  1. Dude, he has his own site. He's not ours.
  2. Just because it wasn't officially released doesn't mean that it's not known. I mean, last year we were pretty sure about some kind of water park expansion in late June or so, and knew the name of it about a week and a half before they announced it. It's a matter of hearing it through the grapevine. Sit tight, children, it will come soon!
  3. It's called the "Fun and Safety Guide", people. I went to the park today with my boss and his kid sufferes from CP. The Fun and Safety Guide at each ride was extremely helpful in indicating whether or not a ride would be recommended for a patron of special needs or not. On a side note, if you are ever in a situation in which you are with a person who is handicapped, you can go to GR and get a pamphlet and it will tell you very specific regulations as to what the individual will need to be able to do in order to ride. For most of the rides, you simply need upper body control, though. Ryan
  4. It's really hard to say what that could be. It's possible that you happen to be allergic to some kind of treatment that PKI uses in the water, but the Beach does not. I would contact the park and ask them.
  5. I have ridden it many times, and I have never felt strain on my back. It kind of makes me wonder if we have a welfare qeen on our hands.. I mean, what are the chances that BOTH would get hurt?
  6. I'm glad to hear that you had a good time at the park. Did they check your ACE ID for the walkback? From what I understand, they never do, and it's more or less public domain. I agree that The Vortex isn't as rough as they make it out to be. It's also too bad that SOB was down. Although it is far from my favorite, it's still a must-do.
  7. The floats are on tour, the actors and actresses are not.
  8. Well, three different possibilities, if it were cold out or raining, then the Paramount Theatre would be cool, if it were during the summer, then I would either choose the International Bandstand or International Showplace.
  9. Welcome to the forums! You guys do an amazing job!
  10. Although I do agree that they would never scrap a plan just because it leaked, I think that they didn't announce the Tiques at Beastbuzz because the rumor was too rampid.
  11. lol... nah, that quote didn't cost him anything. The reason why he said that was because he was talking about how they do their expansions based on how the general public reacts to the surveys and I jokingly said, "Nah, not me. I used reverse psychology!" He didn't just say it out of the blue. I'm surprised the quote became so big anyway. Topple Tower - Just trust me, that's a big no. Italian Job - I have heard many many rumors about that, but remain skeptical. Not two mention the fact that only two months ago, everyone was SURE that we were getting an Addams Family coaster, and that rumor quickly died. Granted, I'm pretty sure that a coaster is in our horizon, and I'd be shocked if the Italian Job wasn't a part of it, but like I said, it's best to remain skeptical. Rumors getting leaked - Yeah, I doubt that Siebert or Ross is going around telling anyone what's going to happen, but there is always the chance that there was someone down the line who wasn't exactly trustworthy who got their hands on that info. I mean, for the past several years, at least one of the rumors has been at least remotely accurate, so it's a matter of filtering through fact and fiction. By the way, welcome to PKIC!
  12. Headed to the park myself tonight. I did the old 8-11 shift. The park was crowded. Really crowded. First ride: The Beast. I was with my friend Coach, and he had never experienced The Beast at night. We paid for it... every single queue was in use. Still wasn't bad because we only waited an hour or so. Second Ride: Scooters. Always a snap fest. I met up with Todd, Todd, Todd, Todd, Todd, Todd, James, and Ron. (If you are familiar with the group, you get the Todd joke). We took a rather violent and successful spin on the flyers. It's kind of odd because right when I we entered the park, I was telling Coach about how hard Coasterdime can snap. We make the turn around Preston T. Tucker's, and we see a tub whip sideways and hear the loudest crashing noise ever. Sure enough, it was him. We headed to FoF, but the line was 45mins... and what can I say? I want to ride something NOW! So we aborted. Ride three: Adventure. I love how it looks now with all the lights. Hat's off to Tech Services. Ride four: Tomb Raider. The line didn't reach quite outside the cave by this point in the night (5 mins before close). They skipped the first chamber and let us directly into the room where you watch the film. When we rode the ride, it had a different feel to it... I mean, the program was the same, but it just felt more thrilling than usual. Maybe even longer. I may be going crazy. One thing I did notice for sure was the fog at the very end of the program (the one that has the red light shining into it) went off three differet times at the end of the cycle. The topspin was at the neutral position during the last one and it filled the room with mist. I don't know if the ride ops were screwing with us somehow (although I don't think they can do that) because it was the last ride of the day, or if it's part of the program now. Regardless, it was awesome! The mist made it hard to see in there (especially with the red lights on it). Definitely a great way to end the ride! At this point, I went home. Ryan
  13. The Character Breakfast was held in the Festhaus and was available to the first 1000 gold pass holders (I believe). I think they shouldn't have taken out the Nickelodeon show. I mean, it may have sagged in popularity, but all you need to do is have a better utilization of the stage, rather than gut the whole thing and have a glorified shelter. Granted, having a shelter for meet and greet is better than having a vacant structure, I just think that there could have been something put there that would have entertained the kids. Ryan
  14. How would you rate Magic of the Movies Live?
  15. There were several fights, and it just all around got out of hand. Don't expect to see Xtended Play anytime soon.
  16. Welcome to PKIC! I hope you enjoy your visit to PKI. For any information you may need, click on "park info" on the top bar. That'll supply you with general park info, as well as nearly 1000 pics of the park itself. If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask. Regards, Ryan PKIC staff
  17. RCDB is a pretty trustworthy source, and makes no mention of the Bavarian Beetle being moved from PKI to another park, so I'm willing to say that it became the chassie of someone's '88 Buick Skylark.
  18. Ah, you've got to love it when Maureen posts, becuase she's always a bringer of good news! I have had my eye on some merch, which I thought was priced fairly anyway, but if you're going to twist my arm and force me to pay less than $10 for everything.... I guess I have to. Once again, thank you for the info! Ryan
  19. Those steps weren't closed until about 1990, I remember as a little kid being able to go up them. I miss that some. Is there a real reason why they were closed? I'm assuming that it was because of people throwing and spitting thing from them. It must have been interesting to be on a starecase 200+ ft in the air making your way to the top... Ryan
  20. Once again, I have added some more photos that I found but never uploaded. These included general park photos as well as a few from the events at media day. Click here to check them out! Ryan
  21. I believe that Beastbuzz thing was just a rumor that got out of hand. Don't be surprised if the announcement isn't much of anything. Just remember that Tomb Raider announcements in which it was something like. Announcement 1: "Tomb Raider: The Ride!" Announcement 2: "Tomb Raider: The Ride will be a dark ride!" Announcement 3: "Tomb Raider: The Ride will be a submersive dark ride!" It's drawn out without giving you any details to make sure that you stay tuned. Ryan
  22. Yes, it was a terrible situation. Let's just put it behind us. All that's important is that it's not going to happen again.
  23. I really don't know. All I know is that he was in a restricted area.
  24. It's cancelled. It's not going to happen. Don't go to the park Friday expecting to see DJ Whatever becasue it's not going to happen. That's the bottom line. Ryan
  25. I'm really not sure, but it sounds like a rumor. My guess is that he fell down the elevator shaft.
