was it running under its own power or was it being pulled through? Sounds like a pull through if they were looking at the places it just went over.

did you make that or find it somewhere?

I just went this last wednesday and thursday, it wasn't BAD, but expect hour waits. You might thyen be pleasently suprised or right on target. BUT, there is always a possibility that I'm wrong. You can never know.

Wow.....all I can say is Wow. Can reporters look into storys before they write them? It seems like every time something happens in an amuzement park, the reporters get it all wrong, or atleast most of it.

Son of Beast is/was my favorite coaster by far. I will decide if it stays there after it opens back up. I haven't ridden Firehawk yet, but from what I've heard, it may very well be close to the top of my list.

I did that exact thing on Magnum-XL today. I can see where you are coming from. As soon as he saw me the small little smile went off his face and I felt bad. I would have gotten back off but the gates were closed...Oh well. It was still a good ride. Today I witnesed a boob on Maverick(if it won't stay in, wear more clothexessive cussinging), Smoking in lines, boxers, lots of boxers, people stopping in the paths, line jumping, lots of sticky spots on the ground where people can't hold on to their drinks (its not that hard to hold on to your drink, now I understand a bump and accidental spill, but they were everywhere today!!!) and thats just all I can remember right now.

The video was cool too.

Yeah...I found that if you hold on where your head or neck in my case hits, its a almost completely painless ride. The last overbanked turn was still a killer. This coming from a hands up kind of person.

I just got back from Cedar Point 5 minutes ago..I live 5 hours away...and Maverick is better than TTD in every way in my mind.It may have a faster launch, but Maverick's is better. If you've ridden it you know where I'm coming from. Amazing ride #1 now on my list.

That video made me realize how long its been since I've ridden it. I can't wait until its open. I hope its soon. As long as I can fit in the trains, I'm sure I will love it.

I thought that it cracked when that train went over it and thats why that train got sent to the hospital. I figured that it was the second train of the two and while the first train made its way up the hill they hit the e-stop when they noticed that everyone was bleeding.

Yeah the crew did a great job with stopping the other train on the lift. I can't even imagine what would have happened if two trains went through that spot. Maybe de-railment? It would probably be burned already if that happened. All that being said, I can't wait to ride it as soon as it opens back up.

I can't imagine any way to keep birds away except building a building around it...and last time i checked Disaster Transport is the only one in a building at CP. I got stop on the Emergency brakes on Gemini one time. A bird sat in front of one of the sensors....so it thought there was another train there. We were there for about 15 minutes and we got a pass to walk on to any ride in the park....except TTD so we went to MF.

My initial thought when I heard about the single train in the station was one of those controlled pull throughs. Maybe this means that they have the new "S-Turn" completed and now all they have to do is finish the trains and test run it x-number of times.....and get state approval of course.

I went last year on a sunday and got to rode each major coaster once and dragster twice. I would call that a good day!!!

We skipped a 2 hour wait for Millenium Force. I hate to say it, but it was relly fun to watch the face of the people who were next in line.

I was in a similar situation at CP one time. A bird set off one of the sensors on gemini so the e-brakes stopped us right before the final run. Mechanics came and had to reset the brakes and pushed us to get started. We got a pass to skip the line on any ride. It was awesome.

There was just a series of stupid people comments left in another topic, so I figured I could start one about all the stupid things we hear or see at Kings Island or anywhere else for that matter. Its a great way to get a couple of laughs.

there are a lot of confused people out there. I was once told that The Beast was the tallest and fastest woodie in the world. When I brought up the fact that there was a taller and faster one less that half a mile away, he just denied it by saying that SOB wasn't all that tall.

Another thought right after I hit the post button.... if the rumored third train comes, then the colors will constantly switch sides.

I doubt that it matters, but if both stations are open they will probably keep one color to each side just to keep it a fair wait between the two sides.

I think it would be awesome to get a sky swat over in X-base and a skyhawk-type ride somewhere else. I can wait a couple years for a new coaster...but it would be awesome if we got two in a row. Some one said earlier that Cedar Fair likes to wait 2-3 years btween coasters. I agree, but...they installed Millenium Force, Wicked Twister, and Top Thrill Dragster all in a 4 year span (2000-2003). I think that the fact that they took an existing ride and moved it to KI means that we have an improved chance for another coaster next year. Sorry about the tiny pic earlier...I'll try and make a bigger one now that I'm out of school and have time do what ever I feel like.

didn't wicked twister go in 2001...cause that would be Millenium force in 2000 and Wicked twister in 2001...and if it was 2002, then it would be WT and then 2003 for TTD. I don't think Cedar Fair has any problems with two coasters in two years. I would think that the fact that one was used would make two coasters in two years even more of a possibility.

its really small so...it starts on congo falls...curves aound top gun and comes back.
