  1. Kings Dominion is a great park if you know what rides to go on and when. A lot of people perfer it over Kings Island.(yes I mean a lot) So what if people like KD over KI? What does that have to do with anything? The issues I have with KD have nothing to do with when to go on the rides, and we went on all of them that were new to us. And, this may be a shock to you, a park is more than just rides.
  2. Honestly, KK is not NEARLY as bad as Paris Hilton. But all this talk reminded me of a couple older, fantastic looking women: http://www.ann-margret.com/ http://www.sophialoren.org/
  3. ^ Which, unlike the GL decision, would truly be a crime....
  4. You and Interp just dated yourselves. But bringing up Annette reminded me of something:
  5. Not sure if this was posted before, but, Press release dated 7/7/08 on the purchase of AB by InBev. http://www.anheuser-busch.com/Press/ABConsentSol.html I guess that $5/ share increase is exactly what it took to get the deal done.
  6. That's Hot? Man, you need to get out more. Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Alba, Sarah Michelle Gellar (in Cruel Intentions) or Mariah Carey 15 years ago... now they are FREAKIN HOT! KK is just "hot".
  7. CNN was doing a story yesterday about the $70/ share offer and the potential for AB to be owned by a foriegn company. I was surprised on the bitter taste it was leaving in people's mouths. I, for one, hope that this deal does not go through (even though the likelihood is about 99% that it will). For my own ulterior motives; I love the Busch parks and would hate to see them owned/ operated by someone else. AB has done such a great job with the parks, it is unthinkable that someone else can do better.
  8. While I do agree that it depends on how mature a child is, people's opinion vary so much when it comes down to their own kid, setting an age limit would be easier for a park. For instance, both of my daughters are playing soccer. One mother on the opposing team was screaming at her kid: "COME ON JACKIE. YOU ARE BETTER THAN THAT! THIS IS NOT YOUR FIRST YEAR! YOU CAN BEAT THAT KID" Mind you, the age group is 7-8.
  9. Who it their right ******* mind would do that to a kid?
  10. How old do you think kids should be allowed into the park without an adult? Personally, my parents would let me and a friend go off by ourselves and then check-in every so often. But they would stay at the park themselves. I'm talking about parents that drop their kids off at the park and then pick them up later.
  11. That brings up an intresting question. How old is "old enough" to be at the park by yourself? Perhaps I'll make this a poll....
  12. If the kid was not wearing a $hitsburgh Cheaters shirt, the accident probably would not have happened. Joking aside, that picture of the car looked pretty bad. He is lucky that it was only a minor injury.

  20. Is it just me, or is the section with "Today's Birthdays" missing?
  21. I feel the same way. The first time I went to PKD they had metal detectors. After going to PKI so many times, I was rather shocked to see them at another Paramount Park. The first thing that came to my mind was: "What happened here that they need metal detectors?" It was shortly after that PKI had them as well. I believe they started to use the wands when racial tensions were high in the Cincy area (2000-2001?), and then the walk-through style came prior to the 2003 season. And in all reality, if someone really wants to get something in that is prohibited by the park (gun, knife, drug paraphanalia etc.), it would not be that hard. I am still surprised that all NFL stadiums do not have metal detectors. Currently, I get patted down to my waist before entering Cleveland Browns Stadium.
