  1. I was only able to go 5 times this year. I did take advantage of my Maxx Pass and visited Cedar Point 4 times as well!
  2. ^ Now, I wouldn't say that it was smooth, but definately not as rough. I have learned that if you don't tense up your body it doesn't feel as bad either.
  3. I always enjoy how you say it without saying it
  4. Not saying that the photo isn't real, but it TOTALLY looks photoshoped. It's just amazing how that bright of a coaster contrasts the dark, gloomy background. That is exactly what I thought when I first saw the pics!
  5. The rides that I miss the most are KCKC and Smurf's Enchanted Voyage. The Wild Thornberries just isn't enough, and while I love Scooby Doo, I don't love his latest ride.
  6. I would love to be the grandma that wraps up her cat and a jello mold! HAHA
  7. I'm sure that it doesn't help that when you call the park it still has "Thank you for calling Paramount's Kings Island" or atleast it did the last time that I called.
  8. OK, not to get back on topic or anything... But, I was waiting in line for The Beast on Saturday and I heard one of the ride attendants telling another guest that The Beast was getting new trains in '08 or '09. She said that the ARE going to be PTC trains. I thought it was funny because I just read this forum before I went to the park.

Wow... that makes me feel really old!
  10. I think that this article is one of the worst written articles that I have ever read. I had to re-read the same sentence a couple of times to get what this guy was saying. ^Maybe I didn't read it correctly, but I thought that I read you can save ten dollars by purchasing online. Sorry if I offend anyone.

ok... I have read many things about "snapping" the eagles. I have been going to Kings Island for over 25 years. I haven't ridden the Eagles since I was a little kid with my grandma. Will someone explain to me exactly what snapping is. Please don't harrass me about not knowing, I guess I thought as a teen and adult that the Eagles weren't that fun so I never rode them and learned about this great thing called snapping. Now I read all of your fun times on the eagles and I wish that I would have tried it as an adult.
  12. I have been to Cedar Point many times this year and everytime that I went it was running except when I went during the torrential downpour that was August 19th. But it opened later in the day when it stopped raining. Good job to the ride ops and maintenance crew for keeping my 2nd favorite ride at CP going like it should.
  13. And the restrooms are not haunted areas. That's about it. That would be the best place to get scared if you are going to pi$$ yourself.
  14. Yep, I had the Patio Pizza. It was probably one of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten. I will have to try the Chuckwagon pizza the next time. Thanks for the advice.
  15. I think that last years FF was better than CP's Halloween Event. Toward the back of the park, the scenery was pretty good. I agree that it did seem short of actors and was a bit watered down. Again, the Fear Faire (the midevil themed walk through) was the best one. They could have been short of actors and I didn't realize it. Maybe they were the same ones scaring me over and over again. They probably target the girls that act scared and keep getting them. I didn't get startled that much in the houses, but when I did get scared in the Fear Faire the scareactors kept going after me. I'm going to HH at KI on 10/13 and I will definetly compare it to last years FF and this year's CP event. Looking forward to a great scare!
  16. Well, I made my first trip to CP's Halloweekends. I have been to CP many times this year and previous years, but this was first time during Halloweekends. We got to the park right after it opened and headed to the MF lockers to put up our coats as it was a beautiful day at the park. I noticed it was only a half hour to 45 minute wait for MF and we jumped in line. The friends that I went with had never been to CP before. They were a little apprehensive to ride such a tall coaster right away. They were very nervous going up the lift hill, but as soon as we dropped, they loved it! Then we went to check out Maverick, but the line was already 2 and 1/2 hour wait. We decided to walk toward the Magnum, but then I convinced them to go on TTD. What a ride that is! I have ridden this ride so many times, but it gives me such an adreneline rush everytime. When we finished riding these two coasters it was a little after 3pm and the indoor Haunted Attractions were open. We first went to the Phaoroh's Secret which is in the Disaster Transport building. This was an okay attraction. We had a group of young teens behind us that were very jumpy so it turned out to be more funny than scary watching these kids get scared and scream. BTW it is in 3-D but you have to purchase the glasses for a dollar while you are in line. We headed over to the Lair of the Vampire. This was better because it was darker. There were times were I couldn't see where I was going and I had to put my hand along the wall to find my way. I think that it makes it scarier that way. I was surprised to see as many little children in these things as I did. Then we headed for the Raptor, still an hour wait, but worth it in my opinion. I didn't tell my friends that there was on ride video and it was funny to see their faces during the ride. I would like to say that I can never find good food at CP. I had ONE piece of pizza (for $4) and it was not good. I know that KI's food has gone downhill but this was expensive and still didn't taste good. Later on I had the hand cut fries and cheese, but again (for $5) it was expensive and not even fully cooked. If anyone knows where the "good" food is at CP let me know! We decided to go early and wait in the Werewolf Canyon line since I was told by people on this site that it was the most wait. We were probably 30 people back from the front of the line. The unfortunate thing is that they opened the attraction at 7:30 and it wasn't dark and we could see all of the "werewolves" except for the very heavy fog that filled the canyon. After this we went to Undertaker U. This was a good indoor attraction. Very gruesome scenes and good scareactors. It was very dark at this point and we decided to go back to the werewolf canyon and give it another try. It was much better at dark. The scarezones were next for us. The Fright Zone was okay, it was very dark and VERY foggy. We then went through what was my favorite part of the night, the Medival walk through area. I think that it is called Fear Faire. It was great. I was scared repeatedly and we couldn't find our way out. I was chased by all kinds of crazy looking people and what I thought was stationary props were actually people that jumped out and scared me. We then went through CARNevil and it wasn't as good as I expected. It didn't seem that there were very many scaractors in that area. My friend was suffering from a huge headache because of the fog, so we decided to call it quits and drive back to Cincinnati. All in all it was a great time and it makes me even more anxious to go to KI for Halloween Haunt!
