  1. Wow... This looks to be a great family attraction. I would have liked to see the Mr. Potato Head animatronic more.
  2. The resorts benefit at CP is only for a limited number of rides as well: http://resorts.cedarpoint.com/public/benefits.cfm It is possible that the reason why Beast, SoB and Firehawk are not part of the ERT is due to the daily safety inspections for each ride. Obviously, we all know about the type of inspections that SoB & Beast go through since they are wood coasters, but FH could be difficult to inspect as well due to the restraint system.
  3. That is the exact reason Mantis at CP went to a two train operation some years ago. It was impossible to hit the intervals consistantly with a 3 train operation. And it was not because of the crews, but more from the awkward seats & restraints used on a stand-up. But in this case, Vortex has had much success with a 3 train operation. The crews just need more experience to hit their intervals.
  4. I wonder if there are even enough people in that area to support such an expensive venture.

Given the facts that CF said they would not honor any capital investment over $20,000,000. I'm sure that companies go to parks on a monthly basis trying to sell their product. They would be fools not to do so. But until the contracts are signed, it is nothing more than a coaster company trying to sell their product. So far there is nothing pointing that Paramount had anything to do with Behemoth or KI's 2009 project, and all the facts point that CF planned for it all. And on top of that, do you actually believe that Paramount planned to add these attractions at the same time they were planning to sell the parks?

Perhaps I should have put it another way: Given the facts, neither Behemoth or KI's project were scheduled to be built by Paramount.

Yes the Canadian dollar is just over, if not equal to the American dollar today. Back when the transaction happened the Canadian dollar to the American dollar was 10 to 15%. But as we all know, there will be stipulations in a contract dealing with raw materials. The materials would have already been quoted a certain price the day of the contract signing. So, neither Behemoth or KI's project were scheduled to be built by Paramount.

Yes really. Behemoth was over $20,000,000. http://themeparks.about.com/od/rollercoast...BehemothPre.htm According to this: http://allenarena.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
  9. According to George Lucas, he did not like the "Revenge" title because he believed it to be a "dark" word. And Return of the Jedi was not meant to be a dark movie. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?f...&category0= Depending on what type of poster you have, it could be worth quite a bit.
  10. Oh yes. Tin roof. Rusted.

Well, the most this coaster could have been planned so far is about 22 months.

I would have to say Raptor has a rather severe left turn before it's initial descent.
  13. I believe that the alcohol in designated area policy has been gone for a few years now.
  14. Browntggrr replied to TheKlockster's topic in Rumors
I believe what they meant by too early is that track construction is still a ways away and the chances of already having track ready for KI's 2009 project is unlikely. On top of that, we still have no way of knowing if the 2009 project is even going to be a B & M. My opinion is that the only evidence that this could be for KI is that the track is red.

  18. Yup. I can remember a certain Iraqi, who currently just likes to hang around, invaded Kuwait. Gas prices jumped over $.20 in a matter of hours.
  19. Yeah, and I remember back in 2004 when gas was $1.85/ gal. It sucks on how things only seem to go up in price.

This track could still be for the new 2009 B & M being constructed at Mirabilandia in Italy.
  21. They really don't need to have wide open areas to keep building things. When both Maxair and Skyhawk were erected, it was hard to imagine the area with the proposed ride. But the rides fit quite nicely. The same idea goes with MF, and TTD. CP has also had Demon Drop for sale for a few years now, and located close to DD is DT, a ride that has seen it's better days. That is my guess for a new large ride location And as Intep mentioned, CP has plans to one day use the existing parking lot. CF owns a HUGE parcel of land right on Cleveland Rd. for future construction of a parking lot. Think about this: Do you really believe that CF would not already have a plan in place for their flagship park? A park that they have spent $79,000,000 just in new coasters since 2000. Or are they just going to come out one day and say:"Sorry folks, can't install new rides at CP, we have run out of room." I don't see that happening. EDIT- link did not work.
  22. It probably is not land clearing, but an overflow area for dirt and debris from the swan lake construction.
  23. Cedar Point is not even close to running out of room.
  24. Does it really matter how many posts you have? You should be more concerned about the quality of your posts than the quantity.
