This year I asked a total stranger to take a picture of Mrs. Chef and I in front of Bubba Gump Shrimp Shack. After the kind stranger took our picture, we recognized him (from the newspaper) as Mr. Zellner. Therefore we introduced ourselves to him. You are correct on both counts. The name of PKI's executive chef is David Zellner and he did say future eateries would be associated with rides. I hope that it will hold true for Boomerang Bay. Have a great day! Italian Chef

I am sad to admit that I haven't had time to download the game yet. My wife and I have been very busy with an out of town guest. How long does it take to download? I will try tonight. Have a great day! Italian Chef

I had an idea. What if after PKI closes for the season some of us PKI fans meet at a restaurant, eat, and watch PKI-inspired TV including: 1. The BRADY BUNCH Kings Island Episode (which I have on tape) 2. The PARTRIDGE FAMILY Kings Island Episode (which I have on tape) 3. Other PKI appearances on The Travel Channel & Discovery Channel (which I have on tapes). We could all meet at Siam Orchid Thai Restaurant in Alexandria, KY on a Sunday after PKI closes for the season. On Sundays, the restaurant has a dirt cheap all you can eat Chinese and Thai buffet which I think is under $6. It normally costs money to rent the "party room" which has a TV and VCR. However, since the owner-chef and I are friends, it'd only cost the price of the individual buffets. Plus, if enough people show interest...I'll make a tray of my famous lasagna and place it with the Thai & Chinese buffet. Anyone interested? We can all talk about how much we miss PKI, watch KI-inspired TV, and munch on Thai, Chinese, and Italian food for low prices. Let me know. Sincerely, The Italian Chef

Dane, Yes Sir! I would be very happy to sign your book. I hope that you can make PKIC Day. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

DocDude, It would be an honor and a pleasure to sign your book. Please bring it this Saturday. I can understand having a shy fiance because my wife is somewhat shy. Nevertheless, she will appear in our PKIC group photo before going home (she's pregnant so she can't ride any coasters). Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

Tonight I received an e-mail from Morning Star Entertainment about The Travel Channel show that was filmed at PKI and featured TR:TR. The show hasn't been scheduled to air yet - but will probably show in December or January. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

If I had $1 million to spare, I wouldn't buy KC. Maybe Phantom Theater, but certainly not KC. Sorry. Italian Chef :chef:

Wow! More than 47% of us are older than 25 years old. Now I don't feel like an old fart anymore! I still need Metamucil, but at least I don't eat prunes and wear depends. I look forward to meeting some of the nice people at this site on Saturday for PKIC Day. Until then...have a groovy day. Sincerely, Italian Chef :chef:

Should Boomerang Bay serve Auzzie food & Beer?
italianchef replied to italianchef's topic in Kings Island
Good point! I don't see why PKI can't have an eatery that offer Foster's beer, Crocodile Dundee burgers (a fancy name for an American food), and vegemite sandwiches (real Auzzie cuisine). It'd be most cool and groovadelicious. Have a happening day! Crocodile Italian Chef -
I surely hope that PKI will have some Australian influence in its culinary and/or beverage offering at Boomerang Bay. I really do.

Hey, June works better for me than April. My baby is due in April...hence I won't be able to go to PKI in April unless he/she is born early. Even then...I doubt I'll go until May or June. At this point in my life, fatherhood excites me even more than my beloved PKI with all of its roller coasters. I'm most pleased with the way PKIU is progressing. It seems we have attained RESPECT. Have a groovy week, Italian Chef

Nobody has begged for peace and unity as much as me. I think that a joint venture would be cool. As for timing....morning suites me better than late at night because I will become a father next year. As a result...my PKI trips will be limited to early morning to early afternoon as I'll need to go home to see and care for my child. I have every intention of being a loving, caring, and great father. I won't give PKI up, but my trips will be shorter in duration. So please folks...let's schedule it in the morning, especially as pictures in daylight will look better than evening photos. Have a great day EVERYONE! Italian Chef

