  1. I went mainly for the shows this trip although I did get my usual rides on AE and FD tho! Think a few of the stone temple warriors must have really bad cramps from pounding those drums last 18+ years, someone get them some medical attention I did end up spending about hour and a half in Festhaus to cool off considering I hate humidity, it just makes me pretty grouchy. And since a showing of American Country was coming on, I decided to stay for it. I actually enjoyed it more than Down Home Country in a lot of ways and also am I going deaf (since my head is always shoved into the engine of the Oldsmobile or some mopar haha) or did they actually lower the volume in Festhaus? It's not as loud as I remember. The 9/11 Tribute actually brought me pretty darn close to tears cause I remember that day really well despite my age at the time. After the showing I bumped into Captain Nemo (great seeing you again ) and met Kirk S. for the first time. (sorry Kirk if you were caught off guard, I'm bit of an elusive type so don't feel bad happens to everyone just ask Gator XD) Later in the afternoon, I went to Pirate Adventure, thought it was kinda cute, lol. Though no one told me about the water they shoot out towards the audience! T___T oh well. At least my camera didn't get wet, but that water was hot to my skin. Before leaving I caught the beginning half of the Peanuts Party in the Plaza. It was fairly enjoyable. Kudos to the talent in that show in that sort of heat/humidity. Normally when I go to the park to see some shows, I try to pick a day where they are all open, sadly since it being a Wednesday, no ice skate show.. Eh, I'll return This trip was actually a spur of the moment surprise trip. I like surprises. Good ones...not the bad ones. Anyway...the pictures (woohoo?) Keep in mind I am actually no where near done with picture uploading..so yeah. 2. Same with me as you personally seen Especially my camera stuff I protect like an infant child, lol.
  3. I grew up riding Wildcat.. I'd hate to see that go. Glad everyone is OK though.
  4. ^Yes. Supposedly it is still the largest dino discovered. EDIT: well the widest lol
  5. I kind of would like to see the Ruyang Yellow River dinosaur, that be neat to me sucks what happened though. Here is the one that was displayed at Brookfield Zoo when they had Dinosaurs Alive there
  6. The Top Gun stars are on the signs in the Flight deck station..
  7. I must be minority. I actually LIKE the seat belts. And I'm not... small either.
  8. ^Thank you!
  9. Not much of a TR for this one since it was to take mom to get her Gold pass renewed and while there decided to take our first look at DA! I must say, I was actually pretty pleased with it. Kind of wish something be done bout the fee (I'm actually for the fee) but this is not the place for it. Here are a couple favorites There are posted to my FB http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=9628153&l=138a43056a&id=505303695 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=9628321&l=2c1619858e&id=505303695 (was kind of bummed with that one but still cute) http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=9628362&l=f28a482093&id=505303695 I plan on returning Monday or Tuesday on my own. That little short visit was very much needed after our house was touched by a possible tornado during the week, so thank you to the dinos
  10. Yes it has, and took me till today to realize how bad it really has been. The farming around me is close to (if not over) month late in planting crops. My dads crop fields are literally untouched cause it always seems to have standing water somewhere.
  11. I was also in line for DB (back around the final corner before the stairs up to the station) when it went down for weather at around 4:20. I decided I didn't want to get any wetter than I already was (I had just gone through all four water attractions), so I elected to wait out the storm in the station. People kept getting out of line and leaving, and by the time DB resumed operation almost two hours later, I was the first in line for the very back seat. Only about 40 people stuck it out in the station the whole time. On our way out of the station the ride op did one of those "on the count of three, how crazy can you be?" things that usually gets a lukewarm response, and this time it was the loudest cheer I had ever heard in response to that question. The response to "how was your ride" three minutes later was equally loud. Very possible we walked past you then. We were just a couple full train loads away from getting on when we heard the phone call arrive, before the announcement we had a hunch what that call was about Think we only hung around for about 10-15 mins after it shut down before leaving. The amount of rain been nuts!
  12. Thanks guys. Looking out the window makes me glad I went when I did Friday the 13th was good to me. hehe.
  13. Despite the rain later on in the day, I had a blast at KI. 8:30am I have arrived to this sight 9:30am I'm reunited with TrainedBeast. After I snuck quick photo grabs of the dino outside the front gate, we met right back up at Diamondback for ERT, to my surprise ( ) I spy pkiboy on our train. We had just that one go round with Dback before heading off to The Beast, there we had 2 go rounds back to back... partly due to lack of lines and plus Beast didnt want TrainedBeast to leave so he kept her stapled in. Our day was pretty much spent enjoying the park atmosphere and taking photos. Other rides we took on were Flight of Fear, the ever so confused Adventure Express, Crypt where we watched Rufus play peek a boo, and the best ride in the whole park............ ..... .......... the choo choo train! 4 or 5 rounds worth of that. XD By...what was it? 3 o clock or 4 when those clouds rolled in? We were about to board Dback for another round then the ride had to close due to weather... didn't stay to wait, both of us had to be off. Other photos I took today include the following: The dinos WindSeeker Canadian Geese And my new personal favorite shot of Vortex (hehe its my laptop background) My Kings Island 2011 Flickr album, go nuts. Album
  14. Knott's commercial is basically the same thing as well.
  15. I'm just happy that creepy sponge is gone.
  16. I have several, mostly from Cedar Point from the early 90s clear through 2003. I held onto not only mine but my grandparents as well. I have a few from Kings Island, tho I don't think we started getting passes there till about 2000. I have my grandparents KI season passes from the mid 90s tho, I even carry my grandpas around with me at the park just because it keeps him close. Not really a season pass but close enough, I get a funcard from SeaWorld since when I visit Florida each yr thats pretty much the only park I like to visit. We have passes from the Beach water park but dunno if that counts here
  17. If I have my camera stuff with me, I try to avoid the coasters. (I don't need to ride coasters to have fun) Those who have seen my Olympus and its lenses know better than to drag me onto Dback or Beast cause I get pretty mean knowing I gotta leave the stuff in the station. On the rare occasions I go without my camera stuff, I wear cargo pants of course to keep my cellphone with me, then I'm more than happy to ride the rolley coasters.
  18. I didn't have any issues.
  19. Nevermind Im in the wrong thread
  20. ^That's sad, what is also sad I don't even know what Mighty B and El Tigre are. Guess I shouldn't be surprised tho.
  21. They already did. I say "did" because its been a few years since I watched it (Nicktoons network), so I don't know if they already replaced everything. They had Angry Beavers, AHh Real Monsters, Hey Arnold, Rocket Power, Doug, Ren & Stimpy and my favorite Rockos Modern Life.
  22. I lived almost halfway between Cincinnati and Columbus and put several years at KI. Yeah I come from the north.
  23. Hi my name is _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ pleased to meet you all :D

  24. That article. Made my IQ drop. Person who wrote that should be old enough to correct their own spelling problems. Methinks he needs a tutor.
  25. I think I seen a picture of that once, but don't remember. My dad was telling me there were multiple prides (no doubt) there that were rotated in and out of the view from the monorail I guess what he was trying to say not all those lions were displayed all at once. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Y'know if KI had stuck with the animals, I probably would have chosen animal care over the roller coasters a long time ago.