  17. It is still quite possible to have fun when the park is packed, you just have to do it right. Im assuming you have a Maxx Pass, if everyone else in your group does too that means that you can enter an hour before the park opens (huge plus) but either way here are some basic rules to follow: -Park in the Soak City Lot. That way you will enter at the Magnum entrance, and means you will be much closer to TTD, MF, and Maverick then the Main entrance. To get to the SS parking lot, be in the far left lane at the parking booths, and continue up the Perimeter Road or if you are in another lane but your left turn sign on for the first parking attendant after you pay. Either way, also check to see if Maverick is running (if you are able to do early entry.) -The key to hitting most of the big rides is to hit them early, if you are able to be there for early entry get there early (30 min before) so you are somewhat near the front of the line. If you saw Maverick testing when you drove by it head there first and ride, if you didnt, go to MF and ride, try to do the ride you didnt do next then head to TTD to get that one out of the way when the park opens. -If you cant use early entry, then save Maverick for later (it already has and will have for the rest of the day a 105 min wait) and try to do TTD (assuming it opens on time) first, otherwise hit MF. -Dont do Raptor until the late afternoon, it has its biggest lines in the morning. -Check what time the indoor houses open, and be sure to be at one (I suggest either Pharoh's or Vampire since you can easily knock off these two back to back with minimal waits) 15 before opening before the line forms -If you are going to do Werewolf Canyon (and again, if its windy dont bother, if it isnt its pretty cool) get there 60-45 min before opening and queue up, trust me youll be happy because by the time it opens the wait will be 2+ hours long -Fright Zone and Fear Faire are scare zones and thus have no lines. They are also the best haunted attractions ride "early and often" -Since you wisely choose to park in Soak City, you can take advantage on the tail end of the night too. Magnum during the last 30 min the park is open is usually close to a walk on and at worse 15 min. You should be able to marathon the sucker at least 3 times before the park closes for an amazing cap to your day. I have a Maxx Pass but the people that I am going with do not... can I still park in the Soak City lot? And don't I have to go to guest relations in the front of the park to get my pass scanned and hand stamped to even get through the gates?
  18. Wow, all of this makes me really excited to go (that was sarcasm). Especially since it is on a Saturday and every other time that I have been to Cedar Point (even on a weekday)it has been packed! That's too bad because I am taking a couple of friends who have never been to Cedar Point and I was looking forward to them having a good experience. I have ridden everything but Maverick at night and I agree that the coasters are better at night, especially MF. Oh well, I'll have fun anyway. Thanks for the input guys!
  19. I am going to CP this weekend to the Halloween event. I was wondering if anyone has been to this event and if it is as good as KI's?
  20. Would anyone have a pic or a link to show what the heartline roll looked like?
  21. I went on the first Saturday of Fear Fest last year and it was a great day to go. The lines for rides during the day were not very long at all. However, the lines for the FF attractions were long (atleast a half hour to hour wait, and some were longer). I guess these lines are always going to be long.
  22. Two trains on one track... okay... if you say so... Pardon me for using my imagination.
  23. I thought that it implied that there would be two trains on the same track, but wasn't sure... thanks for the insight. He doesnt know that for sure. Actually that is not what that is for at all. I have an article around here somewhere about it but I have no idea what I did with it. Personally I cannot imagine how you can invision two trains on that one piece of track. Actually, before I saw this pic I as reading the "Show Me Your Photoshop" forum and thought it might be just that. I guess I would have to see more than just one piece of track to really envision the setup of two trains on the one track. It would be interesting to read the article or atleast tell us what the article states about what the track is. edit: Nevermind... just saw your post.
