I wouldn't limit it to just coasters considering the placement of TR:TR

So, he couldn't fit, eh? That is greatly disappointing. I'm 6'5" also. I was hoping to get one more ride in to rekindle those youthful fun times. How close was he to fitting? Man, that sucks if I can't ride it. My brother is 6'7" and he fits only if he rides alone. He has to sit diagonally so no one could really sit next to him. He is also about 175 though so he is also very skinny which helps.

That's a good point. I don't think CF can do any worse than Paramount did.

We were at the park from open to about 6pm. We were in the water park from about 1-3pm -
Yeah, my bro and two of my friends used theirs to get into CP just last week.

That sounds similar to my experience there last year. X-Flight (now our beloved Firehawk) was a walk-on all day long. The only crowded part of that park is Wildwater Kingdom. No one is in the dry park. -
If you go to the water park you could ride the lazy river with your infant. I was at the waterpark today and their was a mother riding the lazy river with her baby. You might also be able to ride La Adventura de Azul (a Dora the Explorer themed train ride) and the Lazytown Sportacopters with your baby. Both of these rides are located in the Nick Universe area of the park which is where I assume you'll be spending most of your day.

Well that was a fun diversion there but lets bring this topic back on track a little. Is there any chance that TTD would be taken out to make way for a new ride within the next 10 years? Kinzel really seems to hate it and it also has all sorts of mechanical problems all the time. It probably has the most downtime of any ride in the park. One the other hand it is a really popular ride and it was very expensive. What are your thoughts guys?

I recommend checking out this website www.rcdb.com It is a complete listing of all the rollercoasters in the world. I don't think it is exactly what you are looking for but it certainly is a good reference to use when trying to talk intelligently about coasters. I also find it useful for comparing coasters between parks. I recently used it to help me decide if I should go to Kings Dominion or Carrowinds this summer.

Build something German there. Then it could start the great revival of Oktoberfes! lol.

I'd much rather have an inverted ride like Raptor. IMO floorless rides are overrated. I was at CP and GL last year in the same week and Raptor was a far better ride than Dominator IMO.

You guys are all wrong. They are moving all of the KI rides to GL and only keeping the water park here.

When I was there in June 2006 everything was a walk-on EXCEPT the waterpark stuff. It was packed over there. If they can get those people to use the dry park I don't think they will lose anymore coasters.

I really liked the jumpsuits the TG crew used to have. I thought those were a nice touch. Also I love the TG soundtrack playing in the line. But as far as the actual people on the crew go, The Beast is by far the best. One of the reasons I like Cedar Point so much is that nearly all the crews treat their ride like it is the best and most exciting ride in the park. I always feel like the crew is really into it when I'm at CP. I hope that CF can get KI crews up to that level.

The SOB trains were horrible for anyone over 6'0" and/or 200lbs. They were the tiniest trains I've ever been in besides The Beastie. That's one of the reasons I got hurt so badly when I rode SOB. Hopefully the new trains will be much roomier.

Some pay as you ride waste of space? Do you agree?

the trampolines must go! coasterville is right. That piece of Coney Mall isn't being utilized to its fullest potential. -

Kinzel will know and I think he would feel bad. I do agree that the GP has very little knowledge about these sorts of things. I just think Kinzel is going to want to put his own mark on KI and I don't think sending us rides built by Six Flags will satisfy that desire for him. He's going to want to put a major CF commissioned ride in the park. -
I do not think we will get another hand-me-down coaster from GL. I suspect the GL coasters would be shifted to other CF parks besides KI if they do get moved.

My number one pet peeve is people smoking in line or in the non-smoking areas. I really don't have a problem with PG-13 level cussing. However, you should always take a look around you before you say something that could offend a parent. I do have a problem when people can't make it through a sentence without dropping the f-bomb 5 times, though. I have major problems with couples who make out in public. They are equally as disgusting as the fat women in bikinis or spandex.

It would be silly for them to install both stations as well as queues leading to them both if they weren't going to use both sides all the time. Using just one side is such a waste. Plus seeing the track flip is just so cool!

I would say no. A two-day trip is best if you can manage it. Cedar Point is a very large park and a lot of walking is required to hit all the major coasters and flat rides. Also, there are just so many great rides that I can't imagine fitting them all into one day. Usually it takes me 3 days to hit all the major rides but I also spend about 3 hours a day in the water park and I do multiple rides on Millennium Force, TTD, and Raptor.

I think that GL is going to continue to expand the waterpark whilst simultaneously losing dry rides to other parks. I could see some of the rides going to Michigan's Adventure and Dorney Park in order to make lower cost improvements to those parks. I don't think KI will get another GL ride in the near future because Kinzel shows such a fondness for the park I think he wants to make some novel improvements rather than just shipping some hand-me-down rides from other CF parks.
