When PKI originally introduced to us Boomerang Bay back at the end of last season, one of the things that they said it would have was sand volleyball courts. Well, due to several different problems with the concept, they scratched it, but not in time to take it off of the map.

Where does it show your sand volleyball courts?

I'm not sure how the GP has reacted to Magic of the Movies Live, but I think the park has learned from its downsides and will put out a much better show next year. Just think, they dad a million dollar renovation this year, so they'll be able to do amazing things in the future.

What Do You Think About Nickelodeon Taking Over?
BoddaH1994 replied to docdude316's topic in KI Polls
I agree. i think the Nickelodeon thing is simply because PKI is 'family entertainment'. It would make since with the grouping. -
I have also heard that PKI and PCW were getting the same thing. Thursday night, we shall compare notes.

Dane and I are the illegitimate children on which Karen gets custody a few times a week. Todd as the little brother? Dane, do you realize that he's older than both of us?

This is a write in only poll. Ok, if we ask what the best investment is, you're all going to say The Beast. If we ask what ride to remove, then you'll all say none of them, so here is my question. With the exception of The Bat, what do you think is the worst investment PKI or KI has made in its history?

Addams Family... love that stuff, but I'm sure if they do Italian Job, it's going to be great.

How croded was it? How long were the waits?

Karen will get her day once she breaks a scooters cable and safely skids to a stop in Coney Mall. It's a matter of time.

This isn't asking which theme you think it is. I'm asking which one seems like it would be neater to you.

Crocodile Dundee's Boomerang Bay wasn't intended to be accurate or educational at all. Granted, a lot of the associations it has with Australia are a little steriotypical, but I think you'd find them "cute" as opposed to offensive. Welcome to the forums!

I would give anything ANYTHING for a PKI museum.

lol... good question, but my guess is no. Those tubes are a lot bigger than they seem.

I had always heard that Ice was better than Fire.

Rumors have be circulating for months about the new ride being The Mummy-esque. I've never ridden it myself, but I've heard it's amazing. Also, rumor has it that whatever we are going to get is going to be a "people eater" so capacity should be good for the ride. I rode a wild mouse at Kennywood that sat 4 per train. They would stack about 3 at a time and be able to pump through people at a reasonable rate. Of course, it's a smaller park with a smaller scale, but I think if they can be reasonable with 16 or so per car, it can be pretty good. Plus, they also can be innovative and load on both sides or whatever. Also, since we are making the assumption of this being something like Return of the Mummy, can someone please elaborate on the ride? I know the themeing is great, but what about the elements of the ride? Can someone give details? Edit: Ok, I went on RCDB and found out some details about Mummy. 4:00 ride time... not bad, 3 LIM launches.. definitely cool... $40,000,000 to build?? Can Paramount spring that kind of money to make a ride as amazing as that? We'll just have to see. That's double the cost of TTD, to put it in perspective. Of course, it could be nothing like Mummy for all we know.

There is probably a clue in every line. Read very closely.

Kings Island open five extra operating days this summer! PKI recently added FIVE more days to the operating calendar! Both the park and Crocodile Dundee's Boomerang Bay will now be open August 23 – 27th from 10am – 8pm. Not originally on the operating schedule, these five bonus days should be a great time to visit the Park because not everyone will be aware we're open! Buy tickets at our web site and save $10.00! Please note: these are limited operating days and as a result, some attractions may not be open. Source: PKI Newsletter

The magic show was the first time I was really impressed by a show since KI became PKI. I also really enjoyed the Stunt Show last year. You took the words out of my mouth. I loved the stunt show last year and I was really hoping that they'd do something similar this year. I guess the parade was the touring attraction this year. If they could have both of those at once, it would an insane amount of entertainment. Oh yeah, Tuned In. Saw the show. It was impressive and PKI was very fortunate to have such a talented group of preformers. If you haven't seen the show, check it out.

A Look Inside The Chippery
BoddaH1994 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I say give it a shot. He's willing to give some samples, so there could be a flavor that tickles your fancy. Personally, I'm a big fan of the sea salt and the white cheddar. If you like the chips, go ahead and spring the money for the dips too because they are amazing. The chili dip is the best. Goes great with BBQ chips. Shaggy, I do have empathy with your thinking that the food seems overpriced. Personally, I think most of the food at the park is ridiculous, and the Chippery is simply no exception. At the same time, when you got your fries, you had no idea about their past. You know... the fact that frozen fries came out of a bag that was within a cardboard box, then cooked in extremely unhealthy oil.. You never know how old those fries are. We're just used to the lack of quality, I suppose. The chips at the Chippery are made all day, every day. In the two hours I spend in the Chippery while working on this, I can personally testify that chips were constantly coming out of the oven, constantly being seasoned, constantly being bagged, and constantly being displayed and sold. My guess is that you wouldn't get a bag of chips that's more than a half hour old (just an estimate). Also I should mention that the flavors of chips that we mentioned in the article as being available and what is displayed on his menu is inconsistent. All of the flavors are available upon request, they're just not displayed. -
I'm here to tell you about a true American tale. It's a story about two brothers named Bret and Zach who decided to follow a dream and open up their own shop. Almost all of us are aware of the Chippery (if you aren't, SHAME) but PKICentral.com is proud to bring you INSIDE the Chippery! How did it start? How does it work? How much does it cost? What flavors are available? I personally went one on one with Bret Robins, the owner of the Chippery, to find out how it works, how it started, and most importantly, what's so special about the Chippery?? Click here to read my exclusive interview with Bret. Regards, Ryan I would like to thank Bret for his time spend with me while I compiled the necessary pics and information for this editorial. Bret's desire to served delicious food to informed customers is very noble.

Yeah, this is big, we're not just going to post about it.

Do bears poop in the woods? Of course we'll have coverage of it!

It's not only patrons from PKI. It's also the major conferences that it could attract. I mean, it would look great for a company it have a conference in Mason, and be able to bring the wife and kids along too.

Thanks for the input, but it's our policy here on PKIC to leave threads open unless they are absolutely out of hand. I mean, what if someone else had something to share with us? If you want threads to be closed after 15 mins, you know where to go.
