  1. That's the next thing i'm looking forward to... I had so much fun last year even with being shy and not talking to anybody. I can only imagine the fun after opening up and talking a bit. Who knows??? Maybe the KIC Group can convince me to ride Drop Tower for the first time. My goal this year was to at least get in line for it even if I didn't go through with it. This is coming from a person that shrieked their head off on Demon Drop at CP.
  2. Great pics... I know Chicago is a very beautiful place. I've never been, but I'd like to try to visit some day. I'm terrified of planes, so a car ride will be my most likely form of travel. Although I thought, a flight to Chicago would be quick. It might be a great way to break the ice for me. Also, thanks again for Robin and you keeping me company during the coaster weekend.
  3. Hey KI Man you take some great pictures and I think you have a good shot at winning the contest with that photo of the conductor. I never was introduced formally, but I was with stalkerchick and ogrmac on saturday. They were smoking and contemplating a ride on Reptar before the b-day party for The Beast. I never ended up riding though.
  4. Lol that was probably my family... They won a big red Starwars playground ball. I had them join me yesterday because of the 9.99 deal. I reminded all of them several times of how much it annoys me and a lot of other people that were in the park that day.
  5. I say a nice flat would fit the bill in 2011... I don't think we'll even get anything in 2010. ( look at Cedar Point and Maverick.) A ride like Skyhawk at CP would be nice, but I can ride that there. Something new and unique would be awesome. We already have one of the best coasters in the states... how about one of the best flats in the states. (Delirium and Drop Tower are good lets aim for that again)
  6. It was nice to finally get to meet the master behind the camera... I snagged a Diamondback ride with you along with Ogrmac and Robin in the morning. Everyone in the group you were in are crazy funny. I tagged along for a bit and had a blast. As for Son of Beast... I truly enjoy the ride and appreciate what it did for me. (I was terrified of coasters up until 2001 and that ride). I think it is great that so many people were in awe during the tour. Even if you don't like the ride, the structure is amazing. The ride is really is a work of art.
  7. You are absolutely crazy Stalkerchick. Loved your Racer pic that you showed me in the KI Theater. Everyone else was great as well. It made a day by myself a whole lot of fun. I'd also like that group photo posted that a bunch of us took in front of Diamondback. I think PKIrulers didn't end up capturing it but I think Avatar got it.
  8. I say that most people are spot on. I think Backlot Stunt track is an excellent choice. My friend that is usually a non rider due to fear actually rode that and actually enjoyed it. Also, Reptar was a great ride for one of my nephews. Although some will argue about it being a coaster, I think Avatar would be a great choice for every one. My family will do a lap on that laughing the entire time.
  9. ohhh.... Stupid mistake on my part. I saw the PM behind 1:30. Night rides make it even better.
  10. You stated Diamondback 10:30pm - 1:30pm Ryan. Are they going to close the ride to the public? That would be sweet on our part, but pretty crappy to the public. I'm stoked that Backlot is in the lineup. I for one love the ride, but hate waiting so long in line for it.
  11. I've got my room... so i'm all ready to go. I'm glad to see the variety but I wish some SoB action would have been a part of the program. Despite that this will still be great.
  12. That would be great Giga... I know most of you all from events I'm just to shy to talk. Organizing a group would be a great idea. Plus... by then we will all most likely be owners of the new KIC shirt design. We will stick out like sore thumbs.
  13. Yeah I noticed this as well. I at first thought the same think about the recycling. Then I realized that KI didn't build the trains. Also on a side note, did anyone else notice the TVs were gone in the queue for flight deck.
  14. Yeah... I'll be one of the 1,000... I just booked my hotel. Despite not knowing the full details I think the event will be a blast. I'm going solo as well for the event. My girlfriend will be with me during the day but she doesn't want to partake in the festivities. On a side note though... I dislocated my shoulder on monday night. Glad I got my hands up ride on D-back saturday because I'll be holding tight on the rides during the weekend. I never want to experience pain like I did again.
  15. another thing to note may be that sunday the 10th is gold pass bring a friend for 9.99 day. Will that jack up attendence? I imagine, the park will already be packed. Not a bid deal I guess, I'll be there anyways.
  16. I saw several people throughout the day... However, one person did say hey to me by Diamondback around 9:20. I waved back... but was rushing to try and get another ride on Diamondback. While in line for the ride I saw Avatar and Ogrmac (set with you at the table at the winter blues party) they were with a huge group of people I recognized but don't know. I was wearing a white shirt that said video games ruined my life good thing I have two extra life for part of the day. However, I switched to a black Diamondback shirt later.
  17. I thought the ride was pretty amazing... The second drop had my feet bent straight out. I was a bit dissapointed about the on ride photo location. It caught a bad look on my face both rides. I got my second ride at night and have to say it is one of the best night rides. Although The Beast family gives it a run for its money at night. I am completely bummed about not getting a first rider shirt. I had to work and didn't get to the park till 5. I'm hoping to catch one on Ebay (any one have an extra ). I wanted one because it would go well on my wall along witht the poster I won at the winter blues party and the teaser sign I won at the KIC second coming.

  19. Haha I didn't even noticed she was looking at me. The photo ops wer kinda hard to capture as everyone was trying to take pictures of similar things.
  20. The banners look great... I hope that they are elsewhere throughout the park. I think it is a nice touch. The sign for The Beast is great too. It looks a lot like the old one.
  21. Any idea if the season pass center will reduce hours on Easter Sunday. This is probably the best day for me to go considering I have sundays of work regularly.
