  1. You sir, deserve the pat on the back. I was just discussing this with Justin_M17 at KI yesterday when I showed him my grandpas 1994 KI season pass. My grandparents LOVED Cedar Point but often got bored very quickly with KI. They were happy with the easy going stuff such as Space Spiral, train, paddlewheel boats and the long list of shows at CP. For KI at the time, it was basically only riding the Antique Cars with me and much fewer shows..
  2. I say expect a healthy crowd. Labor Day weekend
  3. *reads thread* /facepalm Good to know she's ok. Any performance job is not easy. I just know it from a Haunt scare actor viewpoint but still, we're still performing, just in different way.
  4. haha yeah. I am definitely going back sometime this week to see the other shows, I'm so behind
  5. Sunday (yesterday) I returned to KI officially for the first time since before the knee injury. My day began with seeing Snoopy Rocks on Ice for the first time since the change, and I lurv it! I am quite proud of the pictures I managed considering that was the first time I ever took pictures of any kind in the theater. After the show I met up with a fellow KICmember and we did some ride riding on Adventure Express, Racer (Red), Beast, D'back, Woodstock Birdies (is that even a coaster?), Flight Deck, and Drop Tower. Yes I survived all that. Anyway pictures (I rather do links for the sake of those with slower connections) Some of Snoopy Rocks http://www.flickr.com/photos/ki_faerie_wench/4851314071/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ki_faerie_wench/4851581037/in/set-72157624270559048/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ki_faerie_wench/4851592433/in/set-72157624270559048/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ki_faerie_wench/4851644709/in/set-72157624270559048/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ki_faerie_wench/4851666693/in/set-72157624270559048/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ki_faerie_wench/4852296568/in/set-72157624270559048/ Other pictures taken during the day http://www.flickr.com/photos/ki_faerie_wench/4851835106/in/set-72157624270559048/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ki_faerie_wench/4851841976/in/set-72157624270559048/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ki_faerie_wench/4851262431/in/set-72157624270559048/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ki_faerie_wench/4851751555/in/set-72157624270559048/ My complete set http://www.flickr.com/photos/ki_faerie_wench/sets/72157624270559048/
  6. Back in Ohio, and I been busy uploading pictures (still busy in fact).. up to 300 down and dunno how many left to go, lol. Probably take a break and go to KI.. I miss the train more than the coasters.
  7. Thank you Jesse Think it was the most fun I had this year honestly. Rough year really needed the trip and it helped ><
  8. I'm currently in Georgia at the moment, but will be back home tomorrow afternoon. Well I went to Universal and managed to fathom Magic Kingdom before I felt like I should GTFO. But screw those two, neither were as fun as SeaWorld for me. XD I pretty much spent the entire week at SeaWorld. I only got one ride per each coaster the entire time considering I was actually having more fun with the animals. Everytime I visit the park, the animals never cease to amaze me. Wednesday was the most interesting day for me. Went into to SW early in the morning and was there at the dolphin nursery when it opened, I kept to a corner of the pool cause I hate feeling crowded and this young one kept hanging around me and watching my every move, spyhopping and all trying to get better look at me. And she would actually breach every time I move to a different spot o__o I actually wonder if its possible they can sense a animal person, cause I did nothing to get her attention other than taking pictures. Same thing happened later at SCU (Shamu Close Up) Tillikum just ended a play session with his trainers so he was swimming laps and he bypassed the kids beating on the glass and came directly towards me o___o ...well gave me a fun picture taking opp! I love the big guy. As for the measling coasters and rides... well I saw 4 line jumpers at Manta and 2 at Kraken?! My niece hollered "line jumper" at the kids at Manta it was pretty funny when they got back behind us She's 9years old which makes it more interesting. Well, since I'm still out of state, I only uploaded a few pictures. So my Flickr will be updated with more stuff tomorrow afternoon.. mind you all I took 2,197 pictures total the entire trip, most were at SW. Oh on a positive note, think my knee is healing up. Not once did it hurt from the walking! Tho still kind of hurts to bend it...
  9. I still think it would of been better off at MiA, but great to it at least survives somewhere else.
  10. Probably because some people are more interested in the rides. Some pretty nice pictures you got Can't wait till I'm able to go to KI again Stupid knee...
  11. An updated more detailed article. Sounds like it was an electrical.. http://www.sanduskyregister.com/sandusky/2010/jul/07/three-firefighters-injured-cedar-point-blaze Glad no life threatening injuries to the firefighters!
  12. ^kind of like Town Hall Museum at CP? (minus the cars ><)
  13. One of the outages I seen I think that was whole city of Mason if I remember correctly? Never heard anything bout injuries... just upset people that their fave ride wasnt working or broke down with them on it
  14. I'm sure the trains remained where they were when it happened.
  15. It's interesting the first couple minutes, until you head for the front gate and see a line of people stretching from guest relations to the fountains. I been through a total 3 power outages there >.>
  16. They were flippin adorable lol! Little tuxedos I'm not surprised at all, lol. Farmer I know had a 23 year old declawed cat that was pretty darn good mouser. It was neat!
  17. Nah I was on break and 2 slices in front of me. I felt I could live on just one so I tore it up and gave the pieces away Sometimes I actually like the pizza >.>
  18. I gave my pizza up too a group of kittens at the park once.. lol.
  19. I actually rescued two snakes at KI... and had a fawn attempt to follow me out behind Beast
  20. I used to see deer alot when I worked in park services... and that was before Diamondback. They seem to be less frequent since that went up :\ A supervisor I worked for had a close encounter with a skunk.. mistaken it for a garbage bag (it was after close), good thing he didn't scare the poor skunk. There are cats that live in and around KI as well.
  21. When did they officially shut down Phantom Theater? I remember riding it towards the end of June back in 02 and I went back to the park with my cousins on the final day of the season and it was heavy construction.. I'd seriously take Phantom Theater over both Scooby and Boo Hill...but thought Boo Hill was better than Scooby
