  1. A new comedy show that will make you laugh so hard you "wet your pants".
  2. Since this is currently being constructed, I have to think that at least one person knows. Yeah, yeah, get technical on me. But I think you understood what I meant. Yeah, but I just HAD to. Terp would have otherwise.

  4. ^You're assuming it's going to be a B&M giga. No one knows yet.
  5. ^Cute. My nickname at work used to be "Groundhog". Probably because I was always hiding in my office during meetings. Nah...I'm just being a little dramatic. I do feel stupid, yes, because I usually catch things like that. But not that stupid.
  6. Grrreat. I should have noticed that. Once again I feel like a complete idiot and utterly useless moron. So if you'll excuse me, I need to go crawl back into my hole and never show my face again. I'm so embarrassed right now.
  7. I wonder how that compares to the cost of the foundation elements for Diamondback. This is my first post and a little off topic, but I was reading an article about that scream thing, and it said that it sounded like a Bigfoot scream... If you're referring to the News 5 story, it mentions the noise is being heard in a small town north of Middletown. I really doubt the screams are related to a teaser for the new coaster, because Kings Island is about 15 miles southeast of there.
  8. Public records request in Mason...?
  9. Eh....I'm too old to care about all this teaser stuff. Personally I'd rather they just go ahead and tell us. I've never understood the desire to make people wait for a huge announcement when there is clearly construction work taking place. Is there a reason why parks do that? No, not directly. But when you hear the word "exciting", a former Reds player signing autographs isn't exactly the image that pops into your head. I think what I was expecting was something along the lines of "What will leave you screaming and begging for more next year? Visit Kings Island on [insert date] when we reveal the latest thrill that will have people running for cover." Something like that.
  10. That's the exciting news?? News, maybe, but hardly exciting.
  11. Absolutely! I couldn't agree more. No offense, but I have no idea why anyone would want a B&M giga. Lift, drop, hills, curves, hammerhead, more hills and curves, brake run, more hills and curves, then back to the station. Let's face it - except for the speed and a little extra airtime, a giga is nothing more than a glorified hyper. It's time for Kings Island to get a full-circuit major steel coaster that actually has some inversions we don't currently see on any coaster at the park....an inclined loop, zero g, dive loop, and Immelman.
  12. Out through the fields and the woods And over the walls I have wended; I have climbed the hills of view And looked at the world, and descended; I have come by the highway home, And lo, it is ended. I wonder if Robert Frost enjoyed roller coasters.
  13. I'm not jumping to conclusions, either. I merely inferred there are places where someone could legally park and keep an eye open to confirm IF the track was being delivered to Kings Island. If they were coming from Maryland, they would most likely head southwest along I-81 through Virginia and on into Tennessee.
  14. Okay, that's true enough. Good point. Anyone need to do a bit of shopping at Target or Kohl's on Rt. 48? But I'm not sure why it matters if the route is less visible. Once the track starts being delivered (basing this on assumption), it would become visible from the Eiffel Tower, no? Probably true. And I know I wouldn't be able to make it over there in time to keep my eyes peeled for it.
  15. So the truck would probably be exiting I-71 at Kings Mills Rd. There's a McDonald's there. Anyone got a sudden craving for a Big Mac?
  16. Is there any place to legally park around Kings Island for a couple of hours to sit and look for a truck with green track entering the property?
  17. I'm sure that would make someone excited. It's certainly interesting. If it was heading south on I-71, it's highly doubtful it was on its way to Chicago.
  18. Thank you so much for posting this comment. It means a lot to me to hear you say that, and I just gained a TON of new respect for you. I'm not exactly a "new" member here, as I signed up a number of years ago, and I don't have thousands of posts - but I've always been timid about posting my opinions because I'm a sensitive person by nature, and some of the responses I've received in the past have made me feel a bit unwelcome here. I may not be the smartest person in the world when it comes to how theme parks operate, or what would make a great new addition to the park, so I probably say some stupid things. But I feel a bit better now.
  19. I guess I'm missing the point about why it was brought it up. Never mind. I sense that no matter what you say in this forum, people are going to jump on your for it. Friendly place. I'll just bow out of the discussion and wait until later this Summer to find out what's going on.
  20. ^Bing Maps shows the yellow track in its satellite images. I'm not seeing yellow track using Google's satellite images, even though you see the same yellow track on Street View. Either way, the images aren't current. If they were, you'd be able to see the dark green track, too.
  21. This probably won't be a popular opinion, but I actually hope it's not a dive machine, or even a giga. I'd rather see a B&M floorless, or even a...*GASP*....stand-up coaster. But all of our speculation seems to center around a steel coaster. Any chance we might actually see a wooden twister instead? I mean, they took away a wood coaster...stands to reason they might replace it with another one. Just sayin'.
  22. I really shouldn't care what they do next year, but I will say it's about time they did something to either fix SOB or replace it. The thing's been closed far too long, and since next year is the park's 40th anniversary (right?), they need to do something in keeping with that and not simply another waterpark expansion or rebranding.
  23. Eh, not really. I'm not expecting a new coaster or anything - even though I think they desperately need a new wooden twister to replace SOB. All I meant in my post is that next year would be the opportune time to give us another record-breaking coaster, instead of simply a flat ride. Maybe we will get one in 2013, who knows. Just saying it should be next year so as to coincide with the milestone anniversary, that's all. And who knows...they still haven't announced anything yet, so any and all talk about next year's new thing is mere speculation at this point.
  24. I just hope they bear in mind it's the park's 40th anniversary and give us something more in keeping with that fact, and not just a swing set on steroids...or whatever.
  25. Just a helpful word of advice.... Before uploading anything to YouTube, you might want to get the Travel Channel's permission first, just to be sure you aren't violating any copyrights.
