  1. Oh the good old days when we were young...how I wish we could go back to them...speaking of that, did I ever tell you I walked 6 miles back and forth from school everyday?!
  2. I appreciated when the powers that be decided to bring back an ivy tunnel...it isn’t something that was actually necessary, so it was nice that they cared enough about their customers to go to the added expense.
  3. I’m torn, it was handy knowing what color of car the person(s) you wanted to take a picture of while they (not you) were riding...but I must say, the newest paint job does look great/retro.
  4. Every generation of my family has enjoyed Shake, Rattle & Roll. It is a good family ride that both young and old can enjoy together.
  5. I hope everyone has a nice/safe Easter!
  6. Every now and then I like to pretend to be an optimist...and you’re trying to rain on my (Easter) parade!
  7. I hope everyone had a good opening day...let’s NOT do it again next year!
  8. ^The paint job didn't turn out as nice as I was hoping!
  9. At least somethings are still normal...are they allowing more than 1 person per buggy?
  10. Since the park hasn’t said if they will be selling any pieces of Vortex, I grabbed my souvenir just in case.
  11. Finally! Gotta get some blue ice cream!
  12. I know...they used to say that the only things you could count on in life were death & taxes...but they need to update that saying to include this!
  13. Back in the day when they sold Son of Beast track pieces and bolts when it closed, the park originally stated that pieces of wood would be offered...then they nixed that idea....I believe it was because it was treated lumber and there were safety concerns.
  14. Not a great photo...but the swan wasn’t being very cooperative today.
  15. I like seeing signs that Spring is coming...it makes being at home a little easier if you can at least enjoy the outdoors.
  16. Just practicing my selective quote journalism skills in case I need to go looking for a temporary job in the future.
  17. If this article is accurate...at least the state of Ohio should be better off economically than most others. (I'm in Illinois...so we're about in the middle.) https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/coronavirus-states-hardest-financially-154119387.html
  18. As for The Interpreter, I have always thought he was an acquired taste...you just had to know how to read his comments, otherwise they could sometimes come off as rude...which I don’t think was ever his intention. I only had the privilege of meeting him a couple of times in person, and I concur, he was always nice.
  19. I lost my job once due to downsizing years ago* I can understand your feelings, it can be scary. Unless someone has been through this it is hard to understand how it feels. (Things that you once considered important don’t even enter your mind because of the really important things that you are dwelling on.) Once again, I wish you all the best and try to keep thinking positive...although I know through experience that is hard. *In the end I did find a new/better job and it turned out fine...I hope the same for you.
  20. Oh...you don't have to worry about THAT around here!
  21. As an adult I am impressed with how nice The International Street buildings look all lit up at night...I imagine to a young child they must appear even more magical.
  22. @BeeastFarmer, that is an amazing stone fence! (The flowers are nice too. )
  23. @Joshua, I am so sorry about your situation ...hopefully this won’t last too long.
