  1. Yeah, don't ask the Dippin' Dots guy. He is full of crap. Now the Cabana Lady, she chaulk-full of secret information! I personally stand at the observation deck of the Eiffel Tower after scanning the area for new construction. I haven't been there in a while, but with the footers being poured behind Crypt, you could get a good idea of the layout.
  2. You like Chaos huh? That is one of two rides (the other being Tilt-a-Whirl) I am very happy to watch my wife and kids ride from a comfy park bench. I just know how to avoid the gulls...
  3. ^ I can't hear you. What did you say?
  4. Sounds like you had a good time despite some rides being down. From what I have heard, Raptor had a issue with the lift. It is rumored that they were replacing the lift chain since it took so long to fix. And issues with Raptor are rather unique. I can only remember a handful of times it was down, and most of those issues had to do with wind. I am also assuming that it was an "emergency" repair due to the time of year. Besides Halloweekends, the couple weeks around the 4th of July are traditionally the busiest weeks of the season. And from some of the wait times you described, it seems the same way this year. As far as Witches Wheel goes; apparently the entire ride just stopped while in the up position. It is back in service. And in response to the rude ride op in front of TTD: yeah I have ran into those ops before. While they should not have that type of attitude no matter what, I would not want their job of telling a guest every 15 seconds that the ride is down, and they have no idea what is wrong with it. Nice TR.
  5. Those pics were taken by KIC's own Gordon Bombay some time ago.
  6. I wish my mother-in-law was that way!
  7. ^ Yeah, now here is the kicker: Japan has strict regulations that all available areas of coaster track have a cat-walk to walk safely off. And in this particular accident, when the axle broke causing the train to derail, it sent some of the coaster cars right into the cat-walk that you see in the pictures. You can also see from the RCDB pics that practically the entire coaster as a cat-walk available.

  11. How will Busch sale affect Williamsburg brewery, amusement parks? http://www.inrich.com/cva/ric/news/busines...07-14-0180.html
  12. That is really funny! Press release: http://www.anheuser-busch.com/Press/PressI...S%20RELEASE.pdf
  13. So your reliable sources were giving you estimates? That just doesn't make any sense. Wouldn't your reliable sources be giving you exact numbers and not estimates? What is that term about bliss... I never said that my reliable sources were giving me the estimates. If you want estimates just go to any Kings Dominion fansite. Also Cedar Fair dosnt let attendance records out usually until the end of a season. As I said before im just reporting on some interesting information that I thought people would like to here. OK, you have me lost. Exactly what did your reliable sources tell you since you brought them up?

  15. Kings Dominion is a great park if you know what rides to go on and when. A lot of people perfer it over Kings Island.(yes I mean a lot) So what if people like KD over KI? What does that have to do with anything? The issues I have with KD have nothing to do with when to go on the rides, and we went on all of them that were new to us. And, this may be a shock to you, a park is more than just rides.
  16. Honestly, KK is not NEARLY as bad as Paris Hilton. But all this talk reminded me of a couple older, fantastic looking women: http://www.ann-margret.com/ http://www.sophialoren.org/
  17. You and Interp just dated yourselves. But bringing up Annette reminded me of something:
  18. Not sure if this was posted before, but, Press release dated 7/7/08 on the purchase of AB by InBev. http://www.anheuser-busch.com/Press/ABConsentSol.html I guess that $5/ share increase is exactly what it took to get the deal done.
  19. That's Hot? Man, you need to get out more. Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Alba, Sarah Michelle Gellar (in Cruel Intentions) or Mariah Carey 15 years ago... now they are FREAKIN HOT! KK is just "hot".
  20. CNN was doing a story yesterday about the $70/ share offer and the potential for AB to be owned by a foriegn company. I was surprised on the bitter taste it was leaving in people's mouths. I, for one, hope that this deal does not go through (even though the likelihood is about 99% that it will). For my own ulterior motives; I love the Busch parks and would hate to see them owned/ operated by someone else. AB has done such a great job with the parks, it is unthinkable that someone else can do better.
  21. While I do agree that it depends on how mature a child is, people's opinion vary so much when it comes down to their own kid, setting an age limit would be easier for a park. For instance, both of my daughters are playing soccer. One mother on the opposing team was screaming at her kid: "COME ON JACKIE. YOU ARE BETTER THAN THAT! THIS IS NOT YOUR FIRST YEAR! YOU CAN BEAT THAT KID" Mind you, the age group is 7-8.
  22. Who it their right ******* mind would do that to a kid?
