How about the Haunted House at Camden? It has a lift hill followed by a hilly track powered by gravity. On another note, Kennywood's Flying Coaster is not even a coaster, but contains the word coaster. Just like our Surf Dog.

BS does seem to have larger spaces between ratchets, particularly on train 1. As long as you buckle up (also remember before that), the wobble is not a problem.

For us that remember, those restraints are to tight! Oh how I miss buzz bars. Up stops equal air time, in BS case ejector air. Also did you not ride Cedar Downs?

I have been there several times. The Merry go Round Museum is a wonderful place with a lovely machine (hands down the best traditional one in Erie County).

You also forgot the removal of the engine, rear wing, and front wing. To say TTD has a nice theme is stretching it Mavericks theming is already falling apart, the tunnel seldom works and the waterbombs keep malfunctioning. DISpatch mASTER TRANSPORT had a ton more theming then STR, and look at it now. The theming could be a lot better, particularly how long the ride ride is. How about the light package on Power Tower or Millennium Force or Giant Wheel (current package installed in 2000), all now neglected and needing repair. The point is CP can not create nor maintain quality theming, there last successful themed project was in 1971 with frontier trail.

TTD relies on constant operation. If it were to go down for 30-45 min particularly on a cool or windy day it would roll back and likely break down. Also in the summer there can be up to an hour wait at 10 or 11 pm, that's a lot of unhappy guest.

The park's Midway sound system is interconnected through the whole park, with the ability to be zoned. Zoning is used most of the time in the summer, except for the national anthem and the night show. At one time the music zones looked like this park map. Recently, the zones have been reduced combining Main, Gemini, Kiddy Kingdom and most of Oceana. Games area uses Johnny Rocket's, Planet and Camp Snoopy each have there own loop. Frontier town/trail are there own loop as well, until the trail switches to starlight (trail is the only midway not to have the night show played on it). There are three out of park zones main gate, boardwalk/challenge and Soak City. During Halloweekends, the whole park minus Camp and Planet are on the same zone until night when trail becomes the Fright Zone. Ride and que sound systems are exclusive to the ride and are not connected to the midway. (thus is why one cannot hear the night show in MF's que). The Dragster scenario you mentioned would require it to go down during the show thus making it unfeasible. The HD will come in handy in the fall when they show sports on the screen, ruining the atmosphere of Halloweekends. Finally, The night show takes place on the Million Dollar /Laser/ Hot Summer Lights Midway not the funway. The funway is the old name for the Main Midway (between the Sky Ride stations) in which the original CP&LE station was until the moved it in 1970. The never bothered to change the sign on the station. See this map for more details.

I remember when survivor themeing was at a group of parks that featured stars around a mountain.
