  1. And SeaWorld Orlando proceeded to bump up admission price to like...78 dollars?
  2. AE was my first coaster ride at KI and was my first job when I went to the rides dept My first rides ever were at Cedar Point though.. (Jr Gemini/Gemini)
  3. I remember being afraid of the second lift hill yeah those guys..
  4. Sometime in January you will receive something in the mail talking processing for returners which usually takes place in February before the job fair when they allow new people to apply. Basically you call first dibs on whatever is there before anyone else
  5. My friends and second family there.. and my bf
  6. Then you are not the observant type.
  7. No, you throw the torch in, so it doesn't touch you. and run away. Yay quality comedy I tried picturing CedarPointer just standing cheering, but the mental image I got instead was the ridiculous scene from Revenge of The Nerds when they get drunk and accidentally... well they stand there with beer in hands chanting "our house, our house is burning down" >.>
  8. Please tell me I remember this correctly... the guy at the very top of that lift hill holding the pot thingy... didnt that used to drip water?
  9. I probably would. Mostly because I'm a stubborn feisty fool.
  10. I actually saw a canceled show once. lol! Female named Taima wouldn't leave the gates like she was preventing other whales from either coming in or out. It was funny The California park hasn't had a canceled show in like 5 years...even if the dominant female decides she don't want to perform, the trainers just work around her. Which that in itself is amazing due to her powerful personality.. the dominant female at Orlando would have the snot beaten out of her by the Californian matriarch (well both of them 0o)
  11. I still call it ecology. From what I learned due to this economy, you can't be too picky about the type of job you do. Better off being open to whatever they have to offer..
  12. It casts a certain ambience on the skyline It would look weird seeing that just completely...empty.
  13. Every park chain does it, not just CF, just so you know lol. I've seen BEC have a lot of fun with photoshop...horrid blending work even... take a picture of wild killer whales surfacing for air out in the wild and plaster them into an image with their own orcas... those types of photoshops were hilarious to look at cause that whale looked so out of place...lighting was all wrong, not too mention the 6ft dorsal fin looked weird in itself >.>
  14. Both my parents had the "FINALLY" reaction when they found out Nicktoons are finally leaving....much like I did, ha. Both aren't happy bout Scooby... Being why myself, Undertaker, my dad and my brother went on closing day to say goodbye to Hanna Barbera... my mom was like "why can't Snoopy and Scooby share?" And speaking of brother...he got semi upset about the Nicktoons, but much more grief for Scooby tho x.x My other brother actually don't even know the change is taking place. He's a non verbal autistic. He wouldn't understand. He probably wouldn't care at all bout Nicktoons. He is more familiar and loves both Snoopy and Scooby cause me and him actually grew up with all that. The only Nickelodeon he knows is Rugrats, Rockos Modern Life etc (stuff that isnt even shown on the main channel anymore...) In other words he has not watched Nickelodeon in 6+ years. I tell parents with kids "kids don't know who Snoopy is? well turn your tv the heck on now cause *insert holiday special here* is on. Get them aquainted"
  15. See thats something I always disagree with. Ever since the Antique Cars were pulled, the only "family" rides at KI to me are the train and merry go round. I was raised on CP and practically by my grandparents so this view is different. Kind of depends how you define "family", for me when I define family I include senior citizens. I have yet to meet someone of that age (60s-80s) go ride Avatar, or Runaway Reptar or any of that. Most I've know rather relax on mild rides with their grand kids (like Antique, Cadillac, Ferris Wheel, Space Spiral, etc...) and see the shows. So with that I always considered CP more family friendly
  16. Might be possible if you think about when Behemoth opened?
  17. Cause they got nothing else better to do? lol
  18. I felt a little dizzy after several rides on Flight of Fear with RingMaster once... Very rarely I get like that on coasters... but for some strange reason I can feel sick riding in a car... as both my mom and Haunt Undertaker found out. I have to be riding high in a van, truck or something x.x I ride in a regular car... please leave me be and let me sleep...
  19. I say all 3. Just put your most preferred choice as your first choice and put the other two down as the backup on your application. That way if your preferred choice had no openings you would likely hear from one of the other two. CedarPointer - I am not sure. I was 15 when I first started at KI, my bday falls during the offseason so when I turned 16 I went to rides. I say just ask the park... they may let you put in an app at 15 if your going to be turning 16 before the season begins, but I would make double sure.
  20. Dress Nice Be professional (Cedar Fair very much prefers professionalism you will learn fast once you begin to work) Don't act like a jerk, be polite and once your hired.. Do What You Are Told
  21. Well isn't that Camp Snoopy? CP has different kinds of kiddie places, I don't think other CF parks have those generic names......do they? Knott's Berry Farm home of the original Camp Snoopy lol
  22. kjkjkj - thank you! over all it was fun. I thought it was flippin adorable how Undertaker felt left out on the hug I gave your cousin "what no hug for me? fine BYE KYLE!" xD StalkerChick - what choice did I have? if I didn't and saw you at Howl o Fest I can picture you literally chasing after me. lol you hyper active girl.
