  1. <<The Tennis Court Phone Number, we had to guess 867-5309 (lol) 651- 2872.>> He told you to use the telescope on the tower to get it off the building. <<There is a car in the park somewhere, who owned the car? It's found in The Paramount Story.>> The Godfather car, right when you walk in. >Answer to Question Thirty: The employee’s guess, and others around us, said 12, so we used that. I think it's 10.>> I think it's 12 <<What coaster has a memorial plaque at the entrance? Oh boy. We guessed Racer. Adventure Express.>> It's on a rock to the right of the entrance.
  2. Nice, you do something that you KNOW is illegal and against park policy, and you flaunt it somewhere where you know people from the park will read it. This reminds me of an episode of Cops where a criminal breaks into a toy store and ends up getting caught under something, and calls 911 for help, thus turning himself in.
  3. Oh come on, "Ladies and Gentelmen, welcome to the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower stands 313ft, which is roughly 1/3 the size of the real tower, located in Paris, France... blah blah blah blah blah" It should never get old!
  4. Aww.. it's all in good fun. The "demoted" joke dates back to when I saw the Rickster working at Quick Draw's Railway....
  5. Unlikely. We didn't hit HBL until long after the parade, and we got there just in time to see it start. When we rode Deli, I was looking for you, but obviously you were demoted to HBL . Better luck next time! Ryan
  6. You've heard the phrase "The best of Hollywood entertainment, now playing" countless times this season. It's their catch phrase, not unlike "Let yourself go!" or "Where the magic of the movies meets the thrills of a theme park" as we have seen in years past. Does PKI really live up to this claim? It's a pretty large claim to say that you're the best at anything. Yes, PKI lives up to their claim. The Nickelodeon Celebration Parade was a BIG hit! The parade was more exciting and entertaining than we had ever imagined that it would have been. This fiesta of floats, dancers, music, and livelihood is simply a reminder that, even if your days of play may be long over, and you have children of your own, you are still just a big kid. This new attraction reestablishes what to expect from Paramount Parks' in house entertainment. Perhaps it is finally time for that little mouse that has been sitting pretty down in Florida for all of these years to finally get scared. Click here to check out 53 awesome pics of the parade, but by all means, check it out for yourself!! Regards, Ryan Dane and I would like to thank Jeff Siebert, Maureen Boothe, Kimberly Tannnnney, and of course "Mr. Asset" Steve (come on Steve, you knew it was coming!) from PKI's marketing for letting us hang out with them during the parade. As always, the pleasure was all on our side of the toboggan!
  7. Sounds close.. where are you coming from?
  8. Although that would be cool, we still don't really know that.
  9. 71N until I see the 1/3 size replica of the Eiffel Tower, then I'm done. Browntggrr, I saw your perspective of the tower and DZ coming from the north for the first time last week. It's a totally different experience than coming from the south. From the south, you can see DZ and the Tower, next thing you know, you can see everything, while from the north, you see DZ and the tower WAY off in the distance, and then they disappear and reappear with the rest of the park.
  10. I really hope that it's a success. My only concern is that it could cause congestion on busy days.
  11. THIS JUST IN: According to Dane, the parade will NOT follow the route stated above. Apparently it has been changed to the following: From The Racer acces gate, down Coney Mall towards the front of the park, through left turn at Basketballs to infront of the tower, than roars into Hanna Barberra, goes around in Nick Central to The Beasttie gate. This has not been confirmed, so we'll just have to wait and see!
  12. Ok, the Nickelodeon Parade starts this Saturday. I haven't seen a lot of information come from the park, so I thought I'd give the important details here. First of all, the Nickelodeon Parade will run from 7/17 through 8/15. The parade will start this Saturday at 5:00 and run through 5:30. I am not entirely certain that this will be the time that it's going to run every day, but it's definitely presumable. The parade route is as follows: Click here for the map The parade route follows the dotted line (yeah yeah yeah... it's hard to see). Anyway, as you can see, it starts at The Beastie, travels through HBL, grazes International Street, and ends up in Rivertown near Tomb Raider. Hope to see you guys there! Ryan
  13. I would make it so anyone who has a season pass could get someone else in at a reduced price. I always want to bring friends up there who are not passholders to show them around, but 42.99 is just a little to steep for them. This way, it would almost be like free advertising for the park.
