  1. Yes, Knoxville, yum indeed. Lol. But it's a FPS on rails, so nothing the likes of Halo 2 I'm sorry to say. Also, as a sidenote to my statement, I'd like to anounce to all PKIC fans that a deal for Jeffrey Siebert: RELOADED has been reached, and the game will appear exclusively for PKIC early next year. The game will be of no charge, so all may enjoy it. A trailer for the Charles Infosino chapter of the game will be available soon.
  2. Some of you have expressed interest in Jeffrey Siebert: RELOADED the past few months, and have wondered when/if it will release. The answer is, yes, it will release, but unfortunately not this year. Though it is possible for the game to be completed by its original Christmas release, the game would not be up to par, and it could greatly benefit additional months of work and fine tuning. The game will release on either PKIC or PKIU depending on what the administration feels is best for it. The game's new release date is set to coincide with PKI's 2005 opening weekend, as the first release date was set for PKI's 2004 opening weekend, I understand how much this game has been delayed(exactly 1 year). I apologize to all those who want to play the game, and have seen numerous delays, this being the latest. These delays are in the best interest of game quality, and the lack of time I have to work on it. A trailer for the Infosino chapter of the game will hopefully be up soon on either PKIC or PKIU depending on the administrations decision for where the game's future lies. However, with PKIC now operating PKIU, whichever site the game ends up at, it will be free of charge so that all PKI, or amusement park, enthusiasts can enjoy it. Below is a brief summary of what to expect from RE Studios upcoming release, Jeffrey Siebert: RELOADED. -Jeffrey Siebert: RELOADED -Status: 65% complete -Maps: 192 so far(JSBA contained 25) -Playable Characters: 2 from the start with seperate adventures, additonal playable characters throughout the game -Gameplay Variety: Stealth, Driving, First Person Shooter, Adventure, Turn Based Battle System, Puzzle Solving, Survival Horror...to name a few -Multiplayer: Possibly -Game Engine: RPG Maker 2003 -2 Games in One: Jeffrey Siebert and Charles Infosino have seperate adventures, each also contain a training area available from the start of the game, and after completing the game a bonus game will be available for play -Release: Spring 2005 -Producer: RE Studios -Written and Directed by: Ryan Adams -Released for: PKIU/PKIC
  3. I agree. It is neat to think how many kids ride that ride today and their grandparents enjoyed it at Coney Island when they were children. The number of generations that have rode that ride is truly amazing, and I will miss it. If I end up having kids one day, it'd have been neat to think that in one of those tubs my dad tought me how to fly them, and now I'd be teaching my son how to. I can only hope that the park's other classic attractions are safe for atleast the next few years.
  4. Sad news. Not surprising though, PKI is trying to form a new image for themselves, that's why they built TR:TR and now IJST. Flying Eagles is a great ride, one I've loved all through my childhood and to this day, but many parks have them, just like the Antique Cars(even though a version of them will return for the kiddies most likely in 2006). I do have a problem with losing classic rides, since PKI prides itself on its variety and catering to everyone, taking the Eagles away will be very saddening for alot of people whose biggest ride they ride is the Eagles. I hope PKI either eventually buys a new one, preferable in addition to a few classic flats, and stocks Coney Mall up using the old rides as its primary theming. But eitherway, I think by 2006 PKI will have put in even more heavily themed attractions in addition to TRTR and IJST and we'll begin to see their plans take shape. I think PKI has a bright future, with the Eagles or not. Though I will miss them, they are not the only ones in the world. I just hope PKI eventually brings the park a similar ride or a new set of flyers, or at the least a new ride that the individuals who would ride nothing bigger than the flyers can enjoy.
  5. It would be a bad move on PKI's part to tear down a perfectly good theater. Come to think of it, whatever happened to The Backporch? Tearing down a bunch of HB Land rides to put in 1 new Nick Central ride wouild be a bad move on PKI's part too.
  6. Hot blacktop and Skyline Chili to name a couple.
  7. White Water Canyon's trough would make for an interesting haunted attraction, but I bet there are pipes that you can't see underneath the water line that would make it impossible to do.
  8. You do have to remember though, that most of the budget for Tomb Raider is being spent on keeping the ride itself operational. Hopefully when it's finally running smoothly, they'll have the time and money to repair those lost effects. Italian Job really doesn't have that many effects outside of the helicopter and explosions. The rest is just in-car effects.
