Did you know? The Eiffel Tower, Kings Island's landmark attraction, was actually a project originally intended for Coney Island? But that's just drops in a bucket of what's to come...

This thread is causing some of the people who are only on here to start trouble to come out of the woodwork. It'll be easier to identify them this way so they can be removed from the site. Therefore people who want to enjoy themselves can without being attacked.

Canada's Wonderland confirms Planet Snoopy
BoddaH1994 replied to vortexfan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I really think there are more similarities than differences when it comes to kids that age, whether they're from Ontario or Ohio. I don't think they can try to exactly replicate the results from one park to the next, but it would certainly be a way to help determine if people in general would be accepting of a transition from Nick to Snoopy. -

Another Rider Hits the 1,000th Diamondback Ride Mark
BoddaH1994 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
The 1,000 rides thing has been done. You'll have to do 2,000 this season if you want to make the papers. Get crackin'. You have a lot of work to do. -
^ We've all come to just accept Peanut as part of the show by now.

Andrew Klenk (front seat, left) enjoys his 1,000th ride on the new Diamondback roller coaster. The 13-year-old Lebanon, Ohio native became the second person in as many days to claim 1,000 rides on the tallest, fastest and meanest roller coaster to ever strike Kings Island. Gary Coleman took his 1,000th ride on Sunday.

That's exactly what I thought when I first saw this.

More often than not there's a hidden meaning behind Terpy's posts.

From Diamondback's Facebook page: "Cedar Fair Platinum Season Passholder Gary Coleman became the first guest to ride the new Diamondback roller coaster 1,000 times, taking his milestone ride Sunday evening on his 66th visit of the season."

Probably worked for Kings Island's QTV.

In one word: no.

That's a big Guitar Hero game now...

Sometimes things posted on KIC and things posted on Facebook correlate. Sometimes they don't. Have I ever let you down?

Canada's Wonderland confirms Planet Snoopy
BoddaH1994 replied to vortexfan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
If I had to guess, I'd say that what your daughters will be seeing in KI's kiddy area in the next few years is entirely dependent on the public's acceptance of the transition of Nickelodeon to Peanuts at Wonderland. -
If I had to speculate, I'd have to say that option 1 is the most likely of the 3 options that Screamscape posted. However, I'd say that option 1 is still very unlikely.

Anything is fair game, Mr. Klocke.

What do KICentral, Kings Island, WCET and some of the most knowledgeable personalities in the amusement industry all have in common? They've all worked together on something that you're really going to enjoy! Details soon.

I wish you had gotten video of the weird old guy in the wheelchair who interrupted our "Blackberry vs. iPhone" debate by saying something along the lines of, "Stop talking and start doing something about it! That's why we fought the war!"

If you guys are home tonight make sure you check out Fox19's 10:00 news. It will include a feature of the Cincinnati Reds riding Diamondback. 08/23/09

It's a Mid Summer's SCREAM!
BoddaH1994 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I want to second that. A great time was had by all! A special thanks to all of our amazing friends in the Great Ohio Coaster Club for putting this into motion!!!!! I can't wait to see the PTRs rolling in!! -
Best part of that whole Paramount fiasco is when they emailed me, of all people, asking what they can do to make their site popular like KIC. I told them you can put all the marketing budget in the world behind it and it'll still just be an official site with forums, which would never fly. That's like a band running their own fan club. My honest opinion? One year from now the forums on that site will be gone. Not necessarily due to a lack of popularity, but since the site is run by Cedar Fair, it's going to have a hell of a lot more credibility behind it when some 15 year old kid posts that he heard from an inside source that whatever ride is down for the season. Oh, I can hear the media calls rolling in.......
