  1. They simply switched from Clearchannel (WEBN) to Infinity Radio (Q102, WGRR, etc)
  2. I've heard from many many people this past month that the Eiffel Tower was going to be removed within the next two years. ....and they just got new elevators?
  3. Does clock stop when the park isn't open to the GP? I went up for their 9/11 thing on Friday and noticed that the clock was stuck in the 1:00 position. I have video of it from my digital camera if anyone is interested.
  4. The Jason thing in the Paramount Theatre seems intersting too. You know that Daneish and I will be up there the first day, so just read our reviews and then decide.
  5. It's really hard to define. Let's just say that it will be much much much much better than last year.
  6. I have a strange feeling that it will be returned to its glory days this year....
  7. PKI still does have a chef, and he's not dead. A lot of employees go up there for different reasons. They store all sorts of things up there that the associates retreive from time to time. More than likely, that's what you saw.
  8. Interactive features? Now is this like a totally interactive menu-new features, or an easier-to-navigate homepage-new features, or things we haven't seen before?
  9. I don't know, Dane. They seem to love this version of PKIC, but you know what they say, the 3rd time's a charm.
  10. Although that is a good idea, from what I understand coasters have to me very fine specifications in order to run backwards. It's simply dangerous to have a ride go backwards when it's impossible to predict sudden moves.
  11. PKIC is proud to present to you two amazing new videos! The first is a rare one; it’s an amazing video of the now-gone FLIGHT COMMANDER from opening day 1990 at the debut of this legendary Intamin machine. Click here to see that amazing video from PKIC and the History of Kings Island Yahoo Group., or go Park Info> Park History> Miscellaneous The 2nd one is Zosobeasts’s first contribution since becoming a staff member on this site. It’s a video of the sky-jumpers from PKI’s tribute to 9/11 on 9/10/04. This awesome patriotic video has two jumpers with a large American flag and really neat pyrotechnics. Click here to check it out! Or go Park Info> Park Videos Regards, Ryan
  12. I think it's a basketball too... Can't reallly tell with Fuji quality, now can you?
  13. I don't remember them having anything in Rivertown in the past. Mainly Coney Mall. Dane's right, though. I'm sure PKI realizes that Fearfest wasn't the best experience last year, and they seem to know what they're doing, so I can't wait to see the improvements made this year. I think they'll take leaps in the right direction.
  14. I took the pic and I still have no clue. It can't be a defect. It's clearly an object with a reflection in the water.
  15. Jonah's right. We love the support that you guys give us, and we try to give you what you want, but any topic like this will hit the fan fast. Thanks again for the support! Closing...
  16. On September 10th of 2004, PKI made a historically noble act. They opened their doors to the public for free as a humble thank you to the hometown heros in the emergency service as well as to pay tribute to those who acted, and sometimes died bravely during the attacks of 9/11. Today wasn't about dropping 264ft, or riding the tallest, fastest, only looping wooden coaster on Earth, it was a somber event that included displays made by the local first responders as well as a moving tribute in the Paramount Theatre. The day was capped off by two jumps by an acrobatic skydiver which featured pyrotechnics and a huge American flag. If you missed this event, you really missed something special. Hopefully it will come around again next year so it can be enjoyed by everyone. Hats off to PKI for such a noble gesture. Click here to see pics from the even, including even more Fearfest theming that has just been added! Oh yeah, and just for the sake of not getting a million posts about it, there's nothing to report on the new sign. Regards, Ryan PKIC Staff Firefighter, Edgewood KY
  17. Ok, so it was bad last year. The promos look promising. Give it a shot! Especially with that Jason thing.
  18. In northern KY, we got tons of rain.
  19. If they do go with the Spongebob idea, let's just hope that the themeing is up to par and not SDATHC-esque. I was really disappointed with that.
  20. They probably seriously replace them with lawnmotor engine parts.
  21. Don't forget that if they do ever use these concepts, it will probably we way down the road and will be changed over and over again before finalization.
