New for 2011 Windseeker!
Let's look at the mechanicals: Conveyance to get the "gondola" up to the top of the tower (I would assume cable lift powered by motors located on the top maintenance platform or inside the tower) and Motor(s) that rotate the gondola. A traditional wheel and tire are visible in the animation and illustrations, and that's about as low tech as it gets. and Locks and Sensors on the restraints. As far as I can see, that's it. Here's how I see it. The gondola is completely free from the tower itself. The two are linked by the catchcar type structure that is dynamically affixed (dynamic meaning that the connection allows movement, in this case horizontal rotation). This apparatus is also connected to the cables that raise and lower the gondola. Now, anything at 300' can be problematic, but this seems to be pretty well tested technology. I don't have too many fears about downtime, unless the winds prove to be more of a problem than they were expecting . http://www.mondialrides.com/products They are the king of state fairs so I wouldn't rely on them too much Wow! Just wow! Nice post! How many of these rides are Huss frisbee imitations. No wonder Funtime was so upset!!! Never been to Europe or Asia I see...I would kill to work on a Mondial or a KMG rather than a Huss. imitation frisbee? I hate to break it to you but Huss is also an imitation, they did not design the first, they did however design there version of the ride and call it a frisbee. Mondial's version is much more reliable at any size. What do you think would be harder, designing a ride that can only be put in a stationary position? Or designing a ride that can be put in a stationary position or be mounted on a truck and moved in a short period of time? This company will design it either way and it will be more reliable than any thing Huss puts out.

Aunt Sandy's, she specializes in Hungarian but can cook you any thing you want, and it will be better than any restaurant you go to. Only problem is, you have to find her house for yourself…….if I tell you then every one will go and she will kill me for that. Oh and if you do find it, tell her I love her and to make the Swedish meat balls with gorgonzola and the stuffed mushrooms. You might hate me when you see the portions, but you will thank me when she dosn't bring you a bill and you tast it.- Castles 'N Coasters
Not bad, a little bit on the mini golf now lets turn it into an amusement park side but ok. Plenty to do for a day or two especially if you like mini golf. Did I mention they have mini golf? Make sure you take the number with you and call ahead, they do and will change the hours of opperation when THEY want to.- Checking Steel Coaster Track

Rest my friend, you have done well in this life. Others can and have taken over where you have left off, and will continue to do so. There is so much you have done that so many do not know, you will be missed.- Has Anyone Else Won...
^You don't "have to" but it would be more promising!- Has Anyone Else Won...
Maybe it will look more promising if you play..........just a thought..............hey I just thought of some thing, if I play I might win too!!!- (Confirmed) Jack Falfas Resigns from Cedar Fair
A pessimist sees new flag poles and says "Why?" An optimist sees new flag poles and says "Why Not?" And then you have the ones who hold press conferences with a Q and A session and leave the A's out. As an old carnie friend used to yell: "Money Money Money" It will all make sense soon.- New Trims on I305
I did read and understand what you wrote and I stand by my post, as many drivers must hit the brakes during the first lap of the green flag. Cars do dip and dive into the first turn right as the green flag waves...... secondly I understand you said Earnhardt "killed himself" by not wearing a device that was not mandatory. But you also did state he drove recklessly. Reckless means out of control. Earnhardt was in control of his car (as in he meant what he was doing) and I doubt he was ever a danger to other drivers. But it depends on how you look at it. Earnhardt came from a different era when a bent up car meant the race was hard fought.... and I am sorry you are in a bad mood, a car breaking down does suck. One last time: "don't hit the brakes when the green flag waves" is NOT a litteral term, neither one of us said "NEVER". Also the Hans device was not mandatory, but it was highley recomended by NASCAR. Earnhardt CHOSE not to wear it when it could have saved his life. Earnhardt drove like he was driving a car from the "70's, the cars that were designed in the "80's till now could not and can not take that kind of punishment. A bent up car in the "80's to present meant that you were out of the race hard fought or not. This is all I have to say about this, if you don't get it now you will never see the light. edit: sorry don't know what happened to the quotes on this?- Fair board to consider new Kentucky Kingdom operator!
They take away there own dimes, and hope some one will step in and give them at least nickels?????????- New Trims on I305
This has been bugging me so I want to get it out of my system. #1 You mention "the greatest driver ever" but you did not mention the name Richard Petty? Hm, don't get that one at all. #2 Dale Earnhardt basically ended up killing himself by not wearing a Hans device. I do respect Mr. Earnhardt, but as most drivers who drove on the same track as him would attest, he was reckless. ANY driver would tell you the same thing: Safety first, winning second. So it is true that they don't hit the brakes when the green flag waves, they also know that they can't win in a car that is in peaces. This coaster is the same way, I have ridden it both with trims and without, I prefer it with trims. It's not disrespectful at all, as a matter of fact I think it upholds the values of NASCAR. Saying drivers never hit the brakes is as dumb as saying drivers never turn right.... if you want to know when a driver hits the brakes all one has to do is look at tracks such as: Atlanta, Bristol, Martinsville, Watkins Glenn, Richmond, Dover, Pocono, Indy... Actually the brakes are at least touched once a lap on most tracks unless you are talking about Daytona or Talladega....But Earnhardt didnt kill himself by being reckless. He was making a block move and got tapped.... No one was to blame it was just an accident as Earnhardt was making a block for his teammates/son #1 We both said "don't hit the brakes when the green flag waves" neither one of us said "never hit the brakes". #2 I said "killing himself by not wearing a Hans device", not "kill himself by being reckless". (I do feel that he was reckless and a danger to others on the track though, but I do not think that is what killed him). Please read and understand before you post. (I am sorry if this comes across harsh, I'm in a bad mood, car broke down on the way home)- New Trims on I305

^If they have time, they will get back to you.........? An easer solution should be in the topography papers and land agreement at city hall. edit: Didn't mean to come across like that KI-Org. Just dealt with the FAA a little too much.- What's Kings Island's Height Limit?
Yes, that is CVG (Greater Cincinnati Northern KY) approach between 5,000 and 12,000. Most are at 12,000, but if there is a low ceiling (clouds) they will be closer to 5,000. Flying, both airports are about the same, but driving I think Blue Ash is closer. I can't see that much of a height restriction, but for some reason I keep thinking that I had heard 400ft from some where. Most small aircraft stay at about 1200-1500ft in that area because it keeps you above the towers and gives you a great view.- 41st Appalachian Festival at Coney

Ketchup? Are you people serious? I haven't had ketchup on my fries since I was a wee one. There is only one way to eat fries, and that is with mustard, chili, onions, cheese, and some hot sauce for good measure. If no chili is around, then just mustard (dark hot mustard). Ketchup is over rated. - NEW FOR 2011