Since Boomerang Bay is billed as an "Australian" water resort - should it serve at least one Australian dish, such as a vegamite sandwich? And ought it not offer real Australian beer/wine such as Foster's? I think so. If you have a product that is themed after a foreign nation....you ought to be authentic. Have a groovy day! One of my wife's Japanese friends is coming over for dinner tomorrow evening. Hence I made Tomb Raider Tiramisu for dessert tonight (it needs to chill over night) and will make The Beast Penne for dinner tomorrow. Expect pictures of my dishes soon as well as more fiction to follow. Have an awesome day and thank you all for your civility, Italian Chef :chef:

Since I've already experienced the other attractions last year...I'm most looking forward to Route 666. I just hope that the line isn't mega-long as I'm patiently challenged. Have a groovy day! Italian Chef :chef:

All is forgiven. I'm a lot nicer than people give me credit for. Let's all have fun at PKI this Saturday under the PKIC banner. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

Dan, Mrs. Chef and I are looking forward to meeting you as well. I greatly look forward to PKIC Day this upcoming Saturday. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

Since Boomerang Bay is going to be a "water resort" with "5 star amenities" I am wondering if PKI will offer different food. I would think that PKI would re-theme their eateries and offer something a little fancier and hopefully something Auzzie-oriented. It would seem to me that Caribbean Cones would be out of place in an Australian themed water resort. Perhaps it'll be re-named something like Outback Cones. And as for Sharkey's Eats...I'd hope it'd be re-themed and offer at least one Australian dish. We'll have to wait and see. I don't expect to see vegemite or kangaroo burgers (yes some Australian people really DO eat kangaroo, though I never would) on the menu - but I hope there will be some Australian flare in the cuisine. Have a great day! Italian Chef

Can you please tell me if in your opinion the park is more crowded than on past FearFests? Mrs. Chef went on opening night last year and did ALL of the haunted mazes, attractions, and even the tasteless Celebrity Slaughter show in 3 hours! If you waitied 2 hours for one attraction.......it sounds like the park was packed. When I learned that PKI would give free FearFest to all season pass holders, I was very disappointed because that means longer lines. Though I am not in any way wealthy....I'd rather pay $20 extra for short lines and be able to enjoy all the attractions in 3 hours than get in free but spend hours and hours on lines. That's my 2 cents anyway. Have a great day! Italian Chef

Personally I can't wait to ride Tazmanian Typhoon. Water rides that place the riders in a vessel are, in my opinion, more fun than simple water slides. And this ride looks large and ambitious.

Greeting PKIUnlimited members and guests, I would like to declare that the new version of PKIUnlimited rocks! This updated site is very well organized and aestheically pleasing. Therefore I would like to commend Aaron for doing such a great job on this new version. It looks very professional and in my opion...it's cool. Have a great day! Italian Chef

Greetings Folks, Saturday, October 11th is scheduled to be the very first PKI "un-official" day. As you all know that although I'm not a staff member of this site, I am a contributing writer. Please allow me to ask for a roster of who plans to be there and what you hope to accomplish that day. I, the Italian Chef, health and circumstances providing plan to be there that day. I hope to meet the two ambitious, creative entrepreneurs behind this site, Dan and Dane. Additionally, I hope to meet good-hearted, peaceful, fun-loving PKI fans such as Mrs. G. And I hope to have a great time! Therefore, in conclusion I hope to see as many happy people as possible. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

what if paromounts didnt buy kigs island
italianchef replied to beastbreakdown's topic in Kings Island
Kings Island was a successful park for twenty years before Paramout bought it. I think that Kings Island is a great theme park with or without Paramount. Nevertheless, had Paramount not bought Kings Island it would surely be different. -
I do hope some more of you kind people will read my Phantom Theater story and post your (positive) remarks.
