  1. I'm a little late posting on here, but I too would like to say thanks to everyone for one of the best days at the park I have had. The "run for the hills" Diamondback teaser sign I won in the raffle was a great birthday gift. It was also extra special bacause of the signatures on the back. It has found a spot on my wall above my on ride photos. I appreciate all of the experiences I had yesterday including my first two rides on Invertigo. Thanks again for the amazing day.
  2. Thanks for the info on parking...I was just a bit confused. I am getting really excited for the event, as it will be my first time riding Invertigo. I 've visited Kings Island 20+ times a year for several years now and have never gotten on the ride. The backwards sensation is just not my thing. However during ERT there is a first time for everything. Plus, I want to kick the fact that I feel kind of funny admiting that Invertigo (and other boomerangs)are the only coasters I won't ride. I tried Headspin at Geauga Lake last season and had the crew laughing at me lol. I guess I screamed a bit to loud. Hopefully It prepared me a bit for Saturday.
  3. Sorry to add or ask this here... but I could not find the FAQ thread. I was wondering about parking. Will we have to pay for it during the event if we are passholders? Also, I am coming to the event with my girlfriend and she is not participating in the events. Will she be allowed access to the parking lot to get me there at the start of registration. If not how does the drop off area work because I've never used it. I'm really getting excited for the event, because I missed last years due to the sell out. Also, it makes a great birthday weekend because I'll be 21 on the Sunday the 17th. I've got a whole weekend planned around the event.

    eek! Top gun!

Although I am a huge fan of SoB... I doubt it will ever be more popular then The Beast. If things would of went a little different when it came to trains and tweaking of the SoB design it might have stood a chance. However, you can never take away the stats The Beast laid on the table. I doubt will ever see a woodie like it again. However, I will say I've been twice this season and papa is being more beastier than sonny IMHO. Sonny still gets ya... but papa had me a little delirious. I will say The Racer got the most love in the Wooden department this year. It is oh so smooth.
  5. When I rode backlot I was pretty sure the camera was there. However I was thinking, backlot was rebranded and it was the only ride that was rebranded with a camera. I believe the trailer had the IJ logo on it. This also doesn't include redoing of the border of the photo. If the stand turned any profit at all I'd say it will return after a redo.
  6. I am an oddball too I guess... I prefer Coke over Pepsi any day. The only thing PepsiCo I prefer is Diet Pepsi over Diet Coke. Regular Pepsi vs a Coke is no comparison to me. Also, I love me some Mello Yello. I remember back in 2006 getting ice cold Mello Yello's by Face Off. Now, Coke switched to Vault which is completely gross. I could live with Mountain Dew... but would cry without Poweraid. I keep a case in my fridge at all times. The blue Mountain Blast is the greatest. The fruit punch has a much fuller taste than Gatorades'. I will admit the lemon lime poweraid tastes like Pledge cleaner. Also, as a side note... Dr Pepper is located with and goes on sale with the 7up products at all Walgreens Drugstores, and most Walmart stores. Also, the same goes for the Crush Brand, which has returned to Ohio to replace MD:Livewire. Pepsi bottlers have rights to bottle those.
  7. I was at Kings Island on Saturday the 6th and was unable to see anything from the Eiffel Tower when I went to look for the trains. I looked for a great while. As far as I could tell the boneyard where King Cobra sat consisted of nothing but the trams and some Vortex railing. This is all that I could see there. Of course it was hard because the top of the tower was INFESTED with wasps. Unless they are else where I didn't see them.
  8. I am excited to see what Cedar Fair has in store for the coming years. My only wish is for them to give Top Gun a long overdue paint job.
  9. Just seeing the coaster run brings relief in my mind. I am happy just to see the coaster show life.
  10. Yesterday for me was actually a fairly good day. The crowds were absolutely insane, but the employees handled it well in my opinion. I did however suffer the longest waits I had ever had for certain rides. Top Gun was a 45 minute wait and Adventure Express was a 20-30 minute wait. The Beast Employees were awesome. They were cheering up the crowd thoughout the night, despite a full line even at 10:15. Every inch of the line was filled. The crowds were bad, and so were the outages but the park did well imo.
