If these are your only opportunities to visit the park this year, I'd consider going over a weekend that's not a holiday. Nothing special happens Memorial Day weekend, but it's usually crowded. 4th of July has the Nights of Fire, which is an amazing show, but you won't get much ride time in. It's really up to what you're looking for in your experience.

You see, that's where you're wrong. It's the responsiblity of the park to assume that anything that can be defaced will be. That's why things have to be either tamper proof or there has to be someone there watching at all times. You have to bear in mind that if you put 15,000 people in one area, there's bound to be a few hundred idiots.
-
I'm sure it's in the millions, but that's drops in a bucket considering what they'd pay for the parks.

I doubt they've finalized that much detail about Beastbuzz already. Usually that kind of stuff is done much closer to the event. Regardless, yes, if you haven't been to Beastbuzz, you're really missing out. I think one of my fondest memories of PKI is Beastbuzz 2004. It really is a blast and it's almost like a gathering for PKIC people, so you can put names to faces.

I noticed it last night too, but can offer no explaination at this time. Looks like we'll have to reclass this into the Dane Thomas' Problem Section for now...

It's going to cost a lot to produce and ship these things. With the prices quoted above, I'll actually make little to no profit on them.

We'd use our own photos.

I have found a manufacturer that can make photo books. I was considering using some of the photos from the past year to make kind of a "Best Of 2006" book at the end of the season. These books are professionally bound and the results from the ones I ordered for my work have turned out excellent. Now, based on this pitch, do you think that this would be a product that you guys would be interested in PKIC offering? The price would be about $30 or so.. Also, calendars showcasing some of the best PKI photos are also a possiblity for about $20. Please voted based on the photo books and leave comments about the calendar idea. Thanks, Ryan

No, they're shooting for a Memorial Day Weekend opening of SOB for this season.
-
I agree.. I've always said that the people on here have kind of a pseudo-responsibility since a lot both aren't employees yet are at the park often. Therefore, they can identify faults, yet they don't have the immediate justification that being an employee would likely cause.
-
^ SOB will be closed for continuing rehab a few weeks into the season. Trust me, it's for the best.

I must admit that having Winterfest through December as well as being up at the park a few times for PKIC stuff has eased my writhing desire for opening day a little, but I'm also still very excited.

Maureen said they're shooting for Memorial Day weekend, but offered no guarentees.

Not entirely, his campaign was several years ago and Eisner only resigned recently. I'm sure it had something to do with his resignation, but probably wasn't the only reason.
-
Isn't business grand? You can either vote for the board members, or choose not to vote at all. Roy E. Disney started a campaign to get people NOT to vote for Michael Eisner, and had something like a 30% success rate.
-
Don't forget that they also did the "Breakfast With The Characters" a few years ago as a Gold Pass promotion.

Craig always seemed to have a level head about the direction of the park, so I think he'll definitely be a great asset to the company on a corperate level. I haven't met this Tim Fisher guy, but from what you guys are saying, he seems like a good person. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for this park.

We actually had a long conversation with Maureen about the White Christmas Express experience at Winterfest. Without going into any real detail, they did surveys about how people felt about the different attractions, and (at least my personal take on the convo) was that people wanted more lights. Take that for what it's worth.

If they removed the train station, it would be a clear shot back. They could work their way around WWC, not unlike how SFKK does it... have the midway run along the ride.
-
It did until about 5 years ago... much better ride now. I highly recommend it.
-
^ You do make a very good point. No one wants to see the train go, but there is a lot of very flat, very valuable land between the train station and CDBB.

Yeah, the video's a little past due, but give the boy some credit, this was his first one... and a darn good job I might add.

Being a claims rep, it would be difficult to imagine that the park or any park would put themselves into this type of situation. Yes, the injuries sustained would be as a result of actions taken by the plaintiff but if it is an action that is normal and customary, the park would be on it for liability. You're absolutely right. It would make for a very interesting court case. One one side, having your hands up is customary, but on the other side, there are clear signs asking you to keep your hands down.