  22. Continued with Seaworld Orlando photos Yikes... This mime was hilarious before the sealion show... He was mocking people as they walked by anything to get a fish guess... Whew a face only a mother could love It was feeding time so all we got was Manatee butt Dolphin show set I guess they were hungry The only really good picture of Shamu we got because the fricken camera died They have a B&M Floorless called Kraken it is quite a blast. Inversion after inversion. It also has a loop that goes into an underground cave I give it a 9 out of 10. Once again... a excellent Busch coaster that is immersed into its surroundings. This is beside the entrance....
  23. We could have gotten multiple ride but we only stayed the second day till 4. We would have had 3 more hours for rerides. Also, I think it was you Terpy that suggested Mel's Ok... lets see if I can get the photos up.
  24. This is officially I believe my first trip report. A few weeks back I was in Tampa for my spring break, which meant an obvious trip to some parks in the area. I selected Busch Gardens for myself and my girlfriend decided she wanted to visit Seaworld. After a bit of organizing we bought length of stay tickets for both parks. This ran for about $90 a piece, so that wasn't that bad. Tuesday the 24th was our day... or so I thought. Let me just remind you that we had been told that the area had been in a drought for several months. So, what happens the day we pick to go... you guessed it RAIN. However, it was only cloudy when we got up so we attempted to go anyways. We arrived at the park slightly after opening to an empty lot. So empty they parked us in perferred parking just outside the gate. The entrance area of this park is beautiful. I honestly don't know how the Busch parks aren't up for cleanest and friendliest parks. 4 people greeted and welcomed us before we even got to the gate. They took our fingerprint?? and we were let in. ONce in we decided to hit the Egypt are and Montu. The are around Montu is stunning and the replica of King Tut's tomb is a nice touch. Having only been on Raptor I haven't had much B&M Invert experience. We walked on to the second row and began the climb up one of my now favorite coasters. The ride pulls inversions out of no where and doesn't stop delievering until the brakes. Also, it is immersed into the scenery so each cave is painted and themed. It made for a great ride and an awesome experience. After Montu we decided to take a look at the near by shop and take a look at the Edge of Africa exhibit. I was surprised that most of the animals are complete show boats and try everything to get your attention. It is almost as if you are the exhibit and they are there to see you. Once again, I have to mention all of the great scenery. Flowers, trees, waterfalls all made me feel like I was in the Jungle. Everything was that well done. As we were doing this the rain began to show up with a sprinkle. We decided to duck into a show to keep dry. We picked Katonga a musical with an African theme. Least that's what I began to get. We only got to watch 10 minutes of the show. The theater we were in and some of the park lost power. We were in the middle of a slight thunderstorm. My day was ending right before my eyes as everyone decided it best to pack it up as the radar on the cell phone was indicating more rain. I left with one ride and an empty stomach. This is where one of the suggestions I got on here came in handy. We went to Mel's Hotdogs and got some food. I must say it was really good. At lunch we decided to try BG again tomorrow. The next day was a lot better weather wise and I'll try to keep this part shorter for times sake. We arrived about the same time the next day. Let me get this out of the way every part of Busch Gardens is as beautiful as the next. We decided next to hit another show. An animal show by the name of Critter Castaways was the choice. It was very well done with the animals doing the stunts with most of the trainers out of sight. Birds and Parrots were flying everywhere. Several flew inches above our heads. Now for the rest of the coasters.... Gwazi was next and we picked I believe it was the Tiger side. The station was decked out again and the queue theming nice. There was no wiat for this one either. The ride was decent with a fast speed and lots of turns. I think it might be due for a little retracking as it was a tad rough. I can handle rough though... The ORP was crazy as I look like I had been shot. Not a bad ride though and I would do it again. Next we hit the big one... Shiekra was our biggest wait of the day as I expected. However, there was still only a 25 minute wait. The ride didn't really dissapoint and the drops were amazing. As many people have said you really don't realize you are going through the splash down. The only thin I felt was a little mist. Everything was well kept and it looks as if the ride is still brand new as the paint looks barely faded. Airtime was pretty decent as well expecially in the drops of course, but also in the immelman (SP?). One grip I do have is that the ride is short. With our wait though it wasn't a big deal. I did experience a rather long line next though and that was the wait to get food. I waited almost as long for food as i did for Shiekra. However, I will say they were generous with the helping of chicken fingers and fries. Also, they ran me 8.29 which is about what I pay at the island. So it wasn't that big of a deal Next was one I was waiting for and that is Scorpion. Although small, it pack a sting (haha). A 20 minute wait was followed by an intense loop and tight turns. Anton did not let me down. The bigger models must be fantastic... I felt the G,s on this one so we passed on Cheetah Chase their wild mouse. It looked to be a clone of Roadrunner Express at Kentucky Kingdom. Finally, the last coaster was Kumba. It was pretty fast and intense. It kind of reminded me of a not floorless Dominator. The scenery was great as it looked at some points if the Jungle brush was going to swallow us. The only think i can say about this ride is it must be next on the list to paint as it was rusted in spots. This was the only coaster I noticed it on. Also, there was a bit of shuffling after the midcourse. Otherwise, it was smooth sailing. All in all it was a great trip to a great park. I really haven't been to such a beautiful park. I think thelandscaping department there needs a huge thumbs up. I truely felt I was in different areas due to all the themeing. Pictures are next... (Coming up as they are not loading for some reason.)
  25. Looks great... I was thinking it would be a bit bigger, but the ride itself says, "Hey i'm right here. The area continues to shape up. I think Rivertown will look like a whole different place.
