyone, I post on these sites for fun, laughter, information, communication, and to relieve stress. I thank all of your for your kindness and cooperation. Have a great week! Italian Chef :chef:
  24. I appreciate your positive comment. The people on this site who like me, as well as those who don't, can't deny that I love PKI. However, my love for my family exceeds all else. Nevertheless, I want PKI to be as much a part of my child's life as mine...if not more. I can't wait to see my child on Hanna-Barbera Land rides - and later on Nickelodeon Central rides. And I really look forward to the day my child will be big enough to ride The Beast and FoF with Papa Chef. I am sad that PKI pulled the Scooby Doo shows, because I loved them and I'm sure that my child would too after he/she is born. Maybe PKI will change its mind and bring back a Scooby Doo show in the future - and one with the whole cast. I wish each and everyone of you a great day. Sincerely, Italian Chef
  25. PKI lost its sign...but hey, they'll get a new one. Hence, PKI is better off than Little Bo Peep who lost her sheep and didn't know where to find them. Have a great day and thank you for your kindness, Italian Chef
