Think Hanson in the 90's, or Hanna Montana to be more recent, and you have the target audience of The Naked Bros. Band. Try getting this song out of your head: "MmBop" by Hanson.

*Jots down date and puts notation next to it- Do NOT go to park on this date!*

Remember: Treat the park as your own, and it will change. If only everyone did this.....

The information posted about me is completely false.

Slander is a horrible thing to be put against you, however actions speak louder than words, and we all know your actions. So don't sweat it. -
Just out of curiosity, and I do understand the whole idea of organizing that better, but for those who are not interested in Gaming and Multimedia, they would not be in those forums, therefor ti does not need to be organized. I know that I only poke around in there when theres an interesting topic name on the main page.

Sorry Degen, I will rephrase.... I have not been to the park since Cedar Fair has made any major changes.... That better?

When Will The Lights Go Out For The Beast? (or ON!)
SOB_TOM replied to PKISecurity's topic in Kings Island
If I remember correctly, The Beast has been honored by ACE, HOWEVER because of seat dividers, lap bars instead of buzz bars, and the changes made to the ride (the ones listed above) it is NOT on the list, and the same applies to Racer. That is why Fairly Oddcoaster is on that list, and The Beast and Racer are not, even though those two have more historical significance than the first. I do think that ACE needs to drop that and let those coasters who have advanced safety features on the list. IMO, its stupid NOT to have them on there. -
The Vortex was the tallest, fastest, and most looping steel roller coaster when built. SOB was the Tallest, fastest, only looping coaster, as well as the tallest structure built entirely of wood, used the most board feet of wood of any structure, and I forget the other 3-4 records it had. The Beast was the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster, but now is only the longest. Don't quote me on this, but I believe Reptar was the first Inverted kiddie coaster built. FoF was the first LIM launch coaster (which NASA, Air Force, Army and navy took a big look at...) Drop Zone is the tallest gyro drop in the world. King Cobra was the first standing looping coaster. I'm trying to think of some more that KI had, but I'm drawing a blank right now...

This sounds really stupid coming from my fingers, but since I have not been to the park since Cedar Fair bought the parks, I cannot comment on what I miss. Although the names are really stupid.

Hold on Terp, can Trepy be the "Reality check" side of Terp? -
Treat others' property as you want yours treated..... Just live by that...
-
The reason that it is like that is because of having to get out of the valley. Also, when all the theming was working on the ride, it really wasn't that big of a let down IMO.

monetarily and storage wise.....

Ahh I remember being at Tower 3. Good times. In fact, I still remember how to get the far cannon to shoot a stream of water that would not "break" at the top, so it was just one snake like looking stream of water (think massive garden hose.) It would normally drench two people, and the looks were hysterical... Oh and Mike is a good guy. I was wondering if he still worked up there.
-
Maybe its just me, but I would rather have a good park than a good website..... Excluding KIC of course

Oh if thats the case, I should sue for "dangerous working conditions" when I was trying to rake up leaves at work. Loving the sue happy Americans!

What I guess I should have said is that the courts are more fair right now than they used to be in Mason towards KI.
-
Definitely make time for the shows. In the last few years, the shows at KI have gotten a lot better than what they used to be. They are a must when going to KI for multiple days. My itinery would have the shows put in there on Sat afternoon and Sunday morning.

The ride had a design flaw that did not have seat separators in the pods. The woman passed out in a pod in which she was alone due to alcohol, slipped out, and fell to the pavement. Like Terpy said, they included seat dividers, and ridership plummeted. But I would like to add one thing, and mind you that I was young back then, but I remember Flight Commander having a pretty full queue all the time. Maybe I am mistaken, but the queue from memory was always full before the accident.

Time to shock the world: I have a grand total of 0 times. Thats right, zip, nada, zilch, goose egg, *buzzer*. So if anyone has a free ticket................
-
What she doesn't realize is right now, the Mason courts are siding WITH KI, not against, so even if it goes to court, she's not getting a dime.
-
Anyone else think that this woman is trying to garner public support so that she can have a lawsuit land her some money? Of course she is going to only mention what helps her. Why would she, oh I dont know, tell the truth? Oh wait, that would ruin her chances of a big fat load of money coming from KI to her. And Channel 5, at one point (long time ago,) was a respected news organization, but all you have to do is look at the ratings and you will notice that its junk. Plain and simple.
-
Actually, KI has an agreement with the Mason Police Department that states the parking lot is jurisdiction for Mason Police, inside the park is KI's jurisdiction, unless someone is being arrested. That is the only time Mason will come on premisis, so augmenting the Mason police would actually have more cops in the parking lot. And Buckeye, that is EXACTLY how it works.
