  1. I've heard rumors that Paramount has no plans for 2007 and they're counting on whoever the new owner is to buy something "off the shelf" although at one point when Maureen was taking the PKIC crew around to shoot photos she mentioned that they were going to do various improvements throughout the park in 07. Does this mean we'll get new paint and no new ride? No, not at all. But it does clearly mean that Paramount is doing business as usual.
  2. Of course, PKIC covered the event. Photos can be seen here.
  3. No, you're thinking of the Murph Mobile, which I believe is auctioned off now. The car is from the Godfather (I think) was near the I-Street entrance, somewhat.
  4. For some reason it's been sitting behind The Beastie in the admin area near the HVAC building for quite a while now.
  5. As much as I try to be positive on here, I'm going to go ahead and break character. FoF is absolutely one of the best rides in the park. In fact, you can't rely deny that it's one of the top 5 rides in the chain. If it's replaced by something, it's not going to be replaced by anything spectacular. It's going to be replaced by something that fits a nice tight budget and labeled a "family attraction" with what should be amazing themeing that won't work after the first few weeks. Sorry to be so anal, but sometimes you have to tell it like it is.
  6. Dane makes a very good point. Chances are, if you've taken a shot then we already have it. If something happens that you get photos of, but we don't, or you get that awesome "money shot" then feel free to email us.
  7. We do accept outside submissions, but they have to be done through the staff. Email them to a staff member and we'll decide what goes up and what doesn't. Most of the time if something doesn't go up, it's because we already have that exact same photo, so don't take it personally. Don't forget we have almost 3,000 photos of the park, so there's bound to be some dupes.
  8. CombatStupendous has been kind enough to share some of his opening day photos with us which can be seen by clicking here.
  9. Well then why don't you kindly go tell Guest relations because listening to you complain is getting really annoying. The people from the park do read our forums, so in a way this is an effective way to voice a concern. Also, I think most people on here can admit that the cuts hit the park pretty hard, so if corperate sees that there are a lot of dissatisfied people out there, then maybe they'll stop before it starts looking like Six Flags Ohio Kingdom. In all honesty, I see very few people who would bother to come on here just to complain about the park, but rather there are a lot of people who voice concerns about the well being of the park. A lot of people see PKIC as a forum full of complainers, when that's not the case. In all reality, we have 2000 different voices and opinions so inherently you're not going to be able to please all the people all the time.
  10. This... May have been answered by this... Nothing's guarenteed, so keep posted..
  11. Since a lot of people are calling Avatar a coaster, and a lot of people feel differently, I figured we'd take it to a vote.
  12. I always get frusterated with the ride crews around opening weekend and fear a really bad season, but you have to realize that they have a lot of new people, and for everyone else, they haven't been on the job in months. Give them a chance and you'll see the A+ employee reemerge that we're used to.
  13. Nice trip report, but please put future trip reports in the "Trip Report" forum, hence the name. They're much happier in there. Have a great day!

  15. I'll do this Sparky style. Things that enhanced my guest experience at PKI: - NU was beautiful and amazing. I really think the kids got a fair tradeoff for what was removed and what was installed. The area is colorful and will really keep the kids entertained for years to come! - The character breakfast was much better than expected. They actually used the colored lighting in the Festhaus for this. It was like PKI putting that extra 1% into the program improved it ten fold. - Much more efficent crews than I'm used to seeing on opening day. Almost like the training was improve.d Things that deterred from my experience at PKI. -Themeing was, once again, not improved upon on rides like IJ, TRTR, etc. - The price increases were ridiculous. - Shops and food stands closed.
  16. I was really disappointed when I found that out too...

  18. Good info... that ride really needed it.
  19. ^ I agree. I'm guessing that if I were a big HB fan when I was little, I would be a lot more upset to see it go. I imagine if they were getting rid of attractions that were themed to shows like Double Dare, You Can't Do That On Television, etc, it would hit me a little more since that was the stuff I watched when I was little.
  20. Actually, these are private forums and you are NOT protected by your First Ammendment right on here, so snap! But I do agree with you. I'm glad it was made over. The HBL that we knew from last year was a very tired area and it needed a change. After looking at some of the most recent photos, I think the area looks very lively and colorful. I just hope and pray that they keep it up and don't let it fade out like we've seen in the past. Hmm... PKIC suprilitaves... that's an idea. Sad part is, that's EXCLUSIVELY Cincinnati. It's not a midwest thing at all!
  21. I think ERTs started at 9:00 last year, right?
  22. It was Border Cafe'. They wanted to be Chipolte, but they weren't.