  14. Speaking of which, how was that huge bottle of wine? lol... my parents killed that, but it's ok because my dad gave me a big 'ol bottle of Wild Turkey 101 as a b-day present. I had had the wine in the past, and it's really fruity and tart.
  15. I turned 21 on the first annual PKIC off season meeting day on January 18th. Beer for me.
  16. If you are referring to it being a sign of possible removal, I'd have to think again. Now, the only indirect implication that it could make would be the possiblity that the pump broke and they refuse to fix it for a particular reason... then again, rumor had it that they were going to announce their removal at Beastbuzz and it never happened. At the same time, maybe the word got too far out on these sites about an announcement at Beastbuzz and they put a halt to it in order to make people question the integrity of these sites... who knows.
  17. Although the picture with the yellow restraints was the promotional picture used by Paramount Parks before the construction of Delirium, the ride in picture is NOT Delirium at all. Look at it closely, I think it's some kind of old flat ride.
  18. They are the Flying Eagles. If you go there for the last hour of the night, you'll undoubtedly see PKIC people there if you are interested. Do not miss: Delirium, Tomb Raider, White Water Canyon... If you hit Crocodile Dundee's Boomerang Bay, make sure you try out our new Coolangatta Racers as well as Tasmanian Typhoon! Ryan
  19. The only respectable ones on there are Cedar Point, Carowinds, and Kennywood.
  20. 1. I'd say $20 and up for an adult size shirt. 2. Yes, top of my head guess would be between $5-$7 3. They have a metal replica of the Eiffel Tower which is $13, I think. 4. Vortex, Beast, SOB, Flight of Fear, Top Hat's Taxi Jam, Wild Thornberry's, Beastie (maybe even a few more) have ORPs, expect to dish out at least $10, but they had different packages including keychains, 8x10s, etc. 5. It matter which days you go. If you're going in the middle of the week, it would be possible to hit a good percentage of the park before 5:00, but if you go on a weekend, if you go all day, you may only ride 10 things. I'd say with a best case scenario, yes, you could at least ride everything that appealed to you. 6. You meet at the ACE block on International St. around 9:30AM. When you enter the park, you'll see three flags (America, Ohio, PKI) to the right. The ACE block is at the base of them. When you go there, a memeber from PKI's PR will come and walk you to The Beast. It's kind of neat because that's one of your only opportunities to see Oscar's (the employee eatery)! I hope this helps, I encourage you to ask as many questions as you need to. Regards Ryan
  21. hmmm... interesting, they'd probably have to seperate the line before you get on the ride and all of the white males would have a 300ft plunge towards the ground while everyone else had an amazing coaster voyage.
  22. It's always good to hear you guys screw around a little on the microphone. I mean, there is a line, you just need to know where it is. Brad mentioned that he would say that The Beast goes upside down an amazing 0 times, which is totally appropriate. I once heard a ride op on Tomb Raider say something along the lines of "...and enjoy the rest of your day here at Paramount's Kings Island, home of Rugrats Runaway Reptar!" Now, was what he said untrue? No. Was it inappropriate? No. Was it ironic and worth a chuckle? Yes.
  23. In years past, they used to have monsters jump out at you on random midways (especially Coney "Maul" and International Street as mentioned before) but that didn't happen last year. The attractions set for Fearfest every year are officially about a PG13 rating, but I think your 9 year old will be fine. Now, with the 5 year old, it depends on whether or not he or she has a grasp on what's real, and what's make believe. It's really kind of up in the air at that age. Nothing in the haunted houses is really offensive beyond what you would expect to find in a conventional haunted house. I hope you have fun! Ryan
  24. One possible solution for items left on coasters would be to have three different sets of shelves, one for each train. The the ride ops could tell if someone grabbed an item that clearly wasn't theirs. Of course, people have the IQs of carpet samples and putting something on a shelf that has a number on it which happens to be the same numbers as printed on the side of the train is far too lofty a concept for a lot of people.... epecially the basket ball bouncers.
  25. It's a shame that they can't do what they do for the Garfield ride at Kennywood. They collect your glasses at a spot before you even get off the ride.. if you don't turn it in, they KNOW it.
