Screamscape as stated before gets most of its information right here and if you actually paid any attention to anything you would know that the CEO of Cedar Fair has clearly stated that no park will be getting a wing coaster anytime soon. I am sorry but you have utterly made me ****ed. It is as if you think you know more and you tell us we are wrong even though we have been on this case for quite sometime now. Isn't it obvious folks? The word obvious means "clearly seen; unmistakably evident and visible; easily understood". Obviously the meaning of the tweet isn't obvious. From my perspective, it could mean different things. It may not even have anything at all to do with what KI's building. This could simply be another one of Don's "tweetups" to people in the park, where if they find him and give him the correct answer, they win something.

But KK is only spending $7 million on the new coaster. It's highly unlikely to be a B&M.

Yeah, it's kinda sad that people listen to these rumors to start with. You're right, it's not worth arguing about. I just know myself, and I'd be apt to say something like "Vortex isn't sinking....that's just a rumor". If they want to argue, then I'd probably just say "Well, maybe you know something I don't" and leave it at that....even if I knew better. I hate confrontations with people. I agree, my friend. I understand it's not necessarily appropriate to ask them about any particular park's track. I just meant people should ask first before taking pictures. I think we're both in agreement on things, though. We're good. Oh...EDIT: I missed something you said. In no way would I want anyone to annoy them. I wouldn't even advocate mentioning an affiliation with this site or any park.

I think if I heard people say something like that, I'd speak up and correct their misunderstanding. Otherwise the rumors just keep spreading. If people want to take pictures of track on the CSF property, why don't they just call them ahead of time and ask....or drive over there, stop in the office, and ask in person. Ohio law is very clear on that; entering private property without authorization is trespassing. You should never call any of Cedar Fair's vendors to inquire about anything related to their parks. Trust me - vendors hate when they are contacted by customers of their clients. This can strain these types of relationships. Take photos from the road, but stay out and leave CSF alone. Please. I'm not advocating trespassing. The whole point of my response is to prevent trespassing. If you can't see that, you're obviously misunderstanding my comment. B&M does work for other companies, not just Cedar Fair. And CSF does other kinds of steel work, not just B&M track for Cedar Fair or other amusement park chains. Nowhere did I say you should call CSF and ask them about an amusement park's projects. I said to call them first to ask...meaning to ask if they allow people to take pictures of track on their property. I highly doubt walking into their office to ask constitutes trespassing. I think that would be the much more responsible thing to do instead of simply going there to take pictures of the track first.

I've been to some message forums where a member's posts can be put into a queue for a moderator to review and approve first before being publicly posted. Is that an option here at KIC?

FWIW, you really don't need a Twitter account to keep up with Don's posts. Just go here every once in a while and you can read the updates. I agree. I mean no offense to those of you who are new members because I truly welcome you to the site, but so much of what you're talking about, and so many of the questions you're asking, have already been addressed in this very thread. your a little late to the party, we dropped the b&m vs intanim topic on the last page! That doesn't invalidate what I wrote. And besides, I'm not always glued to this website refreshing the page to see if new posts have been made. Sometimes I get distracted and do other things. In the time it takes me to type a reply, a dozen new posts have been made. So cut me some slack. And welcome to KIC.

Let me just say this, and then I need to hang it up for the night: I don't dislike YoungStud. I admire his loyalty to Intamin. I understand he has his opinions, and he's more than welcome to them. I'm not even saying anything bad about Intamin. In fact, I couldn't care less if the coaster is Intamin or B&M. But I get annoyed by the whole ragging on B&M thing, because it's like listening to a whining little kid who didn't get the Christmas present he asked Santa for. Life is like that. I want him to join in the celebration of whatever we do get. I want him to have fun here, and I want him to feel welcomed here. But he needs to learn he's not going to get everything he wants, and whining about it won't help. But that doesn't mean he will NEVER get what he wants. He's just not getting it this time. Who knows what KI holds for the future. Maybe Intamin will be selected to build a giga, and then YS will be happy he waited. Have a good night, YoungStud. I mean that.

It's amazing how many posts you've racked up by doing nothing more than ragging on B&M. For as much as you apparently detest them, you'll probably still be riding the new coaster next year at KI.

I think, as time goes on, the only thing that really makes a park unique these days is either theming - which KI can't do on the scale of Disney - or overall park experience and ambiance. Simply having a giga coaster or Intamin blitz isn't going to do it. I know someone already posted a video, but I thought maybe it would be nice to post a link to a Google image search of The Joker's Jinx. Just to clarify, I think the interviewer said something else right as Matt started to speak, but it's inaudible. Whatever the interviewer said is what I think Ouimet was referring to when he said "Yeah, clearly that's the case".

I wonder if maybe KIC needs to institute a rule requiring everyone to read through an entire thread first before commenting. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say the issue of Project 2014 being a wing coaster is a dead one. This has been discussed over and over already: it is NOT going to be a wing coaster. PLEASE....watch this video and pay particular attention to what Matt Ouimet says starting at timestamp 2:15. P.S.
