The Beast had some air time why back in the 1990's till the lap bar came. Now it does not have any. Also The Racers had air time.
-
All the trains in the Paramount parks came from Crown. They all ran on natural gas. You might be thinking of Six Flags. P.S. Kings Island is the only park left that has a full size train in the park.

Dumbest Rumors Ever Heard
Vortex replied to RailRider's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Cedar Point is going to buy Kings Island. lol -
Some of the Hanna Barbera attactions will be open. Also the Nick stage area will be used so that does not leave alot of time for a Nick coaster or retheme. Winter Fest just might be the new thing for 2005 and 2006. Some flats will be open not alot of them but some. Most of the flats that will be open have a roof.
-
I will be going to Winter Fest this year. I was at the last Winter Fest in 1992 had alot of fun. Yes parking was free KI had a sign thank you for the summer visit here is your gift at the gate. The gift was free parking.
-
I would be fine with no ride at all. Looking back on Kings Island past they put small things in before a big ride or coaster. Like no big ride in 1978 and 1980 wonder why that was?
-
Not to sure it was all closed up when I was at the park. Wounder if something is moving in.
-
It might take alot longer I am very busy with work and a upgrade is needed on the computer. Talk to you later.
-
Their is alot of room for another big coaster next to SOB and Top Gun.
-
what about Indiana Beach they are clearing land? PKI could get a coaster just not sure if Shaggy was talking about PKI this time.
-
If a PKIC staff person would PM I might be able to help out.
-
The flash video is great just add a stop buttion so we don't keep having to hear it every time you come to the home page.
-
Thats what I was thinking why have a press conference just to say Winter Fest is back unless PKI is also going to say what to new ride is for 2006. I don't think its a coaster. Shaggy is talking about another park.
-
Nothing is left of the Sky Ride that I know about. I bet all the footers have long been gone. Who knows PKI might have a Ski Ride Tub put away some where or they sold them. Their is not alot left of Old Kings Island or Coney Island now days.
-
I wounder if anything else will be said at the announcement?
-
The monorail operated for two not one season with Top Gun. The next season you had to walk in the monorail station area to get to the line for Top Gun thats why the line is so long today. Also the other stop on the Ski Ride was a gift shop before the King Cobra was built. The exit area for the coaster used to be home to a Elephant that you could take a ride on. Okay I am showing my age now.

I'm sure Cedar Fair put alot of money into Hercules at Dorney Park and we all know what happened there.... The should take some of SOB down and rebuilt it to make another wooden coaster. Coney Island in Cincinnati did this alot. The last ride they did this to was The Pippen and rebuilt into the Shooting Star.
-
Anyone else not felt the fish tailing and bumping that PKI promised? That was a very big let down for me. Also the ride is way to short more a wild mouse that goes fast. While the people that went with me that do not like coasters love the ride. The others that did like coaster where thats its I was in line for this.
-
Not to sure if Kings Island would put another coaster in right after opening one. While Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom has not had a major ride in a long time.
-
If and if they do make a name change it will be in the offseason. Also if you goto the gift shops they are selling PKI shirts that look alot what the employes have on.
-
Sorry to hear the Parade is very bad this year. Its a shame you go to them parks for shows, and rides that you can not see any where else. So do you think it would be a good idea to save my money till the parade is out of the park?
-
That does not work all the time. On my secound ride of the day my legs hurt so bad I had to sit down. I am 5'11 while I have had some problems the coaster cars are way to small for the publics leg room. If PKI found a way to make just a little more leg room I think alot more people would love this coaster.
-
So if they do drop the Paramount moniker. Which old Kings Island logo would you what back? The one from the 1970's or the one from the 1980's? I would like to see a redesign of the old 1970's logo that they had showing off at Coney Island before it closed. How many people really say hey who whats to go to Paramounts Kings Island? All my friends just call it Kings Island they could care less who owns the place. Also if they do have a name change would this site be call Kings Island Central?
-
Well PKI might not be any more, but the classic Kings Island name might come back with Paramount themes still in the park. Also it would be nice to see the park with just the old name and not a Paramount's (name of ride or park) infront of it.
-
No they dont. Gemini has steel tack and wooden supports. Its still a hybrid coaster. Sure PKI and CP have steel hybrids with wooden supports and steel track. Has anyone been on Tiwisted Siter/ Tiwisted Tiwns? at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom? Its a okay coaster small and good.