  9. I personally don't want to see Flight of Fear rethemed, but I would like to see it get some theming inside the ride building, as well as maybe a soundtrack. I think if a Nick Central expansion takes place, it would be a good idea to tear down the Meet & Greet(which has been rumored I believe)and expand that way. In this way, if they want to further expand Nick Central, they can just remove some parts of Picnic Grove. And yes, I think it's very likely that PKI would build both the Spongebob Crash Course and the Nick Car Wash. They could just build one building, and have Spongebob use most of it and have it's entrance on one side, and then have the car wash use a little bit of the building and have its entrance on the other side. Also, the building could have lots of Nick Central theming on it to keep the area colorful. One other positive if they expand towards Picnic Grove is that Boomerang Bay will seem less detached from the park, seeing as Nick Central would stretch closer to the railroad crossing. As far as TR being rethemed, don't count on it. They've spent too much on merchandise under the name Tomb Raider: The Ride to switch the name, and it definetly won't be rethemed. Basically, I think Paramount Parks is just trying to find a way to use the actual ride part of TRTR without all the que line and preshow elements of it for other Paramount Parks. Similarly, it seems they want to make a walk through attraction that's similar to TRTR's que line, but has no ride, just more effects and probably a bit longer.
  10. Well, if you don't like getting scared, just go during the day. They have lots of really cool things for the kids and some nice theming to boot. Just be sure to leave before the park turns evil, which I might add is something I hope they return to doing. Back a couple years ago, when you had to pay to get into Fear Fest, if you rode rides during the day then bought your wristband you would see the park's tv screens say "STAND BY" and then they would start flashing with lighting sounds, and the park got darker and darker and foggier and foggier and monsters started coming out. They even had a recording that started out with this guy saying, "attention ladies and gentlemen, Fear Fest is about to begin..."and then his voice would get really deep and evil and it'd say"the scariest, most intense haunted attraction in the midwest". I thought it was really cool.
  11. I hate to burst your bubble but not everybody's idea of a good Fear Fest is some sissy halloween walk with Scooby and the gang. If you don't like blood and gore, don't go. PKI's trying to make it more intense and freakish, and I applaud them for it. The more fog, blood, dismembered limbs, and escaped mental patients the better. I can't wait for Fear Fest!
  12. I wish I could've been there to see it. Will the show in the Paramount Theatre continue through September? I'd really like to see it.
  13. I believe they may have used an actual photo of FoF and then put little lights and stuff around it digitally. That'd explain why the UFO is in the que line.
  14. Disney's system works very well if you use it wisely. In some parks, such as MGM Studios, where there are few good rides, one ride will become insanely FastPassed. For example, Tower of Terror, it has 2 loading areas(2 elevators per loading area)which you get to through either the left preshow or right preshow. So many people FastPass that ride that the right preshow and load area is dedicated to FastPass, which lengthens the standby line considerably, as well as slows it down. I'm not sure if DCA Tower of Terror dedicates a preshow to FastPass since I got to walk right on to it, and I must say, it's not as good as Florida's. Still probably the best thing in DCA though, even though that's not saying much.
  15. Hey, even though you've been tagged as some sort of pseudo-stalker by people on this site, I say good for you that you've found something really enjoy, and I'm sure the cast would be happy that someone really enjoys there show. I hope you have a great time!
  16. Yeah, I bet Tiques could've been themed really well for Winterfest. Too bad...Were they back in the original Winterfest?
  17. Since it seems like 2006 will be a Nick Central expansion, it wouldn't surprise me if Tiques returned as the Nick Toon Pike, which kids seem to love. However, I'd love to see it themed to something like Sleepy Hollow in the woods, that'd be really cool.
  18. Yeah, I thought the cars were going to use pneumatics as well, but apparently the track was/is going to have small bumps that the wheels will go over or rises and falls in the track to simulate going down the staircase. The vehicles could still have pneumatics or something similar on them though, since Jeff told me they were working on a fishtailing effect for the cars to do.
  19. Disney sucks? Well, everyone's entitled to their opinion, but dissing Disney just ain't right, especially when PKI's recent surge of rides has been inspired by many of their truly excellent attractions. Though I love PKI's theming, they can't touch Disney, and if you think they have, maybe you need to actual visit a Disney park. With that said, I hope PKI strives to reach that quality of theming, but Italian Job isn't going to be on the level of theme or technology of Test Track, but then again, it doesn't need to for the ride to still be funner than Test Track.
  20. Both Italian Job rides will be indentical.
  21. No bumps down the staircase? Then they shouldn't have advertised that it would, and that really dissapoints me because I thought that set it aside from most coasters. Hopefully they opt to still do it. The Addams Family concept did look really cool, and it seems like it got the most positive reponse out of all of the rides, so hopefully we'll see it here at PKI in the next few years.
  22. PKI Beast, the ride has 2 launches, but there is a boost somewhere throughout the ride, so I believe the park refers to it as having 3 launches.

    Pkd Vs. Pki

^^ Yeah, PKD does have those 2 excellent rides, I'd love for PKI to have them. I heard they looked into building Volcano, but the cost was just too much(building the Volcano itself, which PKD already had before they build the coaster), but it seems like Hypersonic will remain PKD only, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it almost always down? Still, a cool ride, with some theming it could really be incredible.
  24. Wow, that looks great! I had no idea they were making the tunnel section so long! Way to go PKI/PCW!
